What a wonderful group of people working here to bring our pet to. We have been so pleased with the level of professionalism and quality of care we have received in the two visits we’ve had here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I feel very comfortable allowing my dog to go with them to other rooms to be treated and cared for. There’s no hidden fees and over billing. We don’t feel like we are being taken advantage of or offered services that our dog doesn’t need. Highly recommend this office to you. Thanks so much!

Horrible service and dedication to your pets health. They seemed more concerned about the time they are off then the health of your pets. On their website, it states that “ we will try to find a way to work you in” with or without an appointment. I had an appointment scheduled and arrived on time. The vet techs told us that we did not schedule a sick appointment. I told them our puppy was sick and their response was” we close at two”. There was no one else in the building. I would understand if they had a long list of people, but it was just us in the waiting room. I also pay for the thrive package and that made no difference. All I was asking was for the doctor to see the puppy. They wanted us to wait until tomorrow. I do not recommend this hospital as they truly do not care about the well being of your pets. They are concerned about what time their schedule ends. They left us with a sick puppy with no care in the world. Save your peace of mind by finding a different hospital.

My local Thrive couldn't see my girl Stella for a week, so I drove to 20 miles to THRIVE Encinitas. Wow! This is by far the best Thrive! The staff is so welcoming and kind, and Dr Rice was super attentive to my pup and her needs. I'll be returning again for sure!

I came to this location with an appointment. I arrived with my sick puppy and explained that my puppy was experiencing some coughing symptoms and that i wanted to speak with the doctor. The vet techs stated that I did not have a sick appointment, but a wellness appointment. They said they would not see the dog for sickness as they were closing at 2:00. We arrived at 12:45 and there was no one in the waiting room. I explained to them that my puppy was sick and that i wanted to see the doctor. I also told them that I have the Thrive package, but that made no difference. They would not accommodate us in any way. I was heartbroken as i was left in the waiting room with a sick puppy. It hurts to know that help is right there, but they were unwilling to help. They kept reiterating that they close at 2:00. What poor customer service and lack of care for the well being of an animal. They showed their true self today and I will not be going back to this hospital anymore. Truly disappointing. Ps: I emailed them on the email that they answered me here on this post and guess what? No answer. I will make sure that everyone that I know have knowledge about this. Thats a shame.

This place was amazing the membership is a big plus make sure to get it. Mariana who was at that front was very sweet made me feel like I made the right decision by coming and listen to all my problems that was going on with my pet, I did not have an appointment but she saw my stress and concerns and was able to fit us in that same day so I am so thankful. Erick was the tech that was in charge of my pet and he was very respectful and helpful with everything. Dr.Rice was very sweet answered all my questions and made me feel so much better. The whole team was amazing they took their time and just made sure my pet felt safe! Thank you thrive this will be the location I will from now on come to

After struggling to find an appointment for two days, I was finally set up for an appointment. When I got there, I was a few minutes late and asked if there was any way to reschedule. The receptionist was rude as she said “ummm, just look for another vet. We can’t take you. You’re late” I understand that I could not make it in time but I needed a simple solution: another appointment. She told me she would add me to a wait list, but that she couldn’t confirm as she unprofessionally stated “I JUST said I WILL CALL YOU to let you know.” I was visibly stressing out (because my dog was sick and I couldn’t get service or a confirmation for a new appointment), and she motioned with her hand for me to calm down. I apologize, but if you refuse to see my sick pet, do not give me any help as to what to do with him so that I can alleviate any of his pain, do not give me a new appointment time, AND tell me to calm down (with a hand gesture) whilst providing terrible customer service… it’ll be really hard for me as a client to “calm down” Bad service 0/10 Would not recommend

Their $10 a month program is a great deal and the staff has been super sweet-caitlyn, jasmine, and the receptionist. Ashleigh.....not so much though (multiple people thought she could use an attitude adjustment.)

This review is for Thrive Encinitas only! I had a terrible experience at Oceanside Thrive; don’t go there. The ladies were prompt, professional, caring to my pets needs, and efficient. We were in and out. A very painless visit.

Super attentive, polite, friendly and attentive staff from receptionist to tech to vet. Also we’re caring and gentle in handling our dog and asked all the right questions and gave right prescriptions. (We saw Dr. Rice who was great). Didn’t go overboard on recommended testing and procedures the way some vet practices are known to do. Really happy and plan to bring more of our pets here.

Everyone was really nice and helpful. They made me feel like they had been seeing my dog for years. The vet took her time with us and explained everything and answered all my questions. All together an A+ experience!

Wonderful experience! All nurses and DR were great with Cash, Harley and Nena! Attentive to all question and needs of my babies, we will continue to use their services and will recommend than. Thrive+ is a must for us since I have an older dog that needs constant visits to the vet ande meds.

This was my first time to Thrive with my dog Noodles and they were wonderful. It was easy to book on line. The front staff, the nurse and Dr. we’re all so kind and helpful! I felt like they really cared about my dog and they were honest with what needed to be done now and what we could wait on.

We live in Mira Mesa but our Thrive is always booked out for weeks. Luckily Encinitas Thrive usually can see us ASAP or within a day or so! The staff here are sooooo nice and our pups don’t get nervous there! The techs really treat my dogs like their own. And I feel like the care my dogs get here is thorough and very professional.

Great care all the time! I bring my three pugs and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The doctors are knowledge and the staff is very amazing. My dogs used to be scared going to the vets but not anymore ! Thanks thrive ????

I’ve taken my puppy here twice and both times the team delivered such a caring, responsive, and thorough service. The second time was a same-day, they called us back with a cancellation slot to fit us in. The follow-up on the next day convinced me that they truly care.

This vet is absolutely awful. We had one really great vwt tech named kaitlin but the rest of staff is extremely unprofessional. They don’t seem to genuinely care about their clients.

The Thrive Encinitas location is less than a mile from our house and attached to the PetCO which we use as our main store. We visited twice with our Boxer, once to have them make a stifle cast for a brace and again for an exam for a new skin mass on Kali's foot. The vets have been wonderful at both visits as has the front office team member. Unfortunately, the systems and communications for the local office and how it links back into the central or regional location does not work. I know Thrive seeks to make quality pet care affordable however; based on our two experiences it makes them complicated. When you make an appointment you end up having to provide all the same info again ... and more, as the intake customer service who scheduled the appointment and local office records / systems seem to be different. In addition, there is an excessive amount of texts following making an appointment and many are redundant. During COVID we of course wait in our car, which is just fine however; the system Thrive uses can't reach you even though the correct phone number is confirmed (and texts are coming in to same phone). Lastly while some communications are excessive, important ones such as timely scheduling of a mass removal post cytology result are absent. We received the lab information last Sunday. I have called the office to ask for an estimate and scheduling and replied to the initial email yet - no response, no follow up, no removal. I just can't wait that long so have made plans elsewhere to remove this mass from our Boxer. I wish this location good luck and hopefully they can integrate and streamline their systems as they are a barrier currently. Again the DVM and front staff were great, it is the systems and follow up that is why we are moving on.

Both but great things for Thrive Encinitas! The staff is super sweet and the doctors are very knowledgeable. They let me know what is important versus what I can wait for, they actually care about not overwhelming you and your pet!! 10/10
