Their moto “Our goal is to make your pet lucky” is bull. They just care about your money and not the health of your pet.

I been coming to Newark Pet Clinic for a few years now I loved the team who worked there, they were so nice to me and especially to my dog/baby. I went there today and had the horrible customer service her name was Sarah she was really rude !!! I’ve never seen her before there. There’s a lot more to it. My dog is a very good dog and loves every one. I also didn’t like how she treated my baby. I will no longer go there or my relatives that take there pets won’t go there again. This is all because of Sarah . Sarah you should not work at a place that you need to be nice because you have the worst customer service I know.

I have taken my dog to this place since December 2015. The original Vet was wonderful and saved our dog's life. Unfortunately, she retired. The new Vets are unavailable and leave it up to their Vet Techs (who are mostly friendly) to meet with clients. Today, they expected my dog who has ear infections to wait until Monday (5 days away) to be seen and simply told me to wash her ears. Seriously??? I would give ZERO recommendations to take your pets to these Vets!!!!

The doctor doesn't show up until mid-day, they dont take any severe patients in. This is a waste of a vet.

Great experience! The vet assistant was so nice and easy to talk to. They gave my pup her rabies and bordatella. Thanks team for the positive experience and stellar prices.

Was not able to speak to the vet to go over my dogs dental surgery however the vet techs were very helpful and answered all the questions I had. They don't seem like the kind of place that only wants money. I feel like they truly care for our pets. Also, I had went to 3 other vets to get estimates on my dog's surgery and Newark pet Clinic had the best price and provided excellent care.

Definitely AVOID this clinic! Short Version: - Kitten spay surgery done at Newark was incomplete, left with ovarian remnant. - With lots of suffering of my kitten, many of my working hours taken, and over $5000 spent, a second surgery was done successfully by a specialist at another clinic (Newark agreed with the second surgery plan). - With all clinical proofs received, and multiple phone chats, Newark never responds to my questioning of responsibility of the incomplete spay surgery and what my kitten and I have suffered from that. Full Story: Our kitten was spayed at the Newark Pet Clinic last December when she was around 6 months (invoice attached). Starting from this Feb, however, she showed symptoms of being in heat and things repeated approximately every ten days. I then brought her back to Newark for examination. They don't have an ultrasound, but a doctor examined her by hand and told me that nothing left in the region of her ovary so it cannot be the reason from the spay surgery. That said, he suggested me to bring my kitten to specialists. The specialist confirmed by ultrasound imaging and hormone test (ends up positive) that it was the ovarian remnant that caused the syndrome of our kitten. And another surgery is the only suggested way for a cure. I contacted Newark again with the clinical report from the specialist. Given that the doctor at the Newark did not feel confident to do a second surgery (neither did I), we agreed that I will go with the specialist and Newark will cover the cost. The surgery was done on Aril 27 and since then, my kitten has been normal. The surgery report (as attached) confirmed, once again, that the original surgery done at Newark was incomplete and left with ovarian remnant. I have sent through email all clinical reports and bills from the specialist to Newark right after the surgery. Since then, I have tried my best to communicate with them to address the responsibility of my kitten's case, including multiple emails and at least 4 phone chats. While I appreciate the patience of everyone I have spoken with, I have been repeatedly and consistently told that “we have received your documents and forwarded them to someone in administration, he/she will contact you soon”. The only thing I have heard from them besides that is pure silence, as if they had not done any harm to my kitten and I had not spent a penny due to their mistake. (I have paid more than $5000 and spent many working hours.) This is especially disgraceful considering that they actually have insurance for their surgical accidents, which is required by law and also confirmed by staff at Newark. Maybe you will be luckier than me when sending your pets to Newark, but whenever they make a mistake, my experience clearly shows that they will not take any responsibility. I have proofs of all above information.

This was our first time here as our vet closed about a year ago. Trying to find a vet taking urgent appointments for new pets they've never seen without records, is hard! They had no problems. Our 8 year old terrier was playing catch and stepped into a gopher hole, and dislocated her shoulder. Unfortunately, we thought it was a sprained paw so waited because she was using it off and on until a few days later when she slipped on the tile and did the splits with her front paws basically ripping all of the tendons and ligaments from that area of her shoulder. The caring & friendly staff, took her in, did an x-ray, gave us some pain meds and referred us to a specialist. The doctor came outside (due to Covid, no one can go inside the building) and spoke to us, answered our questions and made us feel as comfortable as we could given the situation. I liked the fact that they didn't try a bunch of things and charge me for it - they did what they could to make the diagnosis and to make her comfortable, gave me to number to the specialist and even sent over the x-rays so I didn't have to pay for those again. I have 3 dogs - I will be making them my primary vet from now on! I was very happy with their service, level of care and that they didn't try to charge you for things you really didn't need.

They took excellent care of our cat after she got into a fight and ended up with an abscess. Cost was very reasonable.

