I thought Balboa vet was a great place for my pet. I took my pet there for over 2 years only to find out every diagnosis was incorrect. I spent thousands because of this doctor. He gave unnecessary shots, unnecessary medications, unnecessary referrals. The office is clean, the staff is nice, but the vet just wants your money. Be wary. Always get a second opinion before choosing who your main vet will be.

If you call in a prescription refill ahead of time you will still have to wait an hour at the building to pick it up...every single time.

Dr. A. is an excellent very who really cares about my dogs.

Way too long of a wait just to get your dog seen. Not to mention it takes hours just to get your pet back.

The wait time is so long. Ppl are friendly and service is ok

I've taken my pups to Dr.A for years. Never had an issue. Not digging the wait outside during appointments but otherwise pups n owners happy

Very unprofessional, I made appointment for my dog for grooming at 9 am and they kept him in a cage for more than 6 hours, this is not grooming that usually takes like max 2 hours , this is like a torture . I called them and waited by the door for more than an hour before getting my dog after long 6 hours. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

I felt like this vet just wanted to add up the bill and added services despite knowing it’s not needed. After a week of medication for a semi swollen paw he called to follow up and after I said he is doing great he said ok let’s give him one more week of medication. I questioned him and he said ok if he is doing better then let’s not. My gut feeling from the beginning didn’t trust this vet and no matter how many times I said I can’t afford the x ray he seemed eager to get it done. No discounts and lots of medication and shots that were not needed

it was frustrating getting threw to the office. although, i do think they care about the pets. the Dr A spent alot of time on the phone when i was overwhelmed w/aftercare of my cats abscess surgery. it was very expensive though but he is running a business. i do want the best for my cats. i wish they had the long acting antibiotic shots available like Access has though. its a struggle to give oral meds

After being there for 11 years and thousands and thousands of dollars later they can't get my dog in for 4 weeks they can't see my cat for 3 weeks I called two or three times they keep on saying 3 weeks 4 weeks I just feel disrespected as far as them not considering that I've been a long-time customer of theirs they could at least squeeze me in but apparently that's not important it's all about the money don't take your pet's here it's corporate and it is not BBB certified vet veterinarian Gunderson told me one time when I was in there that how she doesn't understand how people can't afford to take care of their pets so when they bring them in and she tells them that that she has to put them to sleep she ends up making them better and take them home and that's a fact and that is the truth

Used to be a great office, no one cares about customer service including the doctor. Place is falling apart.

Dr. A and his staff are amazing! So kind and caring.

My experience has always been positive over the years.

Called to find out some information and was told by someone who had been there "for 3 years" that their policy allows the Doctor make their own pricing and so they cannot even provide a range.

Best place and good doctor for your precious pet I recommend this veterinary center.????????

I did not like their Customer service. Very disappointed. I like the doctor.

I arrived with my very sick 15 yr old dog. After careful and thorough consultation with Dr. A, we made the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize our beloved pet. Dr. A and his staff were very kind, respectful and understanding with us and they treated our loved one, Annie, with dignity and care. The clinic is very clean and organized with well-equipped treatment rooms. Thank you, Dr. A and staff, for your professionalism.

The staff and doctor takes great care of our bully Sugar. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They always have great recommendations and advice.

Dr A is a great vet. He really cares about your "babies". His staff are friendly and kind! Low cost vaccinations on Fridays and Saturdays. But it can get busy (walk ins only on Saturdays.)

This is a vet I've been going to for a long time for my two current dogs and my two previous dogs (RIP), and so far I have no complaints. It's a place I trust and the staff is nice and helpful.

Friendly stuff. I have only been there twice, and they don't force for your pet to have anything unnecessary.
