Overall the staff and service was exceptional. Dr.Prior helped answer questions and reassured us about any problems as well as Bella. I’d definitely recommend this experience and will be coming back. My dogs seemed comfortable with the staff.

Nurse Bella, Dr.Pryor, and the receptionist who welcomed us in were all very friendly, nice and patient!! They understood I was a first time doggy mom and walked me through the process, answered my questions and things I need to know about my breed! Definitely recommend and the pricing is reasonable too in my opinion! Nice and clean inside.

I took one of my cats in today for his annual exam and vaccination, which I've been doing for the past 11 years. The team was responsive, timely, friendly, and thorough. The receptionist took much of her time to talk with me while waiting for my paperwork, which was appreciated.

The service and people were awesome! They handled my puppy very well!

Took our new kitten here for an initial exam and all the staff was so helpful. The Dr. answered all my questions and did not rush through the exam. Shout out to Emily for making us an appointment in a timely manner and being a breath of fresh air on the phone! We will only be doing business with this Animal Hospital from now on!

We have 4 pups and this clinic is one of the best! Definitely the best one in Escondido. They’re so welcoming, staff is great and Dr. Pryor is very knowledgeable and amazing overall! Highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience here! Every single staff member was so polite and helpful. I came on a super busy day and they not only squeezed me in but didn’t rush us through our appointments. My dog lovvvvved Dr Sacco as well as the nurse! I will definitely come back and already told my neighbors all about it! So grateful to have a truly wonderful community vet!

My family has been clients of mohnacky for 10+ years. I have a lot of love for the workers of this vet and would love to share my experience. I had a bit of a communication hiccup with a vet tech in terms of handling my newest rescue, but it was quickly resolved by the fantastic team. The executive director and her assistant we're absolutely amazing and reassured me that my baby will always be in safe hands and handled with care. She has a serious fear of strangers and the vet in general, due to her past history. I am so grateful for the amount of genuine effort, care, and kindest these two women gave us during our next visit. The communication is beyond a clients expectation and so personable, I don't think I will ever go to another vet for services again thanks to their amazing bedside manner and hospitality. My other baby, also a rescue, had another case of colitis due to his weakened immune system from his previous life in Mexico. Mohnacky made sure to be very diligent with checking his blood work, x rays, stool samples, etc. The hardest part about being a dog mom is not being able to help them when they're sick, so again I am so grateful for this amazing team and their hard work. I've been to previous vets before a little more local to my area, but I promise you driving 35+ miles to ensure that my dogs are getting the best care they could possibly receive is worth it. Other vets are very bland and lack that "I love my job" vibe. These workers love their job and the animals in their care, and to me, that's EVERYTHING. Special shout-out to the receptionist Heather, director and director assistant Lily & Heather, and my favorite vet tech Ariel. You're angels! They have been my veterinarian for many, many years. The staff is always friendly, caring, and compassionate to my pets. I also appreciate their honest recommendations on treatment.

Very disappointing how my dog with a torn ACL has been handled... Was a shame as the reviews all say otherwise so just keep this in mind. Carlsbad office never called us back to try to have him seen and now we are shuffling to get other vets involved before our x-rays apparently expire.

My wife and I had to euthanized our beloved dog Luis today. Saying we are heartbroken is an understatement. He gave us 10 years of pure joy. He touched our hearts, loved us and took care of us. As difficult as it is to say goodbye we didn't want him to suffer any more. He had a great day last night. He made it all the way around his favorite walk. Ate all his dinner and watched a movie in bed with us. But we know that this was brief happiness and he was suffering. It was time to say goodbye. We believe we showed Luis mercy today by not prolonging his suffering. Dr. K and all the staff at Mohnacky were gentle and kind and listened to us and gave us their thoughts without pushing us one way or another. Please show your pet the love they deserve by not prolonging their suffering. Our pets are gifts from God. They give and give joy while they are here and they deserve nothing but love and mercy from us.

My Dog woke up hangin his head one morning with an ear infection. It was caused from swimming during all of this the hot weather we are experiencing. He was in pain and I felt bad for him. I called Mohnacky to set up an appointment. They could not get me in for 2 days. So, I arranged a time for the appointment. I arrived on time and was asked to wait in my car until they were ready. When I finally got into the hospital, I was put into a room with my dog. The room was adequate where all of the procedures for ear issue could have been done. Instead they took my dog to another area of the hospital. The person who came to get my dog asked me to remove his leash attached to his harness and put a leash around his neck. My dog walks great with his harness but does not like being lead by the neck. This vet tech was literally dragging my dog out of the room by the neck with the leash. So, I waited for the results of their findings. Yes, it was an ear infection. The vet said someone will come in to discuss billing. One of the technicians came in the room to discuss the bill. There was many treatment items added to the bill that had nothing to do with the ear infection. When I declined these other treatments, I swear it was like high pressure sales, just like buying a car or a time-share. If I said no to one person they would get someone else to come in the room and they would grind me for some other treatment that I wasn’t there for. When I declined the treatments that were not needed, the vet tech actually asked "Do you still what us to work on his ears" I said YES that is what I am here for. I ended up with a $227.00 bill. I was expecting to spend may be 100 bucks to get ear medicine. I was in the room for 1, 1/2 hours. For the last 1/2 hour I could hear my dog barking in the back so they obviously put him in one of pins. I finally opened the door and asked the vet techs out front if they were done with my dog. That is the last time I will go to that animal hospital. I will drive 100 miles to any other vet service before I bring my dogs back to Mohnacky. The worst part, the medicine used on my dogs ears is available on Chewy.com for $21.00.

