I came to here because we thought we can trust VCA. But there are a few reasons that we won't come here again. 1) The price quote for neutering differs by $400 when we decided to come for a neutering two months later; there is actually other hidden cost 2) when we came to clarify, the receptionist was unable to provide a good reason, he said "probably it's because of the weight" and my pup's weight actually decreased. If you can't provide a reason, how do you expect people to trust you with their dogs? If you don't know it, because be nice and admit it rather than giving a false hypothesis! 3) This place always tries to upsell things you don't need. We ended up removing at least $150 of items we don't need 4) They kept us waiting for more than 30mins in the room without giving us any updates; 5) I kept hearing dogs crying & barking at the back, I wish I could see what's going on at the treatment place or my dog can tell me what happened!

I took my cat in to get the booster shot and told them beforehand that my cat vomited in the morning. They refused to give the cat the shot because of this but still charged me the visit fee. I mean you should at least let the owner know about this before I took in the cat right?? What is the point of examining the cat one more time if you know for sure that you are not giving the cat the shot? The hospital is a total scam anyway. They charged me 80 dollar for a fecal test when you can get it as low as 30-50 in other facility. Avoid VCA at all cost.

I'm a mobile groomer who had to rush my client, her and her dog here today because the poor little thing had passed away. Compassion isn't a big enough word to describe this place. Not only did they totally ease her mind that this was in no way her fault, but they let her sit in the room for hours just cradling her beloved friend. Never once did they rush her or act bothered by her needing time to say her goodbyes. I would recommend this place to anyone just based on the love and understanding they showed my client today. Thank you for everyone that helped us today, you know who you are.

The staff is very friendly and the offices are nice. I feel like it might be higher priced than other locations but I'm not sure.

I have questions for my dog, asked for a technician, they always say they will leave a message and call me back yet it takes around 2 days or sometimes they just don’t call you back at all

This place is amazing. Our little poodle mix that we adopted can be a little challenging to groom. They take wonderful care of him. We drive about 20 minutes to get here but it's worth it!

Really $$$. I don’t mind spending money for good vet care but compared to other practices in the area their prices are high. I brought my cat in for an exam and felt pressured by staff to get non-core vaccines for my cat that aren’t usually recommended for indoor cats. They also missed my cat’s diagnosis of FIP despite him having a fever and a swollen stomach. The vet and techs were nice though.

They are not bad but too pricy in comparison to other hospitals, they had to sedate my dog to be able to check him. I won’t go again

Very professional and clearly explains everything to you. A bit on the pricier end though.

So expensive and the doctor made me nervous talking about my dog by focusing on negative analysis, Don’t recommend it.

I called in to have a quote on getting my kitten her first round of shots and they said they need to get me set up on a payment plan for $90 a month and the average cost per shot is around $70. These prices are completely unheard of and for an indoor cat seems over the top. Found a sat clinic for under $100. Don't come here unless you are rich and don't care about money imo.

Very very bad experience from this hospital. They just care about money. Not pedestrians and not responsive. Just please stay away from here.

I took my dog Nico in for a major flea infestation. The vet gave me bravecto. This is the single worse adverse reaction I have ever witnessed in not only a dog but person as well. My dog started throwing up with diarrhea everyday since ingesting bravecto. I took him to ANOTHER VET and he was sure his symptoms were because of bravecto (whithout me suggesting or even being adamant of it). He prescribed a med to calm his stomachache which helped tremendously, but everytime the dose runs out he will have diarrhea and start vomitting 2-3 days after his last dose. I read things online (disclaimer, Im no expert) and everything is exactly has other people have experienced. My dog has mild symptoms compared to what other people and their dogs experienced but still very very similar. DO NOT give your dog bravecto (especially the 3 month dose). I cant recommend this vet to anyone considering that the doctors there would recommend something such as bravecto for their dogs. There is also a lot of things online stating that there is NO scientific data to suggest that bravecto is causing intense adverse reactions in dogs but it just doesnt make sense to me considering that most human owned dogs can and only will go to the vet if their HUMAN decides too. That alone should indicate that the statistics arent accurate. And of course they must take the fact that most people wont report or take their pet to the vet into consideration but how can you accurately tell how many people "DON'T" report something or a proper diagnosis isnt achieved when medical expensives and autopsies are out of most peoples budget. Ive accpeted that my dog is very sick and the NEW vets recommendation is X-rays to rule out any other possible reason for illness, I just hope that once the bravecto leaves his system there isn't any lasting damage.

We have been bringing our dogs & cat here for the last 25 years. Dr Cole has retired. My favorite doctor is Dr. Kristie Fujita. They take good care of the animals. We have also boarded the animals with them if we are out of town. We order our prescription dog food through them via Vetsource.

I've taken my cat to several local vet clinics in Irvine and had not found one I was impressed with or confident in. VCA Irvine Uni Park was a great experience and I was so pleased with the professionalism and care we received. Dr. Rugierri was extremely knowledgable and thorough in her exam and explanation. She spent lots of time answering my questions and I am grateful for the guidance provided. The reception staff is also very friendly and the check-in/check-out process smooth. We have certainly found our new vet clinic and will be referring to friends!

I have been going to this veterinarian office for over 20 years with my various dogs. After obtaining my dogs, Irvine Vet was the first place I went to have the dog checked over to see if there is anything wrong with them. I believe this is the best clinic to take any pet to; however, when Dr. Cole was there, he would examine my dogs while I was in the room. If anything needed to be done, i.e., shots, blood draws, etc., then he would take the dogs out of the room. When I went there for their annual checkup, I requested Dr. Kay. She introduced herself to me and asked me a few questions about my dogs, then took them out of the room to get their shots and blood draws. I would like a little more time spent checking on the animals in the same room as I am in. They both needed their nails cut and even though I didn't mention it, Dr. Cole, during his examination, would notice if they were too long and have them cut back.

This place is super overpriced and not accommodating at all. I brought my dog to a different clinic and spent less than a quarter for better service. Terrible experience.

Dr. Cole has been our Vet since 2002, he took care of Bayou, La'Bayou and now our puppy, La'Bayou The Miracle. We adore him, he is wonderful and caring and doesn't suggest costly procedures unless they are absolutely necessary. He also …

We brought our newly adopted cat here for her free exam which was offered by the OC Animal Shelter. First, I tried my usual vet but they told me they didn't belong to the SCVA. So I contacted Irvine Vet Services which are closer to me. Well, after the excellent service we received, we decided to make Irvine Vet Services our new vet not only for our adopted cat, but also for our Shiba. This vet service is the best we have come across in a long time and I'm really happy that we came. Not only is the service great but they are open seven days a week!
