If you love your dog, don’t leave them at Elaine’s. I left my dog at Elaine’s for a week over thanksgiving. It is supposedly Fresno’s premier destination for dogs, so I thought it would be safe to leave him. But the staff at Elaine’s lied to me on multiple occasions. First, they told me my dog would get to play with the other dogs. Which I paid for him to do extra because he loves other dogs so much. That was a lie, he was in solitary confinement for two days until a staff member let it slip and I complained. He was temperament tested the next day and found to have no problems with other dogs and then allowed to play. If I hadn’t been calling to check on him, I never would have known because they were fine with me being misinformed. When I complained to Debbie, she admitted that wasn’t their policy and he should have been temperament tested his first day instead of being confined. Secondly, they lied to me about how much food my dog was eating. They told me he was eating 100% of his food, but then again, when I called to check on him, a staff member let slip that “somehow” I’d been misinformed and he was only eating about 40% of his food. I was then told it wasn’t a big deal, and not to be concerned, but if that’s the case, why did they bother lying about it. When I complained about this to Debbie, she again admitted that this was against their policy. All in all, I paid $500 to be lied to, my dog be mistreated, and at the end all I got from Elaine’s was a dismissive attitude and a “sorry you’re mad” even though they admitted their actions were against their own policies. Think twice before leaving your pet here. They have no problem lying to you about how they are treating your pet, and do not care at all about any valid concerns. If you love your pet, don’t bring them to Elaine’s.

We were really concerned that our big shepherd mix wouldn't settle well anywhere but elaines is now our must go-to boarding spot. We were out of town for 5 days, and while Lucy is a very low maintenance dog, we were concerned that she would be uncomfortable out of her routine. I give her long walks in the morning and at night, and she has learned to love the routine. Well, when we picked her up, she was as happy as could be. The get to know you time before boarding was essential. She walked right in and looked forward to her stay. The staff is very friendly and it seems like they genuinely care about the animals that stay there. We got a great report card when we picked her up, including the other dogs that she played with, and that she even played in the water, which she never does. Elaine's is on the price your side, but if you can swing the price, this is the best place to board your pet. We have tried others, with middling success. We are absolutely coming back here next time we go out of town.

We took our 2 pets there for a 2 week visit and they were taken care of so well that they were so calm when we arrived. And the report on them were so great.

Have always loved this place and maybe it is just because they are understaffed, but every time I call the recorded message says they are busy with other customers and leave a message. I have left two messages for the past two days and no call back. I have also called a number of times at different times of the day and on different days and get the same recorded message and didn't leave another message. I have never experienced this before. If they are short staffed they should say that.

We recently took our 6 month old labradoodle for a one night stay at Elaines. He seemed to be in good spirits when we picked him up. My only issue is that our dog had never had a flea since we brought him home in February and after his overnight stay we have noticed quite a few fleas and we are now on our second flea bath to try to eliminate the pests. Im sure it is very challenging to prevent this, but nonetheless it was disappointing.

While we've used Elaine's for the past 15 years, and always for the most part, been happy with the care, I do need to mention about their grooming services. The last few times we had our dogs groomed, the brushing was inadequate.

My dogs are so excited to come here!! They love it and come home happy and tired after spending a day with their new friends!

The staff are so friendly and the facilities are great. We feel comfortable leaving our Bandit here.

I had many bad experiences in the past in different places in the area, to the point that we almost lost my rescue black lab due to a negligence from a facilities staff. I did my research again until I found the perfect place for my dogs. Since, the first time, I left my dogs, I feel confident to travel knowing that my pets will be safe and well taking care of. I had the opportunity to toured the facilities before our first meet and greet appointment. I was impressed of the cleanness and well-organized facilities,including ambiental music and air conditioning. The playground and water park are build specifically for dogs. My dogs are happy when I picked them up and they never show any behavior of mistreatment as they did before. The staff is amazing and very professional. They have a holiday events offering photos for our our lovely pets. Also they provide a report cards for every visit, so I can read about their behavior during their stay. They accommodate my rescue black dog because he doesn't get along with other dogs. He does have one-one time and playing time. My little puppy get alone with other dogs and he does have play time with other puppies. Also I am over protective with my dogs and I was able to call every day to check on them when I travel for a week. I am very confident recommending this place to other pet owners. It is pricy compare to other places around but I can't complain about the care of my dear pets. " Happy pets, Happy fur parents" ~ MP

Wonderful place with an incredible team. My dog is always happy to be dropped off a d it is nice to know he is cared for when we cannot watch him.

Staff is well trained and obviously loves animals. Have boarded a small dog there twice and love the care the staff shows. I love the report cards you get showing how well your animal interacts with the staff and other residents.

Recently my puppy stayed at the Fresno location for a week. Im so impressed with the compassion and patience everyone had there. And by the way anyone who says the prices are a little high is ridiculous. For the package and quality for a pet that we consider family I was pleasantly surprised at the price. These days the treatment my pet and me received at Elaine's was refreshing. It allowed for me to relax on my trip and not worry about our Peanut. Thank you Elaines!

I have taken our dog to Elaine's for 9 years. She seems to enjoy her visits and comes home in happy mood.

Price is a little on the higher side but it's definitely worth it with how well they take care of my dogs. Everyone seems to genuinely care about the pets. Wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Great place to take your pet for boarding or day care services. Very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. My dog seemed to have a great time there.

They took really good care of my mom's dog when we flew back East for my daughter's wedding. As a matter of fact I think they spoiled the little guy, it was wonderful.

So far my pup loves it. He was shy and nervous at first, but hes definitely warming up. I have him in day care while I'm at work and its been such a good decision. Hes a very big pup so he would have been miserable in a crate. Here they walk them, take them for play time and they have the option to play in a group or have solo sessions depending on how your dog does with other dogs or if they are fixed or not. They also give them treats, you can bring your own treats, and 2 toys for your pet. Make sure your pet has all of their shots updated including the k9 influenza.
