I was planning to bring my dog here for daycare/boarding as I am moving from philadelphia to orange county. receptionist put me on hold twice without greeting me and then proceeded to hang up. I have also sent an online enquiry (4 days ago now) and they still have no replied to me. Purely based off complete lack of communication and poor customer service I don't feel comfortable bringing my golden retriever here. 1/5 stars for me

My once healthy fur baby came home with kennel cough. They lost his belongings and didn’t feed him the proper amount of food that we asked. And their boarding fee increased. Not worth it.

My name is Sabrina a groomer of 4 years. I worked as a groomer here for almost a year doing my best work. The boss lets me go over 1 bad customer. One day, Yessenia Salinas brings her 2 PUPPIES to be groomed. In the beginning I explained they are puppies I will do my best to work with them. I struggled but was able to do their haircuts. I thought they looked great so did my coworkers. When she picked up she was not happy. I explained to her the cut she asked me for but she was not having it. Then she spoke to my manager for 20 min. The next day my boss talked with her, she lied and said they were show dogs and that I yelled at her. When my boss told me I was crying and upset because I love what I do and was shocked she exaggerated so much. So he fired me for "not being able to take criticism." Which I find so funny because Ive had clients tell me to my face I botched the cut, heads to round, or not round enough. That is contrustive criticism that I took with no problem. A lying customer who got a refund on 2 grooms, I worked so hard on, for no good reason is not criticism. So for my loyal clients who requested SABRINA, I will miss you so much or hopefully you find me with Mobile grooming!

Very disappointed to see my baby come home with such a big scab and swelling on his left-back. He was back home very exhausted and dehydrated, which is understandable for boarding 6 days and grooming before back home around 7. BUT definitely NOT OK to come home like this! I immediately called PSP after I found out, and asked them if there is anything I need to know during the boarding and the grooming. I hold the phone for 5 minutes, then they said somebody will call me back in a second. I have never received a call from PSP so far. All I want to know is what happened..

Love Paw sweet paw, kind and attentive. Always high quality grooming and boarding has been exceptional for my frenchie Orcus. Knowing they take the time to evaluate and ensure a safe and caring environment eases the stress of leaving him there. Couldn’t even consider using anybody else.

I'm a Registered Nurse working with Covid19 patients as well as others. Scheduled my pet over 2 weeks ahead of time to be groomed. Just leaving working over a 12hr shift and called ahead of time to let them know I'll be 8 minutes late and they was told I couldn't bring my pooch. So disappointed in customer care and consideration. Not good professional treatment at all.

My sweet Jax got an amazing groom!!! Everything about our experience at Paw Sweet Paw was fantastic: ~ When we arrived Jax was terrified & shaking, but the groomer was sweet & calming. When I picked him up, Jax was grinning ear to ear! I have no doubt he received lots of love while he was at Paw Sweet Paw. ~ Before I left him, the groomer took time to chat with me about Jax's breed (Pomeranian mix) & what steps she would be taking to groom him & why; for example, Jax must not be shaved so as not to ruin his undercoat. She assured me that he'd receive a bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, thorough deshedding, sanitary trimming, etc. ~ When I left Jax, I received an accurate pick-up time, plus a reminder message when he was done! ~ Jax is so handsome now!! He is softer than ever & smells so clean! The groomer was even able to unknot his tail - it's fluffier than I've ever seen! Plus Jax received a cute plaid bandana, & the groomer updated me on his behavior during his appointment. I am so excited to take Jax back to Paw Sweet Paw! I have the utmost confidence in their groomers' expertise & don't need to worry that Jax will receive tons of love.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My second experience was my biggest nightmare handing my dog over to a boarding service. They didn't feed my dog the entire time she was there (3.5 days), when she came home she was choking on water so it was clear she was severely dehydrated. We had to check in at the vet and thankfully she did not need anything serious done to her. I know they didn't feed her because the bag of food that they were supposed to use was full when I got home and I measure her food to make sure she has the right amount. They claimed they checked the chart and they fed her, I know this is not true. They also said my dog was really active and having fun and that is why she was thirsty. My dog is really shy, she sits down usually by herself and rarely plays with others. We have taken her on many hikes for hours and to the dog park for hours as well and she never choked on water before. Also when I was away I never noticed my dog on the camera so when I inquired they said my dog was shy so they had her off the camera and upstairs and said she never ran around, so that's another reason I know this is a lie. My first visit was great and I had no issues so I don't know if this was a careless employee or what happened but they neglected my dog which is abuse. They gave me a full refund but what I wanted was trust, now I am scared to leave my dog anywhere, I read the reviews and thought they seemed amazing, I have never been let down more. If the person who was supposed to be watching my dog read this, how dare you, you had one job and you failed, if I left my dog any longer she would be dead! To the manager, I can not believe you would lie to me, I wanted honesty, I even said I understand mistakes happen I just need to know so I can see what I need to do with my dog, but you kept saying that my dog was running around and that is why she had extreme exhaustion. I tell everyone I know, the vets I go to and everyone at the dog park to avoid this place, I hope you guys shut down, I can't believe I ever trusted you!

