I love this place. The vet is very knowledgeable and talks you through everything. Explains what he’s doing/looking for, and what the pet could need. I’ve brought my cat and dog in for various services, never disappointed. No trying to upsell you on anything. Just quality care.

Timothy, our vet, is absolutely amazing, extremely professional and knows exactly what he’s taking about. He took care of our baby Clover when he’s gotten attacked by another dog and fixed him right up. He goes above and beyond and we appreciate you so much and everything you do!

Really sweet staff that was very helpful. Took my pooch in because she started walking differently. Very friendly. Super helpful. Good value.

I don't normally review but this is needed. I was sent to this Vet from mine because mine was too busy. I have a Dogo Argentino and never in her life did she show aggression. The vet took her in the back and she came back with hair standing up and showing teeth. They told me cause of the safety of them they cant help. She has never been the same since and now every time I take her in she is scared and very protective. I dont know what happened back there but it has scared her for life. Dr. Black at Sunnyvale is the ONLY vet that can handle her now. Since she is large and intimating looking I have hard time even boarding her now.

The staff is very professional. I would reccomend calling and making an appointment, they get very busy and that is for a reason. Upon walking in they ask for your/your pet information and symptoms (if any). I have brought my 1 yr old puppy a few times to this location and Dr. Herrick is passionate and eager to share his knowledge. He clearly tells you his plan of action and is genuinely concerned for his patients. This place is busy because they deliver quality care, it is impressive the amount of animals they help in a day/week. Their pricing is fair, we are always happy/ relieved with their service.

Really non-pushy, welcoming staff. Loved the vet and assistants. Took my new kitten here for his first exam and to get dewormed. Everything is reasonably priced and the exam was also very fair at $50. You can tell the vet will not force you to do anything you don't want to do, or suggest things you realllly don't need. I will be continuing to take my little one here and bring my others in for their boosters!

Last November, Dr Herrick operated on Megan , a 7 years old German Shepherd to remove a soft tissue on her left foot. Doctor & his staff took good care of her. The price is really decent. However in March, the cancer was rapidly spreading It is really heartbroken seeing her suffer. I took Megan to Dr. Herrick to put her to sleep. He was very concern & wanted to save her life. I declined any treatment because I knew that it was the late stage. Dr Herrick took the lung X-ray for free & showed me .He comforted me that I did nothing wrong. It was a right decision. That really help me feel not so guilty. I really miss Megan. A few weeks later I even received a sympathy card from the doctor. He is very professional, caring & full of love not only to the pet but also to the family. I highly recommend Dr Herrick & his team.

Our experience with this vet hospital is always excellent. All of the staff are veryfriendly and professional. Dr. Herrick is the best! I think I'd even let him operate on me! I want to update this review (May 2021). Dr. Herrick is still fantastic! Recently, we lost one of our beleoved cats and his sensitivity and kindness was so touching. We simply cannot praise him enough! Hre is great vet and a wonderful man!

The Vet was very caring towards my dog and helped calm my anxiety down. My chihuahua looks like Bolt from Disney. I was walking him down Idaho St by the park near railroad tracks and a kid let loose a pitbull. My dog tried his best to evade him until he got home of his neck. The owners did help me get bob off. However had 2 abrasions where teeth sunk into his neck. I called 5 minutes before closing and they saw us. This was the closest place and I’m thankful

Over time I've brought a few of my pets both cat and dog here and they've always been attentive, and professional. You can tell they all love animals. The doctor gave me good news about my dog and didn't push anything unnecessary on me. He explained everything thoroughly and was very nice. I will definitely bring any of my pets here! The only Vet I take my babies too ! Highly recommend! Very thorough checkups ! They don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need ! They really care about the animals and the people who take care of them !

We have 4 rescue cats. Dr. Herrick and staff have treated our boys awesome. They also saved one's life. Things weren't looking good for my ThunderCloud, but Dr Herrick saved him and got him on the mend. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people running it. Thank ypu!!

My bearded dragon had tail rot and they sedated her and fixed it! My sulcata tortoise had a cold and they fixed it!

Very decent food. Good service. Well decorated. Not bad. But not outstanding.

Great people and a great place

They charge $316 for a ROUTINE CAT NEUTER! Of which the Pet does not actually ever go under anesthesia if it is a male cat it is just given A simple injection of ketamine and valium that temporarily knocks out the pet so they can perform the procedure. I was a vet tech for 12 years I know the exact procedure. Charging $316 is absolutely price gouging and I will be reporting this to the American veterinary board.