Untrustworthy and unprofessional. If you must get your pets' care here do not let them do an operation or prescribe Rx without a second clinic's opinion to back it up. We were told our puppy's cherry eye was benign but should be treated with surgery as the FIRST step of treatment when he got big enough. For the surgery after-care, they misprinted the Rx label such that the dosage instructions were DOUBLE what they should've been. We only caught it because the math wasn't adding up. They also gave us a handout after the surgery with an overview of the cherry eye condition that was NOT at all what they had initially verbally told us. The handout stated cherry eyes are inflamed or irritated glands (NOT BENIGN) that should be first treated with antibiotic ointment, then surgery ONLY IF the topical option didn't work. So essentially that's a couple hundred $$ already right there for an unnecessary, invasive surgery followed by irresponsible and dangerous errors in the follow-up medicine. If only that were the end of our issues with this clinic. The surgery also caused complications that they did not take responsibility for, or even acknowledge they could be at fault for. Turns out there was a suture knot that was not dissolving properly and was instead scratching against our puppy's eye constantly every day, so much that it caused an ulcer. We took him back in to see why his eye seemed to be bothering him so much still and the doctor examined him for 2 minutes before declaring he had scratched HIMSELF causing the ulcer and that we should also order bloodwork to run allergy tests. No consideration whatsoever that the new issue could have been a result of their mishandling of the original issue. Just telling us to jump straight into spending more money on more tests and procedures. Now compare that to my experience with the second clinic I went to for another opinion. The vet there was fully present and transparent for our full 30-45min appointment, doing comprehensive check-ups (listening to his heart beat, looking carefully throughout his eyes at the three lids in addition to the pupil and white areas) and talking through her observations, hypothesis, and advice about the various options we had for triaging the issue. It was a much more informative and professional experience than the 5 minute once-overs the Newark vets gave our puppy before deciding they knew precisely what the issue was and giving us a single option of $$ procedure for treating it. To specify at the time of our visits we were seen by two Indian male vets, I can't speak to the quality of any other vets they have on staff. The vets assistants also double as receptionists and overall the communication between us and staff were inconsistent and confusing. Depending on the day they were at times not even on the same page amongst themselves when we tried to confirm something we were told a previous occasion. Overall a real troublesome regrettable experience at Newark Pet Clinic. I have no confidence or trust in their ability to put my pet's best interests first. Attached is the recorded portion of our exchange with the clinic. They never responded or refunded us as requested.

Staffs were not so friendly and did not deliver message properly from doctor due to COVID19. Seems like staff just speaking rough estimates of their knowledge on things. One told me I need a PARVO every 2 weeks and another one told me 2-3weeks.i asked to see docotors opinion on my dogs dewclaw( removed or keep). Staff said the doctor is in surgery and will give me a call afterward. And it been couples days now

Very unprofessional and untrustworthy. You really do get what you pay for. First off, the only reason why we went with Newark Pet Clinic was because Warm Springs Pet Hospital was short staffed; therefore, delaying the vaccination process for our puppy. Newark pet clinic was able to take our puppy in right away, so we took advantage of this. During our first appointment, we notified the assistants that our puppy had been having diarrhea. The vet (who we never met, by the way) did the first "free" exam and told us to come back the following week because our puppy had pain around her abdomen. We came back the following week to finally start her vaccinations, of course we were charged an exam fee that time. On our 4th and final visit, we asked the clinic to do an ear and flea exam ($32 fee). They told us she doesn't have neither an ear infection or fleas. When we returned home, we found a flea on our puppy. We inspected further and found more fleas and "flea dirt". I emailed the clinic that night and called 3x today. The vet refused to refund us the $32 exam fee despite his lack of a proper flea exam (which seems like a simple routine exam). And now, we're also left wondering if the ear exam was done properly. Keep in mind, the vet never comes out to introduce himself; your pet is taken inside without you; who actually knows what they're doing inside the clinic? I've never even spoken to the vet over the phone. I know they are trying to follow COVID-19 safety precautions, but the doctor should at least come out to meet you especially if it's your first time at their clinic. This was a red flag from the start, and we should've never returned. Learned our lesson a little late, but hoping everyone else will consider this review and go somewhere else.

Took my 3 month old puppy for his first appointment and second round of vaccinations on a Saturday only to find out a week later that my friend took her puppy for the first visit on a Monday and wasn't charge the $32 Examination/Office Visit Fee. When I called to ask the discrepancy, the only answer they gave me was well we don't charge examination fees on week days. Well hell! If I knew that I would have taken my pup on a week day. Where is the transparency on their website or when I called to schedule an appointment? Additionally, the doctor never called me for a follow-up to ask if I had questions or other concerns since it was our first appointment. As a first time dog owner, I don't get a good feeling about this place. I'm going somewhere else!

Easy to be seen by doctors, both for emergency and routine checkups. Very caring staff. This is my new veterinary go to place. Prices are better than other pet clinics in the area. Highly recommend Newark Pet Clinic.
