My mom recently had to put her best friend ( Boba the cat) down. It was the hardest decision she had to make ( 16 year old Boba had a great life). From the moment we walked through the front door the receptionist was very kind and comforting. Dr. Tim and his nurse walked us through the process. They gave us the time we needed. My mom and I were able to be with Boba for our last goodbyes. My mom received a sympathy card and a paw print. The box that he was sent home in was perfect and thoughtful. This office doesn’t only care about animals, but their family’s as well.

Took my dog in to get a mole checked, but also had lots of other questions I wanted to ask the vet. As they took my dog back, I asked if I could go into the exam and was told no. I was surprised by that because we've been allowed to in the past at this place. Maybe this is a covid thing? Since I couldn't go back, I didn't get to ask my questions. After 5 minutes the vet came out and nonchalantly said, it seems ok, but we can biopsy it if you want. So now I'm sitting in their front office/waiting room getting this news with other people listening and I didn't know what to do. I felt uncomfortable asking further questions because the vet seemed pretty anxious to end the visit. I did remember that my dogs dew claw was cracked so I asked if he could clip it, which he did? But later I looked and it was still messed up. They charged me $50, which was not agreed on our explained before or after the visit. I won't be going back just because I just need to be able to have a vet who allows me to be part of the consultation, who can extend the courtesy of including me, so I feel like my dog is getting the best care possible.

I have been seeing Dr. Sherman since he took over this practice. I have a 14 year old baby who had a cancerous growth on her toe. Her toe ended up needing to be removed. Dr. Sherman and his staff made this process so incredibly comfortable. They even called and checked in multiple times after her surgery . I have had my dog since she was 8 weeks old and she in now 14 and had her first surgery, so I was really nervous. They made sure to answer all of my silly questions and were so patient and concerned about my emotions. I will never use another vet. There are no words to express my happiness with this place and the people who work here. Thank you guys for caring for my baby.

I spoke to Emily I Believe...she was very helpful. My 7 month old male cat needed to be neutered and chipped. She was extremely helpful with all questions and concerns I had. The day of she greeted me and treated my sweet boy Klauss well. I have decided this will be his permanent vet because I know he’s a good hands

Didn’t have a chance to visit but I’m giving a poor review as to the professionalism of the staff who answer the phone. I called to ask how they were going about seeing pets over this covid period. Which is not an unusual question, given that some vets are not allowing people to stay for the visit etc. The woman who answered replied with a question “uhhh seeing pets??” So I clarified “yes are you all doing walk ins or appointments.” She responded “Uhh... yes. We have always been appointment only and are booking up through June.” I said thank and you and goodbye. I just wonder if they assume everyone is just a long time patron and knows the way it works at this office, but I have lived all over the United States and been to all different types of clinics.. I’m calling to ask you directly for a non-BS answer to my question. Being condescending to people who call in for a cash payer service isn’t going to keep afloat with loyal customers. I wouldn’t have made this review if not for the tone of voice used.

If I had reviewed this place in 2019, I would have given this place 5 stars. The vet was kind, compassionate and honest. I regularly went here for my pets. But we are in 2020. On three separate occasions, I tried to take my pets in for treatment. Each time, I was told by an uncaring receptionist I would need to wait a minimum of two weeks. Around April, my first cat was literally dying. His kidneys had failed. Did they care? Nope, two weeks. Around July, my other cat got in a fight with a dog. Lost a claw and multiple puncture marks in his tail. After getting him cleaned up at the ER, they told me to get a more thorough checkup with my regular vet. Did the receptionist care that I was holding a literally bleeding cat in my arms? Nope, two weeks. This week, after discovering some sores in my dog's mouth, I called to try and make an appointment again. Moved all my business to another vet, who saw me same day, after being told yet again to wait two weeks. I know we are all facing difficulties in 2020, but I cannot recommend a vet who makes absolutely no effort to be there for you when you need him most.

Dr, Sherman always listens to my concerns regarding my cat and offers advice on solutions. Luckily my cat hasn't been sick or hurt but I wouldn't hesitate to trust Dr, Sherman with Luda's care.

My little angel needed teeth work recently and El Norte Vet hospital was very kind and did excellent work on her. Very friendly staff, a little pricey but well worth it. My Anna recovered quickly and with NO problems. Thank you everyone for being so helpful and kind. I highly recommend them and will be returning .

We are slowly transitioning our pets to this clinic as our pet needs arise. We had an appointment for our dog for next week and they got him in yesterday. He has really bad allergies. I thought he needed a $250 allergy test. Instead of having the test done, Dr. Sherman clearly saw he has allergies and didnt subject my dog or our wallet to doing the test. My dog is now on an allergy regiment! Thank you for the care of my baby and all pets! All small businesses matter. Support your local vet!

Called to ask if they take any walk ins today, lady on the phone was very rude not helpful and responded with a no and hanged up on me. Very disappointed with the customers service I was given. Called back again to ask when the next appointment open and three from now. What a great friendly help ha!

We had our dog neutered at El Norte. Not only are their prices the best around, the also did an excellent job and were flexible with our schedule.

We will not go back to this vets office! Our cat is on prescription food, they checked him out a few months ago and we have been getting our prescription until we were leaving for a couple of weeks and needed to get his food. No warning No notice NO FOOD!!! They refused until they saw him! We had no food no prescription!! They said it had been awhile since they had to see him. I said we would make an appointment but we were leaving and needed his food. NOPE!! Rude customer service we walked out and had to ration the food till we came back!!!!! What vet would do this, MONEY for an appointment that’s why!!!!! We still have to find a vet to get the food!!! Never going back! They care about animals?

Very kind and compassionate. Worked with me to help give me options for my dog with glaucoma. Took care of her ear infection. And when another ver didnt send her records, then took her in for vaccinations without an office visit charge.

Dr. Sherman is a young, knowledgeable vet who prefers simply caring for his patients as opposed to gouging their owners