The office staff and techs awesome!!! The dr vet knowledge and compassion is rad. So I’ll cut it short; worked there a week I am being trained by a girl that’s only been there a few months instead of front manager. I messed up on the weight do to scale issues and only working a week and instead of showing me how to use it or work with it he asked if I was dyslexic and had tech come and ask me if I knew how to use the scale but then never showed me.By the way the girl teaching was doing her best to train me and running the front office that day. Then dr talks to tech staff to unprofessional witch didn’t bother me it was good gossip but for him to talk to a client that way is to unprofessional for me. Again the animals are loved so much But the dr management not that great.

The Dr. Is so knowledgeable and you can tell he loves animals. Staff is nice, love the random cats walking around. Makes me happy. And it smells very pleasant. Prices are pretty decent. Taking all my pets here.

The Vet was friendly and attentive to our dogs needs. He even made a house visit when my Hutchi passed away. The staff is wonderful and they make you feel very welcome. Thank you for your great service. Debra A

Wonderful and amazing doctor and staff. Under the horrible circumstances for my visit, my experience there was great.

It has taken me three months to be able to write this review. My cat Sammy had hyperthyroidism along w/IBD and had been being treated for these issues by Dr. Herrick for a couple of years. I believe the IBD turned into cancer and Sammy was having terrible diarrhea. I took him to the emergency clinic on a Sunday night, they gave him some meds for this issue. They want you to follow up w/your regular vet. So I made an appointment at La Habra Animal Hospital for the next morning. Unfortunately Dr. Herrick was on vacation and Dr. Shenouda was the vet filling in for him. Bottom line, he gave Sammy a shot that sent him into organ failure and he was dead by Monday night. He was screaming in pain the whole day once he received that shot and Dr. Shenouda refused to put him down at my request b/c he was at lunch! Zero compassion. I know I would have lost Sammy to cancer anyway but Dr. Shenouda made his last day a nightmare for both Sammy and myself. I will never forgive myself for letting him give Sammy that shot. The only positive thing I can say is that Dr. Herrick is decent and the office staff was wonderful - they tried really hard to help me find a vet who would put Sammy out of his terrible pain. In the end I went to Sunny Hills, a vet practice also owned by Dr. Shenouda I believe but the female vet on duty was very compassionate and helped Sammy cross the rainbow bridge. Sammy was a kitten when I got him and he was 14 when he died. My life will never be the same and I live with the guilt every day. Please never let Dr. Shenouda touch your pet.

They did a great job taking care of our cat and were able to also give him a bath at the same time as his service. Staff were friendly and efficient!

I was so happy that you could see Karl on such notice. The staff was very kind and helpful. The Dr. really seemed concerned and to me he went out of the norm to help her get some relief. But my apologies for her biting him. I will definitely recommend you to others that may need your services. Thank you, Katy and Karl.

Dr. Herrick is fantastic! He nursed our dog back to good health, after being misdiagnosed for almost 2 years. He is compassionate and explains in detail everything he recommends.

I went in to the vet fearful that my dog had a life-threatening uterus infection. I was very anxious because my budget would not cover all I had read online. Dr. Herrick encouraged me that she was going to get better and had a great understanding of her condition. We were able to treat her within my means too! I am so glad I have such a great vet just down the street!!

I only went in to purchase special food for my cat Emny. He is kind of special to me as I found him originally on the ground abandoned at 3 weeks old. I Bottle fed him and raised him along side of my dogs. However he is alive because of the care he received from this hospital. I don't know how many times I took him back to the hospital to seve him. As I cried in their office thinking I was going have to put him to sleep. Uniary tract issue which some male cats get even though he is a house cat and well taken care of. Each time I went in with him without an appt. the doctor saw him. He did several emergency proceedures on him and finally we have a healthy cat again. I will never forget the doctors words, I can save him but I need to do emergency surgery now, and it was not easy for Emmy who kept having other issues related to the original problem. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and his staff, they have been the best thru my tears and my smiles as my dear sweet cat was finally on the mend. I would refer them and the hospital without hesitation. I have never had a vet who cared like so much and I have always had animals. Thank you again for saving Emmy's life.

You can tell a lot about a place when your doggies are at ease and very comfortable. Staff is very friendly- as is the Doctor.
