Left my dog bleeding with no explanation. They push unnecessary vaccinations - this is the Kaiser of vets, I won't be returning.

Our dog Slick has gone for 13 years. Very nice, efficient and friendly. Top vets.

Fast, friendly and helpful. I have 4 pets who are seen here. Despite the bay area issue of low counts of veterinarians and vet techs, this clinic makes sure to give attention and care where needed. All my questions are answered and I feel like my pets are certainly cared for. Things will only get better when there is adequate staffing. I see comments about response time for calls. I get it--it is stress provoking waiting for a call or having to leave a voicemail. This is the times of a pandemic. They are working with minimal team employees and making it happen! This place is well worth the wait.

Overall quality has really gone down hill since Dr. Rue retired and sold the practice.

I understand that this clinic merged with the Rue clinic and are understaffed but this is going on 6 months now and they still do not answer their phones, or respond to messages. As we speak I have been waiting for over a week for a return call to set a appointment to get blood work completed for my dog, despite the message saying that they will call back in 24 hours. This is the 3rd time this has happened and no I am not interested in a generated response on Yelp telling me to call a certain number. Would have been great if they just answered the phone

The previous owners retired and it's clear the new ownership cut back on the important things. They've changed their rules to maximize the number of visits you need to make to get prescriptions. For example, heartworm tests should be done every 2 yrs but their scripts only last for very few refills now. So you need to come in more often ($$$) even though the test itself should be good for 2 yrs. Also, they no longer submit scripts to your online pharmacy (so you have to drive there to pick them up). Granted it takes a few calls and weeks of waiting to even get a written script... all the while your dog is at risk. Used to be a great vet but priorities have changed.

New owners, understaffed...you can only blame covid for so much. We went to another vet - got in quickly, had staff - well oiled machine. Look at other vet options.

This place had a recent change of ownership. I took my dog in for a dental cleaning yesterday, and communicating with them has become difficult. Calling them often sends me to voicemail, with the voicemail box being full. I hope they get back on course!

Dr Rue is so good with our cats! We love how will cared for we are here. It's getting harder to make same day appointments because they're so popular. Schedule all your well pet visits in advance to ward off any surprises. We've used this vet for over 20 years and are still loyal customers and highly recommend them

Effective December 31st 2020 Dr Rue has sold this practice. They don't have a vet there yet to take over.

Was excited to try this vet out because of the positive reviews but the front staff was so rude and condescending when I called to get some clarification and book I decided not to make an appointment. Doesn't matter how great the doctor is if the first person you talk to makes it difficult and unpleasureable to ask questions or make an appointment.

We've been bringing our cats to this vet for over ten years, and they have always been good to us. The care is good and the staff is friendly and caring, and always informative when we need to bring medication home or follow a treatment plan. As long as they're open, they'll be our vet of choice.

I've left multiple messages to set up appointments and never get call backs. We also ordered flea medicine last week and were told that we were going to get a call when the medicine was ready. We never got a call back and when we called, …

We have been take our cats here for over year now. Doctors are very friendly and explain any issues and concern clearly. Staff is also very friendly and responsive. If with appointment wait time is about 5 min after arrival. They even accommodated the on same day if symptoms are serious. My cat was littering quite often and staff accommodated the appointment on same day in few hours. Good vet for ???? as well as ????

Dr. Deborah Rue took really good care of Alexander. She is direct, efficient, knowledgeable and meticulous. She doesn't spend time making pet owner feel good and primarily focus her attention on our furry child which is what I want. One time, Alexander has an emergency while Dr Rue is on vacation and we uses another vet closer to our house. That experience helps me understand that Dr. Rue document the health information of Alexander's to the level no other doctor has done. I now only trust Dr. Rue. She is an outstanding doctor for our furry child!

Very professional staff, and knowledgeable vets, I've been a customer for many years now. My shepherds are always treated right. A bit above average cost, but in this case, you ARE getting what you paid for. If you live near the area, don't go anywhere else, specifically the former Ohlone hospital.