Every time I take one of my pets to Mohnacky in Vista,I receive such support. The vet is so personable and kind as well as knowledgeable. I always know that I'm getting the best care for my pets.

Our cat was in late stage renal failure and, after reviewing blood work, it was determined that the best course of action for the 21 yr. old kitty, was euthanasia . Dr. Pryor and entire staff were wonderful throughout entire ordeal: very professional by promptly calling back with results and detailing everything. They all were very caring and even willing, to stay past closing if we needed to stay a bit longer to 'say goodbye.' The entire staff made a difficult time much easier. Thank you all!

I've contemplated writing this review for quite some time but feel that my experience with this place needed to be shared. I was gifted a dog from a business that, at that time, had some sort of partnership with Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido to perform a health examination on my new dog. Long story short, after Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido's health examination and supposed fecal analysis, Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido failed to discover that my dog had Giardia (which could potentially be passed from dogs to humans). Although the staff I dealt with were nice, something just felt off. They took my dog to their back room to get a (supposed) stool sample but all vets I have taken prior pets to in the past request that I bring a sample in. Having seen how quickly another vet was able to detect that my dog had Giardia makes me believe that that Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Escondido either didn't do a fecal analysis or chose to look the other way. I am thankful to have quickly sought a second opinion from another vet and will stay away from this place at all costs.

Very great staff always friendly and nice to your animals... but the doctors what are they doing are they even checking the animals right. Being taking my dog for almost 2 years. They didn't recognize that he has allergies until it was too noticeable. They just want to do alot of test which they can't get an answer to what he has. They basically want that money.

After trying to get my Boxer an emergency visit somewhere (7 different places), Mohnacky Animal Hospital made room for him. He needed surgery and they stayed late to take care of him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of Buddy!

Mohnacky was recommended to me by a family member so it’s like going our family veterinarian. I have absolutely no worries bringing my best buddy here- even during the pandemic. Everyone is professional, friendly, and ready to help. Most importantly my dog gets the best care as well as she always comes out happy and as stress free as possible. This place is great!

We had a last-minute rather urgent situation and even though they were very busy they manage to squeeze us in, accommodating and giving first rate service. This is not the first time that I have been over the top impressed with the quality of their work and the accountability of their professionalism. But this time I thought it was important to write a review. Also they went out of their way to save us money and to explain to me that a few of the things I thought were needed we’re not really necessary. It saved us a lot of money and yet our cat was treated with first rate care! I highly recommend this veterinary service and found all of their helpers well qualified and caring.

Been going to Mohnacky for 13 years. They provided good care for my dog. Caring and informative doctors and staff.

Please if you love your pet do not take them to this vet, they were very professional before but they just turned into a money pit. My dog cut his leg with barb wire and had a giant cut and was starting to get infected and they told me they were very professional and they will take care of me, I felt right at home they were very kind. Long story short they messed on my dogs surgery and they told me they needed to redo it and wanted to charge me the full fee again, I told them I will not pay a dime because they admitted they messed up and they needed to do it right. After going back and forth they just told me the only alternatives I have are paying again or they give me my dog back with the open cut and hope that the cut heals and closes on it’s own, they cancelled all my follow up I had paid for on my first appointment and they handed me my dog with an open wound. They don’t care about your pet they only care about the money, if they really care about your pet. The vet is the most unprofessional vet I’ve met because she did not care to help my dog, all she cared about was money. I took maters into my own hands and thank god my dog is no longer injured. No thanks to this vet. It’s disgusting how they work they should not be open. I would gladly show photos and evidence but they are too graphic and I almost got a lawyer involved but I do not care about the money I just wanted my dog to be back to normal and running freely. Please from a animal lover to another avoid at all costs, find a true vet because Mohnacky Animal Hospital in Escondido has become a money pit.

We are very happy with our choice of veterinary care! We believe that our "girls" are getting excellent care at a reasonable cost. Every interaction we have had at Mohnacky Vista and Mohnacky Escondido over many years has been positive. It's important to us that our beloved fur babies stay healthy, and if we had any doubt or concern about the quality of care or costs, we would not be here. In addition to being competent and talented, both Drs. Pryor and Sghiatti are delightful people, and they have always given us options for care and been upfront about costs. I like that they include us in the decision making process as partners in the girls' care. I recently read an awful review of this practice on NextDoor, and it pained me to see you maligned in that way. One disgruntled client can do a lot of damage to a fine reputation. I can tell my doggie is cared for and respected when he comes to the vet. They have a wonderful and dedicated staff.

My cat needed emergency surgery for an open fracture of his tail after escaping a coyote. The staff at Mohnacky Animal Hospital is the best! As a Trauma ICU nurse, I had a ton of questions and concerns. I was treated respectfully and compassionately by all. And Freddy got the best of care! Thank you all so much!

The Doctor was very sweet and informing regarding my dog's procedure and her recommendations .Also the tech was very sweet when she came to get my shy dog.First time here and will be coming back for sure.

All they care about is money, horrible experience don’t bother taking them here, they just ended up leaving my dog with a giant open cut because I didn’t want to pay for their mistake. They don’t care about the patient only about the clients money.
