This place is stupid they took so long to give vaccines. The lady said we could only pay card( only )there no sign that says card only I never heard of anyone not wanting to take cash . I would think you would close your register till the last client leaves. They gave us paperwork with the wrong date they almost forgot to fill out our vaccine card if we didn't remind them they gave us no receipt. They didn't explain anything not impressed at all. Those techs in the back need to learn customer service . Definitely not returning.

I needed an appointment within a few hours and Thrive made it happen. They took such good care of our cat and made us feel welcome.

Huntington Beach thrive/thrive staff is always awesome. Only problem with (any) thrive, is that you have to go through an awful call center to get in touch with a location.

Alright place. Was in right away but not that much communication. Says it’s affordable vet but really is very expensive. After my puppy shots I’ll be finding a new place.

I brought our little Taco in today for a follow-up, a vaccine and some anxiety issues. Jovon was great and friendly. He took really good care of my little buddy. He was thorough, understanding and genuinely tried to make my life easier! That's something you can't beat. Thank you guys!

At first I got good care here but when it comes down to it they are just a chain Veterinary Hospital charging up the butt for everything. The care is as high as they can give considering their client numbers and present state of Veterinary medicine and it's oversaturation with pet owners during covid 19. People who work there do what they can, it's just lost its personal doctor patient feeling I suppose. And no matter what if my dog is fine you're going to try to sell me something that's the corporate part I imagine

Thrive has been great on two occasions treating my dog for different issues. They were fast and professional and a great value compared to other facilities. They have been able to serve me much faster than other options. I will definitely visit them again.

I will not return to HB Thrive in HB. Dr. Lecesme would not agree to speak to me, or call me when she had time to discuss my dog's need for a refill for Appoquel. The lack of consideration for my dog.'s suffering the manner in which the tech told me i could not get a refill and could not speak with vet is unacceptable. My dog needs a refill of Appoquel for itchy skin. He is scratching himself raw and is very uncomfortable. He has been on this medication for over a year. The tech told me i could not get refill without the vet seeing him first. There are no appointments until Wednesday, 2 days from now. I cannot take him this week because of work problems. I asked if i could speak to the vet, or get a call back to discuss my dog's medication (been on it for a year). I wanted to tell Dr. Lecsme if i could get a few pills I would schedule a check up next week. The Tech told me the Dr. would not speak to me and would not call me back. I have never used a vet that was not willing to speak to me about my pet's needs. My beautiful Lab is scratching himself raw. I cannot trust a vet or tech that is unwilling even to discuss a pet's health because of a policy that a vet can modify. Cheaper maybe, but how is my dog being treated behind the closed doors if they are unwilling to speak to me about my pet? I am done with Thrive HB and Dr. Lecesme!

I took my 24 year old cat there because he wasn't feeling well. He was diagnosed, treated and ready to pick up in less than two hours. The staff there is very kind and helpful. They were so thorough and went over every option and cost. THRIVE is a great place to take your pet(s) for affordable quality veterinary services.

This review is not necessarily about the vet care, but instead the sales practices around said care. I took my pups yesterday to have their routine shots and shots they were due for. Once sitting in the room with some type of physicians assist, she attempted to have me sign multiple “estimates” without displaying which each estimate included. I am a sales person by trade, an ethical one, and instantly realized what they she was trying to do. For the first dog, I had to go through the estimate by line item and remove things that were not necessary. Same thing for the second dog. Even after requesting the puppy package to be removed, the PA/sales rep quickly shifted their iPad screen and tried to have me sign with said package still intact. I requested a second time to have the puppy package removed, at that time which they did. The issue is that the PA’s “recommend” several things for your pet which are not necessary. Instead of being your consultant for your animal and telling you what your pet needs, the staff is simply pitching you 75% of the time on useless services. Anyone who used this vet needs to review their bill and request a refund/or sue for unnecessary charges services.

This is most definitely affordable as well as easy to navigate! The app makes things so quick and easy. Scheduling appointments, contacting your vet etc! I absolutely love it

It's "affordable" they looked at my cat ,told me she was dirty and charged me $83. She needed a shot and it was way more expensive then anywhere else. Don't bother with these locations.

I called to tell the vet that my small dog ate a grape and that I needed them to induce vomiting. I was told that they couldn't handle that. I was then told to take him to emergency. The emergency vet after I arrived asked me to call poison control and would not help until I did. Poison control was backed up and said it Could take an hour or more before they called me back. I called the emergency vet again and asked to speak with a vet and they put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I called Thrive back and told them the situation and they said they would have someone call me when they got back from lunch. When I called back 15 minutes after they were supposed to call me they again said sorry we don't handle grape poisonings or inducing vomiting. Now at this point- at least according to the internet as no professional has been willing to help me, it is too late to induce vomiting. I am now waiting for the next few days waiting to see if this will kill or seriously injury my dog. My question is why can't a vet office that can perform surgery not do a simple procedure such as inducing vomiting. At the very least be willing to talk to the owner and advise them of the best course of action. Especially as I am a current customer and pay extra for thrive + to have my examinations covered. Usually if a dog needs to have vomiting induced it is a very time sensitive matter and instead of being able to take him to a vet 5 minutes away having to take them much further risks the outcome even when the emergency vet (VCA) is willing to help.

I initially liked this place. Most of the staff, and the doctor we had, were very nice and helpful. The past 3 times I've come in, the receptionist with the long brown hair with blue streaks, has been very rude. She acts snobby and gives a lot of attitude. I've only been here a handful of times for a couple issues, but I'm really thinking of not continuing to use this vet because of this receptionist. She always acts very put out that she has to do something.

My daughter made An appointment to have her cat sedated, shaved and her teeth cleaned while she at the clinic for another visit. She called when she arrived and was told she has no appointment! I work in the store and have heard complaints from my customers also. Today the call center even told my daughter that the vets do no type of grooming! Your people need serious training or to be fired for not doing their jobs. The reputation of the vet staff and Petco is being damaged by appointments not being put in the computer or just deleted. The call center made another appointment for her while she was on the phone. When she walked into the clinic it was nowhere in the system!! Beyond ridiculous!

I thought they were on the up and up but I was so very wrong. Now, after how much money (NEVER got signed up for the monthly savings plan because their machine kept refusing the same card that was used to make the outrageous payment I had …

They are so wonderful with Lance. He is big Alaskan Malamute and very sweet and lovable, but hates going to the doctor, but they are so patient with him and they give him great care.
