Took my Bull Terrier boy for his first vet visit after adopting him. Staff is very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable about specific breeds, and very good with handling your pet:)

I have been a customer for over 5 years. I love the way they take care of my doggie. I can call and request updates and I feel very confident they take good care of my fur baby when I go away. The prices have increased and I have to take pre-measured food in a separate bag for his daily feedings, which in my opinion is not very earth friendly. Other than that, the most important thing is the care they give.

The staff is great all around. Couldn't ask for better care from your Vet. "strangers" is not how I would describe these caring people that make your furbaby feel safe.

It is like a drive through animal care. You park, they come out for you to check you in, and pick your pet up. We came for our bunny month ago for Bunny Ebola shot, but after the shot they notified us it was an expired shot. It was an honest mistake, and we did not have other options anyway as this shot is on backorder everywhere, and only imported with special permit from FDA. They scheduled us for today and we got a new shot for our bunny. Free of charge. They owned their mistake and corrected it. Staff is always courteous. I live in central SD, so it is a long drive for us, but it was worth it.

Absolutely love Dr. Kelly! She was my dogs first vet while in Oceanside and she eventually left that office and I moved almost an hour away. My dog then suffered a brain injury and the care from another vet nearly killed my dog and it seemed more about money than treatment so $5,000 in, I had enough. I stalked Dr. Kelly, literally, until I located her and called the new clinic over and over again until she called me back. I pulled my dog out of doggie ICU and brought him to Dr. Kelly. She took her time, reviewed everything the previous vet had done, examined him, and corrected the treatment plan. She then contacted me multiple times a day to follow up, ensuring I was confident in caring for my dog, and he had positive responses to the care. My dog survived and now Dr. Kelly is stuck with me for the rest of my dogs life because an hour drive is nothing for the superb care she offers to the dog and the owner. It’s unmatched! She is the best of the best, her bedside manner is what all vets & vet techs should emulate. I absolutely love VCA Acacia, yes they are busy, yes the wait time is sometimes longer than I’d like, but when it does take long, it’s because they have a life saving emergency and I’d rather wait all day with my healthy dog if that meant an injured animal was given proper and humane treatment and a family didn’t suffer a possible preventable loss simply waiting for vet care. This is the best place to take your animal and if it isn’t, Dr. Kelly will refer you, she is honest and wants the best for you and your animal.

No reasonable appointments for serious problem. Also quite expensive for a basic exam.

They said they groomed dogs. But they don't! The grooming was awful. and no I did not go back in to say hey about this in about that because I have a senior dog, so you only get one shot, they missed it by a mile. However the doctor did call the other doctor who cost me a lot of money.... My dog never needed that medicine? Liars liars liars..... Please Jacqueline come back you're the best groomer in the world! Stupid covid. Haven't found a great groomer yet. Only the bad ones,.....

Long wait to get checked-in. One of phone staff not friendly. Vet was friendly and seemed very thorough.

Our first change in Vets in 20 years and I'm sorry I waited so long. Staff was stellar.

We LOVE doggy daycamp! Vigo gets SO excited when we “go to see his friends” he knows exactly what that means! We miss you all during COVID10”9

Our pet never fears being seen here and the care makes us all happy.

We love this place! We bring our dogs in to the vet and are very happy with their treatment. They also go to doggie daycare here and have never had problems. I love the pictures and feedback we get from employees on their activities that day.

We've been bringing our dogs here for over 6 years. The staff is very kind and have been accommodating when ever we have had an emergency. Their policies for Covid safety are great. I feel very safe bringing my pets to them

I have tried two other exotic vets in San Diego for my bunnies, but I choose to drive twice as far to bring them to VCA Acacia. They get it right from start to finish. The front desk staff are always warm, authentic and so helpful. It’s also a calm environment in the waiting room. I take my bunnies to Dr. Canseco and I am so grateful for her. She and the technicians are always so gentle with the bunnies. Dr. Canseco is calm and takes the time to allow the bunny to feel comfortable. I never feel rushed or judged - Dr. Canseco actively listens to my questions and concerns and walks me through all of my options. At other vets I constantly feel rushed and every time I go in they say I need full bloodwork and x-rays, no matter what it is I’ve come in for. They also don’t handle my bunnies with the care that Dr. Canseco does. I truly feel that she cares for her little patients. Thank you Dr. Canseco for all the work that you do. ❤️

Fast and friendly service! My dog is heading for 16 years old. He's seen several of the doctors and I would recommend them all! They understand his anxiety during visits and are very gentle with him.

They are always willing g to do anything they can for your pet. This place is amazing.

I've worked for a vet before, and the service here was bad. They say they will have a nurse call you back in 24 hours. I called simply asking if they can provide a neuter for my exotic pet, and for a price estimate. I was told I'd get a callback from a nurse within 24 hours. I call again with a follow up question in case I can't answer the next day, because I'd be working by then. I got a callback several days later, and it was just a snarky nurse saying they would need to see my pet before performing a service, and that they "typically don't just do THAT". I was expecting to pay an exam fee, lady. I was simply asking if they have medical billing codes for the procedure I was asking for, put it like that. Your services and fees should not be a mystery and they should not be late and hidden behind trying to get that exam fee. Take better care of your nurses and clients, please. I knew I was on the older end of the recommended age to neuter this exotic pet, and you guys pretty much closed that window for me.

I had an emergency with my cockatiel/foot injury. They took her right in and were super communicative via cell phone as I waited in their parking lot. Dr Kelly was so kind and informative and gave lots of options. Guapo is feeling much better now on her antibiotics and pain meds. Yes they are more expensive but expert bird care is hard to find.

I love VCA Acacia! Ive taken all my babies there (feathered, furred, and if i needed to even my critters) Everyone there is AMAZING! Very up front about issues and are so kind! When my sweet bird passed away last year, they even sent me a card sharing their condolences! I reccomend to anyone!
