We changed to Quail Animal Hospital about 3 years ago and I wish we had been there sooner. Our dog (Lana) was older and we had to put her down yesterday. Dr. Shumka and Dr. Morgan are both excellent and a compassionate people. I strongly recommend if you need a vet or are unhappy with you current vet you try this place. I doubt you will be disappointed with the care you get from these people.

Hands down my favorite vet, everyone here is always so kind to the people and their pets, they take time to ask questions to make sure they know exactly how help and gauge whatever situation your pet may be in, they provide alternative options for your financial situation and they have never done or pushed any unnecessary testing to limit stress on your pet and your wallet. Highly recommend!

Great service, staff and doctor! They do get booked so you need an appointment well in advance. I love how well they respond via email and I get a reply within 24hr. They missed one of my puppy's vaccinations last time I was there but they gave me a discount on it to go back and get it done. They are all very nice and friendly! I hate going to a vet where they ignore you and act like you are a bother. Even though they are very busy all the staff is super friendly and helpful!

Dr. Morgan and all his staff are professional, caring, and thorough in their care of my cats. I like the follow up call after every visit to check how my cat is doing.

We had a very bad experience at another local animal hospital and I’m so glad we transferred to Quail Animal Hospital. The staff here are very nice and organized. We brought our kitten to get a consultation with Dr. Ross and she is super warm and welcoming. She answered all my questions and concerns. Our kitten got spayed yesterday and Curtis walked us through pre/post op instructions. We knew she was in good hands. You can tell they really care about your pets as their own. I have nothing but great things to say about Quail Animal Hospital. We visit frequently due to a chronic condition with our dog so we have had many interactions with the team and they’ve been great every time. One of the veterinarians, Mike Morgan, has been especially kind and helpful in caring for our dog. Definitely recommend!

The people at this facility truly care about your animal as a member of the family. They went above and beyond making the "going home" event for my dog one to remember during and after his sleep date.

Dr. Shumka is the best! I moved away and still drive further to have her see my pet. She takes time to explain everything to you, answers questions, and really does what is best for your pet by looking for the cause of symptoms rather than just treating them.

Dr. Kris Ross is an amazing Vet. She took absolutely perfect care of our Hopkins and has provided after surgery follow up and check - ins. She went above and beyond for us and our little pup! Thank you Kris!

I have been coming here for years and I’ve always adored this place and the staff. But lately I have to say things have changed drastically. I understand that they are busy and every time we go there they apologize because they say they are slammed. I understand emergencies but maybe don’t take new patients. The care is not the same I feel like my dog has not had the same attention that he used to get. They’re still not letting people in because of Covid. Which is understandable but one time I had to call three times just to get a question answered about my dogs medication. I called at 8am at 1230 and finally at 5pm and was put on hold for 10 mins to finally be able to speak to the dr. Unfortunately I’ve had to bring my dog in a few times within the last couple of months and I don’t feel the car is the same. I’m hoping when they open up again by letting us inside maybe things will calm down but if not we may have to look someplace else and I would really hate to do that because my dog is familiar with the staff and I really love the doctors and the staff. But I don’t feel we are getting the same care. I brought my dog in this week for some thing and I asked them to clip his nails and when I got home I realized I completely missed one of them. I’m not gonna bring him back in for one now because it’s stressful bringing him in but honestly the place has changed and I’m hoping it’ll get back to normal.

I primarily worked with Dr.Morgan but also a bit with Dr.Ross. TLDR - One of the best vets I've worked with. Will continue to bring my dog to go see them. I took my dog to see them for a dental surgery, and follow up care, as well as some emergency procedures. Dr.Morgan was my primary contact, while Dr.Ross was present for some emergency care. I really can't say enough about Dr.Morgan and his professionalism. He took an inordinate amount of time to talk to me through the options for my dog's dental surgery, when realistically - likely low risk, he still took the time to make me feel informed about my decision. He did not sugar coat things for me, or brush off my feelings despite having years of experience, but addressed them head on. While some things he said were difficult to hear, and potentially could have lost him money, he gave me the most complete picture of any other vet that I've gone to. I have also spent a bunch of time asking him questions, and giving updates through e-mail, and Dr.Morgan responded to each of these in a timely manner. The options that Dr.Morgan, Dr.Ross and the entire staff gave me were always laid out clearly in front of me, and I did not feel like I was pushed to go one way or another. I would come to Quail 100/100 times if given the choices again and they will continue being my vet of choice (despite having many other vets in my immediate vicinity)

Dr. Morgan is extremely easy to work with. He discusses your pet's care with you and together comes up with a plan based upon your goals. Even in the time of coronavirus, while many vets call you discuss their findings, Dr. Morgan comes out (masked) to talk to you in person. The medical quality is excellent and the value is the best I've found. Our 9 year-old dog recently needed cancer surgery and estimates from a variety of Orange County vets ranged from $1,050-1,350. Quail Animal was able to do it for $850 without compromising quality. I have personally recommended Dr. Morgan to quite a few pet owners. I know if they use his services they will be pleased.

11/10 would recommend. The staff are all so kind, caring and compassionate - as well as attentive and well organized. Even though the office waiting room is closed to dog owners due to COVID, Dr. Wang came out to the patio area and sat with us to discuss our puppy's health record, plan, what to expect and answer our questions before bringing him in for the full exam and shots. I trust this team and plan to continue coming here with my pets.

I was referred by a co-worker for our 9 week old puppy, and it was the best experience with a veterinarian by far. They’re very busy but efficient, be very punctual and you’ll be in seen quickly. Prices are much better than other vets in the area. We actually get follow up calls after our appointments. Great service.

Quail Hill Veterinary Hospital is easily one of the best veterinarians I've ever worked with. I've had dogs over 20 years and know it is rare to find vets like this. The staff here are excellent. The vet technicians and the front office staff are friendly, quick, and technologically-advanced. Doctor Morgan is truly passionate about what he does. He is caring, intuitive, very reasonably priced, and highly knowledgeable. There is no upselling whatsoever in this practice. I was referred to Quail Hill by a friend. I had a pet that was diagnosed with cancer and she didn’t have much time. My friend had to put her pet down earlier this year and told me about the experience she had with the staff and doctors. I wasn’t “keen” on the vet that diagnosed my pet so decided to write and email to the vets at Quail Hill. They introduced me to Dr. Wang who was compassionate, empathetic and sincere during the experience. When I said good bye, as hard as it was, THEY made it a little easier. I’d recommend them with 10 stars if I could as long as I can save a place in line when I get my next pet. Thank you Quail Hill AH for all that you did for us!

We recently moved to Irvine and after trying a few places heard of Quail Animal Hospital and very happy that we did. Our puppy has been sprayed and she gets visits here and she loves the staff and we are very pleased as well

We are grateful for the quality and care that Dr. Wang and Dr. Morgan gave to our fur baby, Olive, for the last several years of her life after we moved to Irvine. It's hard to find a vet that can be trusted. We have had several bad experiences at other vets in the past. But we have nothing but good things to say about the entire staff at Quail Animal Hospital. We were ready to find another vet after our first visit with Dr. Morgan. It was a hasty, unprepared appointment after we had emailed all the records well in advance...with long wait times. His demeanor did not reflect compassion and did not get into pertinent details. Later on a phone conversation about the follow up testing did not improve the situation as he was condescending. I'm in healthcare myself and that definitely does not fly in my field. But we changed our mind after an emergency visit with Dr. Shumka. She is very kind and took the time the next day, on her day off, to call and review the lab results and the diagnoses with us. She then called another time to review other lab results in detail as well. Overall prices are higher in this office but we will most likely go back because of Dr. Shumka.
