Hello all, I dropped my puppy DIXIE MAY of at 7:50 Am 1st one there Monday 1-24-2022 for new puppy evaluation and deworming also stool test. the lady that came out and picked up Dixie May said it would be very quick. because she does not have all her shots 1-2 HRS. ok perfect! called at 2:01 PM talked to a lady at the front desk. She said please hold. ok. she got back on the line and said Dixie just finished her exam. Funny they take lunch from 1:00-2:00PM. how is it even possible to do a puppy exam in 1 min. I call BS. So I get there at 3PM to pick her up and nothing has been done to my little girl. Dr. never called no patient Dr. relationship. not perfectional at all.. I authorized them to do the work stated above and nothing was ever done Dr. hung up on my Ex wife after she Questioned him about the poor service witch she has been in the field for over 15yrs MY Part I did tell the girl that the practice sucked witch was not nice but I was heated at the time. they would not give me my little Dixie May back to me if I didn't pay the 79.00 evaluation witch they did in 1 min because they close for lunch from 1-2PM and the just finished at 2:01 hmm 30$ to trim my Dixies nails witch were trimmed on Sunday lol Dixies DAD MRS Spragg They would not release my pup unless I paid the 79.00$ so I paid and I will depute it Step your game up Doc!!

I have experienced mixed reviews at this animal hospital. I really wanted it to work out, however after doing a nail trim on my dog three weeks ago, we realized they did not trim her dewclaws which are super long. I called to see if we could drive by and have the two trimmed since they missed them. They told me, after putting me on hold for over five minutes to discuss with the doctor, that they would need to charge me $13, since it had been about three weeks. I was not asking for all of the nails to be trimmed, only the two they missed. The only reason we noticed it wasn't done, is she has been wearing her collar, which she normally doesn't. She has been getting her dewclaws caught in the collar when she scratches, and squeals with pain, and we have to help her unhook herself. This is ridiculous, and just the kind of things that always seem to happen with this animal hospital. Nothing major, but really not good customer service, and ridiculous to charge an on-going customer an additional $13 for something you missed in the first place. Recommendations for good vets in the area would be appreciated. They will not get another red cent from me.

Paid ~140 for a radiology consult because I was worried my cat had asthma. I've called multiple times asking for the results and after many weeks of waiting, the vet still hasn't called me with results.

It used to be great for several years after they first opened. Customer service, call backs, and general good business practice has gone downhill in recent years

I wanted to like this vet as they are close to where we live in town. I went in for bloody stool and came out with an antibiotic for ear infection, which it turned out my dog didn’t have. They didn’t even do blood work. I was told at the office that they couldn’t draw blood and then later on the phone was told they could. Don’t waste your time and your money going here.

Wish I could comment positively but my initial visit to this VET/El Segundo Animal Hospital was not a pleasant one. Had a confirmed appointment for 2pm but after checking-in I waited in the parking lot for 15 minutes before a representative appeared. The parking lot was empty so it was difficult to understand the delay. I was advised that I needed to complete their 3 page form which had been thoroughly completed and emailed to them 2 weeks prior. Had confirmation that the email was successfully transmitted....but I presented them with a completed hard copy of their 3 page form. Their representative did not make us (my daughter & me) feel welcome and did not explain the Covid protocol process. After they took our puppy to their facility I requested after a few minutes to have our puppy returned to us as I was able to make an appointment with a different VET. After retrieving our puppy and leaving I never heard from the ESAH Vet. One would think they would be interested in knowing why I was disappointed with their service?

Always friendly staff. Had our dogs in for grooming, they smell and feel great and nails clipped.

Horrible customer service & communication...no one calls you when they say they do, wait forever to pickup your dog. Its like the staff doesn't communicate with each other. Taking business elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst experience - My husband and I dropped off our dog for a physical exam which I was told would be quick (in which we could stay in our car and wait) - it took 1.5 hours instead. During this time (which they apologized there was an emergency going on) we saw Domino's delivery stop by and workers chatting in the parking lot. There was a point where I thought they forgot about us and our dog (which was in their facility somewhere). The Doctor called to tell us her findings and ultimately, could not confirm anything (skin rash? not sure, we have to send to the lab. Bumps on the nose? Not sure. Everything was not sure. I would think during some experience, she had seen other dogs and could come to at least one conclusion). Just not worth the frustration, time and energy in my opinion. Every one is so unorganized. It took 20 minutes to even pay the doctor visit. Not to mention, when I asked to have the results of the visit emailed to me, no one did (and when I called and spoke to the receptionist the first time, she even asked me if they had my email address on file?? Yes, I did write it on the paperwork I filled out so maybe check the system...). The second time I called a week later, they couldn't even locate me or my pet in the system. Terrible. Don't go.

