Dr. Smith took an appointment for us on Sunday to put to sleep our loving little dog Axel. She and her nurse Mr. Davis were so kind and let us say our goodbyes as a family. It was so hard to let him go but the kindness and patience of them made it so much easier. Thank you again so much and would recommend you highly.

Our 16 year old cat was in poor health and we knew he couldn’t go on living in the condition he was in. Going to the vet was a major stressor for him and I was determined to have him last moments be at home where he was comfortable. Because we are in Gilroy, we had very limited options for at home euthanasia. Many said that they served the South Bay but would not come to Gilroy. We felt incredibly blessed when Eric from Paws and Claws said that they not only could come to Gilroy but could also come that evening. He walked me through the entire process over the telephone and even called me before he and Dr. Smith left to head to our house. They were very compassionate and understanding when our kitty peed and made suggestions to help us calm him down. Dr. Smith explained what she was doing every step of the way and let us share our memories of our fur baby with her as he passed. She answered any questions we had and gave us privacy whenever we needed it. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Paws and Claws and will be telling everyone we know with pets in the area about their caring and compassionate service. Thank you Eric and Dr. Smith!

Dr. Smith and Eric were amazing. When we had to put our 14yo lab down, they fit us in, were compassionate, and not only handled our dogs situation with the upmost care, but helped re-assure us of our tough decision. They gave us time and walked us through each step. It meant the world to my family.

These people are wonderful! Dr. Kirsten has taken such great care of my kitty. My cat did not want to come home with me after his visit with Paws and Claws. They explain step by step instructions on how I can best care for my fur baby and are very thorough with his exams. Taking my animals anywhere else is not ever an option!

I have no words for how amazing these people are. My cat was ready to cross the rainbow bridge, and they made her a priority. They were able to see her before she was suffering or in terrible pain, and I am forever grateful for them. Paws and Claws didn't know my cat, but they had so much compassion for her. They made her passing truly a beautiful experience. I am so thankful that the last memories I have of her are as wonderful as they could have been. These are Good People, and they care about animals with all their heart. Thank you for making her passing something I will remember forever in a positive way.

Dr. Smith and her husband, Eric are two of the nicest people. They are caring, compassionate, competent. My 13 yr old giant breed dog was ready to cross the rainbow bridge and I wanted to have him euthanized at home where he was comfortable. Due to covid I could not find any vets willing to make a house call even after close to 50 calls. I spoke with Eric and even though they don't normally come to my area, he arranged a time to come. They were both very comforting to me and very respectful to my pet. They even made arrangements for cremation and hand delivered the ashes in a beautiful wooden box a week or so later. I highly recommend them and would give them 10 stars if I could. I only wish they practiced in my area all the time. Thank you again and I really appreciate all your kindness. Gayle

Very calm, caring doctor - does very well at explaining everything and insuring you are on the same page with care. Will gladly pay a little more to have the convenience of mobile care, knowing my pet is getting excellent care.

On Monday April 27th, 2020 my dog had to be put down. This was a dog that had been with me and my family for over 13 years. The doctors and assistants with this company are beyond words . The compassion that they had first off for my dog and myself was unbelievable. What we are all going through in the world right now makes everything harder but after explaining my dogs condition they had no problem helping to do what needed to be done. The first thing I want to do when our pandemic is over is give them both a great big hug. I would recommend these people to anyone for any of there services that they provide . From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU . Sincerely Karen Cosentino

We were very thankful to discover Dr. Kirsten Smith and her mobile clinic last month when it was time to say goodbye to our special girl, Samantha. Making the decision that it is time for your baby to cross the rainbow bridge is never easy and once you make that decision you don't want to have to wait for an appointment. Dr. Smith was able to come to our ranch within a couple of hours. Samantha was relaxed in the shade of our back lawn and with Dr. Smith's wonderful care, she crossed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Smith gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and she and her associate were gentle and loving as they wrapped Samantha up and moved her to their van to take her for cremation. We highly recommend Dr. Smith and her mobile clinic and think it is a fantastic new resource for our community.
