I was referred to Dr. Rico by a friend and I can say with full confidence that I will be making her my regular vet. I was a bit panicked to get my pregnant cat seen because I thought she was struggling with her pregnancy. I took her in as a stray after she got pregnant and I had no idea what her background was so I wasn't sure if her pregnancy was going smoothly. Dr. Rico and her team were kind enough to fit me into their busy schedule and take a look at my kitty. She went over in detail how my kitty was doing and assured me that she was okay and I could expect healthy kittens soon. She also walked me through some things I would need to know about when she goes into labor and answered any and all questions I had. I will be bringing her kittens back when it is time to vaccinate and fix them. Thank you Dr. Rico and VCA Greenback staff!

It is ok. long waiting, be prepared for 3 or 4 hours before you talk to the doctor. I had been twice Possible three times if I can hear from the doctor that is supposed to give me a call today. I called them today to find out about what I should do with my cat around five pm it is ten pm and I haven’t heard from anyone to let me know what I should do. . Also I requested copies of the records before I left but, they said they are going to send it to my later by email, it is pass 24 hours and nothing yet , hopefully soon . 03-26-2021

Sweet and friendly staff took great care of my service pet thank you will be back

I have been bringing my two dogs here for a few years. They both have skin allergies and my oldest girl had cancer. Dr Rico is amazing with our babies. I have always felt her love for them. She gave me 6 more months with my girl by amputating her toe with cancer. She saw her every 3 days to dress the foot and keep her on the road to recovery. I think the entire team is amazing! When Che passed we got a beautiful card and a call. I just love them for everything

They are strictly out for money. They diagnosed my dog with a degenerative heart disease about two years ago and she's on lifetime medication. I was ill and unable to get her to an appointment and they are denied the pharmacies request to refill her prescription. They just keep quoting some federal law saying they have to see the pet once a year admitting they haven't seen her in 2 years. I said so you're already admitting that you have broken the law for a year now refilling prescriptions in randomly decided now so time to cut her off? She stumbled around and when we asked for the manager she admitted she was the manager. Requested she give 30 day of pills so my dog could get back on her 2xs a day heart meds and schedule me an appointment to bring her in and they denied it. My dog is losing weight and I have filed a formal complaint for pet endangerment.

VCA is always great. Their staff from the doctors to the office staff are very nice, knowledgeable and always professional. Love them, so do our puppers.

Seriously the sweetest and most knowledgeable staff. My cat usually has terrible anxiety at the vet, but they took such great care of her she didn't make a peep. When she got home she went right back to her normal self, which is definitely a first for after the vet. You can tell they really care about the animals and are not there just to take a ton of money from you. The staff is also very patient and kind, and the doctor was thorough with her exam. The doctor was also patient and answered all my questions with so much care. They also take awesome precautions when it comes to COVID. I would highly recommend them for cat care of any sort. So happy Bailey and I found our forever vet!

We took our first dog, Molly, to this vet for the last two years of her life. She was a disabled corgi with little to no movement in her back legs. The vets here took wonderful care of her up until we had to say goodbye last year. We just got a new puppy and we are so grateful to have an excellent place to take her. Thank you.

One of the worst things you can ever get trapped into. Care club is a joke. You end up spending more money on the club then helping your pet. They are greedy, rude and extremely slow when it comes to helping customers. They didn’t even show me the X-rays for my sick animal. Do not go here. Extremely bad.

Dr. Loughner truly cares about animals. She was so good with my scared kitty, and gave helpful recommendations for her care without pushing pricey products. VCA Greenback in general doesn't give you the heavy sales pitches I've gotten at other vets. The interior of the building is clean and has had a beautiful upgrade since we last visited, complete with cat trees in the kitty exam rooms. My cat really liked that tree! I completely trust my two furbabies' care to Dr. Loughner and VCA Greenback.

It's never a good day when you have to visit an emergency vet. April 18th, 2019 was a horrible day for me and my dog. I was a mess. The staff was wonderful. The vet on duty (I wish I knew her name) was amazing. I was inconsolable and she hung in there with me and my daughter. I am incredibly grateful for all of the staff working that evening. Thank you for what you do.