From the moment I called to the moment I picked up my happy Pup!! An amazing experience! They were very responsive to my call and very helpful to a first time customer. My fiancé and I have heard good things about Paw Sweet Paw and that is exactly what we experienced! Wonderful service, we got to meet our Groomer, Victoria, and she was very nice and explained the services and ask us what we looked for in our Puppy’s cut. He came out so wonderful and it couldn’t have been done better! We love this place and how well our Puppy looks. Well worth every penny and will be coming back every time! Thank you Paw Sweet Paw service team!

This daycare/pet hotel is amazing. The staff are all friendly and happy and obviously love the dogs. They take great care of our puppy and she loves going there. Both for day care and for overnight. They send you a report card every day your puppy is there, with pictures and descriptions of the day. It’s pretty adorable, and gives you lots of great pictures. And they have numerous cameras so you can watch throughout the day. This place is awesome. Awesome management, awesome staff, awesome play areas for the dogs and for the dogs to sleep over night in.

I have been bringing my dog here for grooming for a little over a year now and am very pleased with Paw Sweet Paw's grooming services. I've used a couple of the groomers, but Jessica is by far my favorite groomer. My dog really likes her and enjoys getting groomed now! I had an odd experience with one of the other groomers so I won't use anyone else now, so I would just ask for Jessica. I live far away, but will make the drive just because I love it so much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Update: Our dog did not make it and had to be put down due to severe pneumonia. Our dog is dead because of this places neglect. It was too late by the time we picked her up for proper antibiotic treatment. We got refunded but the owner still never quarantined or shut down to properly clean. Our dog just spent 9 days here while we were away for the holidays. Shes been here 2-3 times before for day care and we had some red flags but everywhere else was booked so we were forced to keep her here for this stay. We picked her up from our most recent trip and she lost over 5-10lbs, caught bacterial pneumonia and may or may not survive since the vet said her lung Xray and condition seem to have incubated for days without us knowing in time from the staff to get her proper treatment. She apparently was not eating well and was sick and no one let us know when we picked her up. Her condition worsened and we took her to the emergency room immediately which cost us $1200 after paying almost $500 for boarding. We dropped her off completely healthy with records and xrays to prove she picked it up at this facility (these checks were done the morning before drop off as part of an unrelated preventive check up for another issue that turned out to be benign and all tests and imaging show we dropped her off in good health that day. Video feed showed extreme over crowding on the back portion of her stay. Furthermore this facility is not sanitary, they only spot clean with a dirty mop and leave wet floors and the dogs were slipping in the video feed. I also saw staff members spray dogs in the face with water for no reason (meant to break up aggression in a humane manner) but it was being done excessively during her previous day care stays to her and other dogs that were just standing there wanting to be pet. The “turf” is a small pad in each play area not large enough to accomodate the qty of dogs. Furthermore we discovered our dog was afraid to use it to relieve herself so we had the staff take her to the training yard a few times a day for this trip. We asked for updates but never received any calls or emails and I had to call to check on her and was always told she was fine. Upon pick up for this latest trip as mentioned she was deathly ill, skinny, hair falling out, and turns out she contracted bacteria pneumonia from insufficient cleaning and over crowding. She also seemed to have not slept all week. The staff did not make us aware of anything and this is NOT a 24/7 monitored facility. The staff kennels the dogs at 7pm/8pm and doesnt come back to let them out to relieve themselves until 6am/7am! Thats 12 hours without any human contact or bathroom relief after eating and drinking which can lead to bladder infections and crystals/stones. I called to let the staff know about this super infectious outbreak and if they were going to shut down to clean to prevent other dogs from getting it. I never got a response after being told the owners would call me back. I also was brushed off when asking for a refund as our dog is deathly ill from poor sanitation and overcrowding/negligence on their end and may not make it due to her having the infection for so long before getting treatment. Incompetent staff, inadequate sanitation, almost cruel conditions without proper bathroom relief area and overcrowding, plus a highly negligent staff with owners not taking accountability. Do not let your dog come here! There are many larger facilities with actual K9 grass and 24/7 staff onsite to ensure your dogs health. The cleaning practices at other facilities are also a lot better after calling around looking for a new future location once our dog is healed (which if she makes it will be 2-3 months until shes allowed to play with other dogs again since her immune system needs to recover). This ended up being a $1700 situation between boarding a vet bills and our dog may not survive and I cant even get a refund or action plan from the owners to ensure the safety of other dogs by shutting down to deep clean and control this infectious outbreak.