We brought our dog here for a new patient appointment. It was so busy, they kept him for over 2.5 hours! When we asked for an explanation for the time, there was none. We saw 5 different technicians, no veterinarian, there was no personal attention or relationship building. I called a few days later to inquire as to whether that was an unusually busy day, or if that volume and wait time are typical, as we are new to the area. The receptionist assured me that it was not normal, and promised that the vet who saw my dog would call me to establish a relationship. I never received a call. If you want to build a relationship with a vet, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Very disappointed in this office. They have canceled our appointments twice without notice. When they finally saw our animal they billed us for blood tests but never followed up. It has been over a month now and we still dont know the results.

I took my dog here for our first visit today and I am so happy I found ESAH! Dr. Streiber is the best! He is caring, knowledgeable and funny. My dog loved him; he took his time allowing her to get comfortable with him which I really appreciate. Staff was nice. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly and thorough. The costs seemed to be lower/more affordable than VCA. As we all know, it can be difficult finding a good, trustworthy vet for our fur babies.

They cut up my baby multiple times while shaving her before her spay. If it takes longer for her to heal from the cuts than the actual spay.. not really a good sign. Didn’t even inform me of the incident when I picked her up from her procedure. Had to call and bring her in for them to give me cream to help heal her. They are great for shots/regular annual needs. Won’t be going back for any big procedures.

We've taken our cat there since we was very young, and everyone has taken care of him so nicely. Just the best care every time. This should be your vet office!

I am disappointed to be writing this review because I've been taking my 10 year-old Havanese to this vet since he was a puppy (and Dr. Streiber opened his practice). My dog was quite ill and diagnosed with cancer by an emergency vet while we were out of town this past week. I needed answers to questions as euthanasia was one option raised by the emergency vet. Dr. Streiber failed to return my calls and email. Fortunately, I found a new vet who made time for us over the weekend and may have saved my dog's life. If you are looking for a professional who will be there in your time of need, go elsewhere. P.S. This is in no way a reflection on Iris at the front desk who was a true professional throughout the situation.

Always helpful and friendly. They do their best to not take all my money when my dog is sick. They love my dog and take great care of him. Stacy is a healer and someone I wish I could be.

I want to send out a shout out to El Segundo Animal Hospital. I was coming from an expensive large veterinarian hospital without positive results. I was leery of going to a new place but finally made a special appointment to interview Dr. Striber, just cus I'm that particular:) I can't express enough how impressed I am and glad I found them. They are truly a dedicated and passionate group of people. Greeting my lil girl, Valentina, with such love and care is so welcoming to my heart Valentina is 14 years old with an array of health issues. Each time we go she is given the ultimate care. Dr. Striber, Stacy and his team really take the time to give her the care Valentina needs, which are quite a few:( I have seen them go over and beyond their call of duty and is truly amazing and touching in so many ways. As I have been in the waiting area, I have witnessed kindness and tenderness to these babies knowing how sick they are. It awhs me just to see this. Little story...I had an incident where I was neglectful of my little girl's stitches and Dr. Striber came in on his day off to attend us. If that isn't dedicated; what is! As sick as my baby girl has been, I have continually seen the effort they put in to make her feel better. She is on the right track and is feeling wonderful. I am thrilled I found them and will continue to go there as long as they are around. I am immensely grateful to this team. They are truly awesome!! My only regret is they don't treat humans; but here again we, humans, are a different breed. I'm quite sure animals are easier to deal with:) My sincere gratitude. Love you guys.

Love this vet! Dr. Strieber and his team are nice, thorough and never try overselling you on procedures etc... My last vet clinic kept trying to convince me to run tests even though my dog was about to DIE from cancer. Everything was always vague, no opinions, nothing other than trying to rack that bill up higher. So glad my two other pups are here now. A huge difference from my last vet in a very good way. Praying it stays that way.
