I am so glad I found this vet for my two cats. After moving I didn't know if I would find another great cat only vet but I did at the Cat Clinic of Folsom! This place so great I really appreciate everything they did during my visit and how much they helped to reduce the stress of taking my cats to the vet. They were so fantastic and fast with the whole visit it really helped me not stress about the entire process. Thank you so much for the great service, this will be the only place I will take my cats!

Good place a little difficult to find. At first. They tried to upsell their services. When we picked our cats, they were not stressed like other places we have used.

The older lady at the front desk is very rude and out of line. She told me I should find a new vet since I’m not confident in the doctor because I didn’t want my Sphynx ear tested for mites. I’m confident in the doctor but I also consider the breeders advice because this is a rare breed. I still go to this vet and just try to ignore the front desks rude and pushy behavior. I just really wish the doctor would reprimand her for being out of line with customers

I took my cat to this vet because my regular vet is booked up. They wanted to do an xray to see if he had an obstruction. I waited and waited, I had an appointment but it appear other kittys came first. Then I was charged for pain meds. They gave him one in the office, and charged me for 6 more that I never received. When I called back and spoke with the receptionist, she said she would ask the vet if my kitty needs the 6 that they already charged me for. I asked when would she let me know, she said she didn't know. Wait, you don't know when you can get back to me? The receptionist then got very rude, raised her voice and repeated "I don't know! We are very busy!" I said, Wait you charged me for meds I didn't get and if my cat needs to be on them you don't know when you can find out or not? I said you don't need to be rude, this is your doing. They also were going to call me back, they didn't. Finding a caring competent affordable vet is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I can't say enough about the Cat Clinic, the staff is wonderful and Dr. Standen is a true gem. Very compassionate and caring. She did everything she could to help us with our beloved pet and to help keep our cost down. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like her and her staff. Thank you Cat Clinic.

I love how this place is for cats only. I love all animals. But it's much easier on your cat to not have to be around dogs. The vet visit is already stressful enough for them.

Very good service! The vet was super helpful and the assistants were great to make sure I get all the knowledge I need about my kitten.

This was truly horrific experience! Dr. Standen treated one of our Cats like a feral cat. Yes, he is a bit grumpy and a talker, but he is a very loving and cute Cat. Also, I would assume that a Veterinarian who specializes in Feline would not be scared of Cats. Is this too much to ask for? She wrapped him into a towel so he could not move and of course he got upset because he felt trapped and helpless and started growling. But the most horrific part is yet to come for this review. Dr. Standen looked in his mouth and immediately said that our Cat has a bad tooth and needs a dental surgery as well as he needs to be put on a pain killer. She said she would do a full exam while he is under general anesthesia since she was afraid to examine him at the time of the exam. She also said they would draw the blood test when he is under general anesthesia. Wait a minute - don't they take the blood test before the surgery to assure the Cat can actually take general anesthesia? What if he had something serious and would die during the surgery. Just for the record, we did take him to a different place where they draw his blood without any issues and uncovered hyperthyroidism that prevented him to go through a surgery. Anyway, I just want to make a bottom line here : Dr. Standen was highly unprofessional and she is scared of Cats. She gave me a call back when she found out we took our Cat to a different Vet and I told her even more than this reviews states. It took me for a while to write it; I hate to leave poor reviews, but I think it is important for Pet owners to know those details.