Honestly I’ve really tried to give this place my best effort but I can no longer take my dog here. I use to take my dog here all the time but then I notice when I was bringing him home that he was full of energy. I was told that my dog was very energized around the other dog but never informed that he had aggression issues. Before they made the decision to take him out of the group placement and put him in two small groups a day. If they had time for it or proper staffing. That was my first issue with this place if I wanted my dog to be in a kennel all day long I would leave him at home and save the 40 dollars I was paying daily for months. Finally I was informed of the issue after I pointed out that my dog had way to much energy when I bring him home. He did have an issue with another dog and got aggressive but I’m not sure I believe it as my dog is never aggressive when I take him to the dog park. I stopped taking him for about five months he was the healthiest he has ever been. While I was taking him to the daycare daily he would get all kinds of infections parasites and kennel cough. The time I kept him home he was healthy for five months. I have taken him for the past few months every once in awhile due to repairs being done in my apartments. Every time I have taken him even if it is one day in a month. He has gotten sick. Cough, skin infection, and parasites. I can no longer do it there are sick dogs they allow here that get my dog sick. I have spent thousands of dollars at the vet due to this. Please make sure your dog is healthy and do not take him to daycare caring parasite or kennel cough. You’re making healthy dogs sick.

I was sent an email because my dog had been having diarrhea and then one bloody diarrhea (would've been nice to get a phone call) so I sent a friend to pick my dog up early. I still received a report card with photos for the day that she wasn't even there which shows that the report cards are useless and all the photos are probably taken the day they get there.

I usually don’t leave reviews but.. The first time I went I was happy with the service, besides the fact that they cut my dog and didn’t do anything after I told them about the situation but I decided to go back because I liked how they cut my dogs nails.. well I was scheduled for a few days and then they email me to cancel my appointment which I didn’t see since it was in my junk mail. Thankfully I called to ask about my appointment. The lady who answered the phone was very unhelpful and for a company who cancels the appointments over email not by phone and without offering account credit or to help me find another day, I’m very upset. This review is for their grooming.. I assume their daycare is better..

I used this place for the first time. After two hours they texted me to said my dog was ready.for pick up. when I got there, they left me standing for about 5mins while they went discussed the fact they had the wrong dog ready to go. I mean really - who does that except an incompetent business. A 40 min round trip and no apology.

I've been a client of yours since they opened. I used to think their service was good and professional. Until today, I brought my dog for a sweat bath. I picked up him after they were done like usual. At that time, I found that he could not keep his eyes open. At first, I thought he was just tired. But 3h later I realized it was more serious than I thought. Both of his eyes are swollen. And he can’t open his eyes at all. I opened his eyes and they were red and swollen. Right now, I am in the emergency hospital. I'm really disappointed in their service this time. I'm not one to be picky. I have used their boarding service for few times. After I taken him home and he had some bruises, but I thought that was normal, because sometimes dog fights are inevitable and stuffs can’t look at every dog every minute. However, this time, their mistake is unforgivable. I did not hear any response except one missed calls. They even do not want to call me again.

