We have had nothing but good experiences at Surf City Dog Spaw. My 2 dogs go in looking scruffy and come out looking quite dashing. The staff is friendly and professional, and my dogs even like going for a spa day.

This place was TERRIBLE I have a Cavalier King Charles and she WAS super fluffy until I took her home today. When I got there U saw her there looking like a literal RAT. Her ears were cut all tge way down to her skin. Her legs were as skinny as a twig and you could see her bare skin on her belly and stomach. When I got home I had noticed that they ALSO cut some of her ear so it kept bleeding.

I "was" a good customer, probably one of their first having my dog groomed here many times. Then my dog died and I got another one same breed a year later. When I tried to make an appointment I was told sorry we can't take you anymore, your breed of dog requires too much brushing so will be a lot more in price. We also have too much business so we don't think it is worthwhile to groom that breed anymore. Really? What business turns down business? I guess when things are good you can act like that but that's not good business or karma.

The fact that someone would write that previous comment has made me cry. The dog spaw family is the best there is! They have been grooming my Honey (also Julie’s Guapo and Moon as well as Julie’s past 3 babies) since we brought her home. They have loved and cared for her and our family since our very first visit. They would NEVER hurt or injure a member of the dog spaw family. That is how they think of every member of our furry family that visits the spa. They are kind, considerate, witty and simply lovely. Every time we (Honey, my kids and I) leave we have a huge smile and a warm fuzzy feeling. We look forward to our weekly visits to the Spaw. I am 100% in my trust with My baby’s health, care and well being each and every week. WE LOVE YOU SURF CITY DIG SPAW!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!???? We love you all! Stella and Julie
