Dr. Jones was very sweet and gentle with our Lucy. He took his time in diagnosing what was wrong with her eye, I never felt like he was rushing to get us in and out, which I appreciate. He came highly recommended by friends and I would definitely come back.

Dr. Jones and Dr. Valdez have been so sweet to my mastiffs! They really know what they're doing! The Office staff and Vet Technicians are great as well and sensitive to my pups' needs and quirks.

I'll start by saying I still think highly of Dr. Jones and his capabilities, I found him knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. What led to a mutual parting of ways weighs more in billing and what I consider business practices. It occurred a handful of times with the most recent highlighted below but I often came away with the feeling that I was leaving an unscrupulous mechanic, I understand now more than ever the impact everything is having on pricing and as a consumer I've accepted an increase. That being said I do think that a 400% mark-up is aggregious when as a consumer I can purchase the same medication (terramycin) online for $10.99 vs $48 for the same medication from Alvarado. I hope this comes off as an objective representation of my experience as I hold no ill-will and understand that not everything is a good fit.

My introduction to this hospital was in an emergency with my dear 8 year old dog 2 days after I had moved to Fallbrook. All the vets in the area were booked out 2 weeks, and my dog suddenly could not stand on any legs, but seemed to have no pain. Amazingly, they called me back the next morning to offer me a cancelation for that afternoon. Dr. JONES, and the staff were very compassionate and understanding of my situation. Then, my asthmatic 13+ year old cat developed pneumonia. Under their care, he recovered, but at a lower level than he had been at before, so he required supportive care every 2-4 weeks, and he finally passed 4 weeks ago. Again, the staff couldn't have been more caring.

I've been a client for 23 years. My pets and I are treated like family. Does not recommend unnecessary procedures or products. Cares for the pets like his own. Has always gone above and beyond. I no longer live in Fallbrook and there are no shortage of vets where I live but I always drive to Fallbrook and see Dr. Jones. It's worth it!

We really appreciate the care here. Our dog is older and recently experienced an injury to his ACL. We couldn't get in right away, so we saw another vet in the meantime. Dr. Jones and Dr. Valdez reviewed the x-rays from the other vet together and recommended we watch him for now and not do surgery at this time. I think this is the right choice for our dog's quality of life. We also talked through the different medications the other vet had recommended and decided which would be most helpful.

This is an excellent Veterinary Clinic. I have had several visits with my older cat including a surgery. The staff have all been welcoming, well organized and professional. Dr Jones is highly skilled, compassionate and explains options and the course of treatment well. Although very busy, he gave me the time I needed to feel comfortable with the best decision for my Buddy.

We love taking our dog here! They are amazing and always so helpful with any concerns I’ve had. My dog has had two surgeries due to unrelated conditions, they’ve alway made sure I’m well informed and if I have any concerns they make sure to have him come in as soon as possible to ease my nerves. And for having gone under two surgeries, my dog always gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. That’s what let’s me know they are beyond amazing with him.

We have taken our pets to Dr. Jones and the Alvarado Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. The staff is professional, courteous and have treated all our animals with the greatest of care. Our recent visit to Dr Jones for Cody was no different. Cody received the best of care and we appreciate the professional and caring treatment Dr Jones and his staff provided.

First time I ever had a vet refuse to allow you to buy pet meds online. "We don't authorize phone or fax percriptions". Buy here and pay double.

I have been going to Alvarado Vet Hospital for 20 years. DrJones is the most caring, knowledgeable vet I have been to. He and his staff are so caring and kind. I would highly recommend them.

We feel very fortunate to be able to have our Golden Retrievers see Dr Jones and his wonderful staff. We recently took our oldest Golden, Blondee, for her annual visit. We travel about 35 miles one way and Dr Jones and staff are totally worth the drive. They treat our girls with great kindness and compassion. I wouldn't take them anywhere but Alvarado Veterinary Hospital. They are the BEST!

After moving to Fallbrook I found it stressful having to find a new Dr. for our furry family members, especially when one pet was having issues. I’m happy so far after several visits. Dr. Jones still manages to find time to be personable and professional, even though COVID precautions mean consultations in the parking lot for now. As long as the staff continues to treat my pets like family I’m happy.

We love the staff at Alvarado Veterinary Hospital! They've been caring for our puppy since November 2020 and are always very helpful. Tugg has allergies and sees a dermatologist in San Diego but needs frequent shots for immunotherapy.. like every other day for a few months. He wasn't handling it well at home and the fantastic staff at Alvarado have stepped in to help make his shots more tolerable.Thank you!

We've taken our two cat's there since we moved to Fallbrook in 2017. Dr. Malcolm is super,but we like all of the other stuff that's on-call if he's not available are wonderful as well.