So I just read a few of the reviews and I am very upset! I’ve been taking my dog here for over a year for boarding (several times). I’ve never had a negative experience, but I did always wonder how much individual attention my dog gets. The report cards they send are pretty repetitive with general, positive comments. They never have any real comments about my dog when I pick him up. Everyday he spends there can’t be perfect! Anyways, I boarded my dog for the week of Christmas. I noticed he took a while to adjust back to being at home this time. He was sleeping a lot more than normal and not eating as much. He also started coughing some as well, but wasn’t happening constantly so didn’t think much of it (he does suffer from seasonal allergies, so figured that was it). I brought him in a few times for daycare after Christmas-most recently on Wed (a few days ago). By Thurs, my dog was lethargic, vomiting, coughing constantly and looked miserable. I have never seen him in this bad of shape - it really scared me! I took him to the emergency hospital, where he went through a battery of tests and even had to stay overnight in isolation for treatment (which by the way racked up over $2K in vet costs). Turns out he has pneumonia! I just saw another review complaining of the same thing while their dog was being boarded around the same time. I can’t believe PSP didn’t say anything...or notice the issues my pup MUST have been having while he was there all day on Wed. I was so worried when I got the diagnosis late last night that I called PSP to let them know first thing this morning when they opened...worried about other dogs that could be affected. The manager I spoke to seemed genuinely surprised to hear such a thing and said she’d check to see if there were any notes from his visit to daycare this week. Of course, I never heard anything back. She failed to mention that this was not the first reported case. I have been so worried about my dog! Even though he is through the worst of it I hope, he has a long recovery ahead of him! I am very disappointed in Paw Sweet Paw, a place that I have trusted to take care of my baby for so long!! I can no longer recommend this place.

The first groomer doesn’t listen to instructions, but the place was kind enough to offer a redo to clean up what they missed. Another groomer, Jesse, helped out and did a great job with the cut, handling my dog, and making sure we were happy with the result.

The best doggie daycare in Irvine. I have been taking my dog to the Paw most week-days for the last 2 years. I have taken her to most of the daycare places between Irvine and Long Beach and the Paw is number 1 for us.

I sent my dog for half-day day care at Paw Sweet Paw a couple days ago then my dog felt very sick after she got home. She had been coughing so hard (dry, honking coughs) and vomiting several times. Also, she became less energetic. After 1-2 days after daycare, she was sent to Emergency room immediately. My puppy was diagnosed with Tracheobronchitis or Kennel Cough. I have no idea why Paw Sweet Paw put my 4-month puppy in a super large group (more than 40 dogs together. I saw that from the live webcam). This is not what I asked for in the beginning. I had told them to put my dog in a smaller group and they promised me they won't leave her in a large group of dogs. However, I saw she's with more than 40 dogs at the yard. It turned out I spent more than $500 at the vet. I was very disappointed and frustrated by Paw Sweet Paw and it's a very disappointing and disastrous experience. I don't recommend you send your dogs especially puppies here

This place is amazing!! The facility itself is super clean and modern, yet has the perfect square footage to hold multiple play groups and boarding rooms for all the dogs! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable - whenever I am calling about my dog or dropping him off, the staff member always knows who he is and speaks so enthusiastically about him (all dog owners know what a GREAT feeling this is). The staff is also extremely flexible and has stayed past the closing time to allow me to pick up my dog when I was running late - this type of customer service is rare these days so it just speaks to the character of the employees that run the business and the level of customer service that they hold themselves too . The price is extremely reasonable and I would even say it’s on the lower end of the spectrum compared to other doggy daycare and boarding places that I have used, but I feel that the value you get from PSP is the highest out of all! Overall, I don’t have enough good things to say about this place, it is a must try for all dog owners in southern Orange County that need to board their dogs for a few days!
