We went in for a second opinion visit after getting a very abrupt diagnosis from another vet. I was being a very emotional dog mom and the staff was just so gracious, took time explaining everything, and took time to make sure my nervous pup was comfortable. Meds are getting expensive (unavoidable), but they do their best to keep me in the loop about updates from the manufacturers.

literally almost killed my dog. we were on a trip to Minnesota when a neighbor called and told us that our dog had crossed beach boulevard and almost got hit by a car several times. we weren’t even called and informed that our dog had ran away. absolutely pathetic.

Horrible service. Not only did my cat get out while I was away, they did not notify me at all until I came back to pick her up. I am horrified at what could have happened to my pet while I was out. Unreliable service. Please please please do NOT go here!!!

I left my dog here before I left on my business trip. This hospital let my dog loose without contacting me or my house, she was almost hit by 3 cars and ran down beach boulevard. I had to wait to get a call by a neighbor to know what happened. The hospital obviously did not care for my dog and I highly recommend NOT boarding at this hospital.

Very disappointed. Needed to board my dog for a special occasion over the weekend. I brought all my dogs things as I was told I could. First off they didn't even let me say goodbye. But then when picking my dog up on Monday they said the new bed I had just purchased was ate up ???? My dog doesn't do that. When I asked to see it they said they threw it away. I then asked if I could see it anyway, hoping I could salvage it. They said they could not find it. It was a huge bed! Not only are they overpriced. But I feel I should be compensated for the bed. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever be using them again!

Cannot say enough good about the staff and doctors at this place… Went well beyond the 2nd mile in helping me when I was sitting my daughters dog during her vacation. Compassionate, thorough, and considerate in every phase from first phone call through treatment & surgery. So grateful for their prompt and friendly care.

I LOOOOOVE this Vet clinic!! The entire staff is so kind and you can tell they really love the animals! The Dr is soooo good and Kind to my beloved kitty ADD!! I will ONLY take my animals here!!!!????

Dr. Gergis and his son are wonderful, caring vets. The staff is lovely, well informed and helpful.

My dog has extreme anxiety (rescue) 9 years old sweet as heaven. Brought her for an exam - required for flea meds. Told them she would become highly stressed if separated from me. They took her to a back room. No accommodations made or considered. Interest was not on patient. her temperature rose to 105 doctor said could not be stress. ALL STUDIES SHOWS THIS NOT TRUE they put her on IV did full blood panel. Xrays. Antibiotics Cost me 1600.00 for 3 months of flea meds because they did not consider or listen. Horrible. Nothing wrong with her. She was fine as soon as they let her with me. Today I went back for a refill on Flea meds. I cannot have them unless I bring her back for a new exam where they will take her away repeat. Kill the dog or treat her fleas? Horrible

They are very friendly and caring. Dr. Sheppard is thorough and Gayle and the other ladies are very sweet.

Very helpful my cat is 14 years, became very sick and had passed away at home during the holidays around New Years ,January 1st, 2020.???????? I don't know what to do with him!???? I called many places, and chose Huntington Beach veterinary hospital! They were kind , understanding and helpful! They told me that I can bring him there and what options/prices were available to take care of his remains! It's never easy when you lose a family pet! Being a pet lover and owner all of my life, having gone through many different Veterinary places, I have felt like there are a lot of veterinary offices that seem to only like animals and not people!???????? I highly recommend Huntington Beach veterinary hospital!! They are nice to pets and people too!!????☝️???????????? Sorry this review was/is for AAA Animal hospital!!

I've been taking my dogs and cats to HB Vet for over 20 years. I wouldn't take my dog, Jack anywhere else. ❤

I took my dog here in June he was limping they took xrays and said he has arthritis in his knee and to get over the counter meds and he’ll be fine. 3 weeks later same thing they give him another drug and also say he needs to loose weight to exercise him more. Still nothing. I try another vet he has A TORN ACL!!! My dog was seen by 2 different doctors here both saying he needs to loose weight it’s just arthritis to exercise him more spent over $700 that had nothing to do for his ACL tear. I highly don’t recommend this place. So disappointed.

I simply love them. You can’t beat the decades & decades of experience between the 2 Vets here. They’ve seen it all & know what to do in any situation you might be having with your pet. And they are extremely caring, which means a lot!!

This is My all time favorite vet office. They are always kind and caring. I always feel safe with there diagnosis!

One word: WOW. The vet and the staff here are just amazing. I cannot thank them enough for taking on a new client last minute on a holiday. I called roughly 10 vets and no one would take my kitty unless she was dying. I called and they made an appointment that day. Thank you so much and my kitty thanks you too!

Place was good. Fast and helped my dog. For some reason they could not trim his nails. Never had an issue before at any other place. They said they need to knock him out to do it.. that one reason is why I wont be back. Not interested in making two different appointments at two different places. They did fix my dog and that was great.

From when I picked up my pup Mila throughout her first year, this Veterinarian Hospital has been super helpful from simple questions to health issues. Always recommending them to locals!

I was very disappointed to go and see the waiting room with 6 people 2 without masks and the receptionist without a mask. I’ve been going here for 4 years and am very concerned that they are not taking this pandemic seriously.

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to Huntington Beach Veterinary Hospital for about 19 years now and would never think about going anywhere else. Our dogs are our children so excellent care is crucial to us. Dr. G is amazing. He is caring, knowledgeable and thorough and fair, and will never put his patients or clients through any unnecessary trauma or expense. We love he and his staff and will never go anywhere else.

Highly recommend this vet office. The office staff was pleasant & helpful with both the tech and veterinarian being extremely caring & gentle. Thank you from my cat Dexter. He and I will definately be back.

Very great experience! The nurses and front desk is so kind! I got a new puppy and wanted to make sure it was healthy, and they asked so many questions and were very personal! Doctor Shepard! Knows what he’s talking about! Highly recommend!!!

Found a growth on my dogs neck, I googled local vets and decided on the Huntington beach vet. I was able to make an appo8ntment for the next day. Easy to find, lots of parking, easy wheelchair access. Helpful and pleasant staff, clean facilities, somewhat over priced, $980.00 for simple growth removal but I would pay any price when it comes to the dog. Staff very good with calming down excited animals. I would return to this facility if needed. Let me update this post, I brought my dog in for growth removal and all the vet did was clean the dogs teeth, now I was in with my dog the day before and the removal was scheduled for the next day, my dog spent 11 hours at the vet to have her teeth cleaned, vet was very rude telling us we didn't tell reception we wanted growth removal, well that was the whole purpose of the visit. We didn't pay for teeth cleaning or growth removal and ended up taking the dog to garden Grove animal hospital where they told us the growth was a cyst and they popped it drained it and we were out the door for $90.00 in half an hour. A big deal difference from the almost $1000.00 HB animal hospital wanted.
