We came in to, unfortunately, put my Aunt's dog to sleep. After 13 years, Bella developed cancer and was suffering greatly. The doctor and staff were very professional and allowed us to say our goodbyes for as long as we wanted.

First let me say I'm not one to write reviews. That said, I felt compelled to let people know this place is very overpriced. Over 800.00 for an x-ray on a puppy. This was on her leg/knee. I made an appointment this was not an emergency situation. The quote was between 400. and 800. The curb side drop off was also a big turn off for me as my pup was already super stressed and was mot happy going with a stranger. After the x-ray I got a call from the clinic explaining her diagnoses. My pup has a very common condition that occurs is her breed when they grow too quickly. She told me she would send home pain pills (carprofen) to help her cope with the pain. I explained that I given those to her and she had terrible diarrhea and was up all night with her. When my husband picked her up via curbside he was given 60 carprofen. That's right sixty. Right there on the label it says (discontinue use and call if vomiting or diarrhea is noted) These people obviously didn't care about my poor pup. I would never return unless they were the last option available.

Our frenchie decided to try to swallow too much of a digestible nylabone and it got lodged in her throat. After calling three emergency vets, Insight said to come in. We probably waited a total of less than 5min in the parking lot before Destiny came out and helped us. She was very professional and made sure our fur-baby was safe. Yes, they are a little pushy about the $50 parvo test, but I get it...this is an emergency vet, all kind of dogs with all kind of issues come through the door. Prices were reasonable and on par with other emergency vets visits we've had over the years. Very happy with the service.

Hi I brought my beloved furrbabie of 19 years in to these Angels back in August, as my regular vet was not open at 2 am. Sadly she in her last few years developed Thyroid issues, Wich she was on medication for eventually, took it's toll on her organs, her eye sight was failing, her kidneys also. Then that fateful morning she was not breathing well. I knew this was going to be the HARDEST day for me.???????????????????????? But it was time to send my baby on her journey to kitty heaven ???????????? The staff here were the BEST at explaining everything. They even sent me her ???? prints and a lovely sympathy card and made sure all the discussed arrangements were in order for her. I definitely recommend them for anyone with ailing furrbabies or especially emergencies!!!

While in town for a horse show in Rancho Murieta, my senior Boxer came down with some leg swelling. Dr Whalen took the time to run multiple diagnostics over the course of 2 nights- and while sadly, it was our time to say goodbye, she was able to get us enough time for my husband and daughter to drive down from Portland, OR so we could say goodbye as a family. From the Dr., to the front desk staff, to the vet techs and even on to the cremation service, the entire situation was handled with a level of genuine care and commitment to the animal that I have rarely come across in small animal medicine. Thank you, Dr Whalen and the entire Insight team for a job well done. The McGuire Family & Charlie

I highly recommend this vet. We had an emergency with our cat and they saw him immediately. Unfortunately he is no longer with us but they were so kind and caring. We even started taking our other animals there. My Guinea Pig love it there.

My pet went into seizures late on a Sunday night. I called 7 hospitals would not see him they said they were booked. A few were extremely rude. Insight was amazing from the doctors to the staff. My furbaby was there 2 days. They continued to call with updates. Didn't mind me calling no matter if was 1am. You will not be disappointed.

I brought our dog in at 9:30pm after she had a fall and broke her leg. The staff was prompt, patient, and friendly. Dr. Wallen did her intake and also called me the next morning to provide updates. Despite having worked all night she was incredibly kind and patient, answering all my questions in a manner that I could understand. The techs and receptionists were also very friendly and called in to check in on our pup even after she had left. I had a great experience and trusted the care that was provided.

Excellent Vet care and grooming at the day spa. Very caring and compassionate when we had our long time companion relieved of his pain and suffering.

Absolutely disgusting. Kayla (the shift lead) was extremely unprofessional. Kayla raised her voice at us several times when we were trying to discuss our concerns. The office had misquoted us - confirmed that they misquoted us and tried to charge us an additional $248. While we were explaining the situation Kayla spoke over us repeatedly. Kayla then said she wouldn’t speak with me because I was mistaken and didn’t know. As Kayla continued her disrespectful behavior throughout the phone call - I grew increasingly frustrated and just agreed to make the payment so we could end the discussion. Kayla then raised her voice even louder and said she wasn’t going to deal with me being rude. All the while, she was speaking over both myself and my mom and treating us as though we were too incompetent to understand - even though she verified there was miscommunication on their end. After she raised her voice at me, I asked “do you have an owner or someone higher than you that I can speak to about this?” And she laughed at me and said “did you seriously just ask if I have an owner?” I recorded the entire conversation, and Let’s note, the whole ordeal is over a pet we had to euthanize - so it was already a hard situation. Kayla was extremely disrespectful, condescending, and then laughed after she created such tense frustration. I would not trust this clinic with any future pet, and warn others to be careful about surprise charges from them.

I have twice needed to use Insight Veterninary Wellness for the most decision. The staff and doctors explained what was happening and validated the painful decision that needed to be made. In both situations, I felt comforted and knew we were in good hands. A week after needing to put our 15 year old girl (dog) down, we received the most precious gift from the staff. Inside the sweet sympathy card was our girls paw print. Something that might be second nature to them, feels like I still have a part of our girl.

DO NOT take you dog here for grooming unless you want a non styled buzz cut. We have a golden doodle. You know the one that looks like a big fluffy teddy? We’ll look below and you can see there idea of a teddy bear cut. Horrible experience and just shocked and not even having a dog that looks like my dog anymore. Look elsewhere for grooming.

These people rock. Everyone was super friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about their work. I called around a dozen places today hoping to get an urgent appointment for a tooth abscess on small exotic mammal, not a single other place was able to see him within a reasonable amount of time. Insight was able to get me in within a few hours. They took their time assessing our critter, and let us know what our options were. There were no hidden fees, and the techs kept us updated every step of the way. I cannot recommend Insight enough, especially for small exotics!

I am thankful to have this pet hospital for my dog. I live by South Sac and I called Meller, Vista, All creatures ...animal emergency hospital around n non of them can take my dog tonight (either said they don't have space for my dog, have to wait for 8-10hr to seen, or not taking anymore patients). Lucky when I called insight they willing to squeeze my pet in, I told them I will arrive within 40min and when I arrived there was no wait time and gave us first attention. My dog is in a bad condition n Dr. able to gave her immediate checkout and do her surgery. There was no wait time for me and stuff service walk out to us once I give them a call when I got to the parking lot. Dr. also came out to see me by my car explain the my dog's condition and surgery process. By the way all this happen around 2am and I am very thankful they can provide my immediately care and service. The best experience in veterinary hospital i have never had.

I contacted six veterinary hospitals for a critical pet emergency. All turned me down except Insight. Although they didn't have an endoscope necessary to treat, they provided x-rays to prove the problem and a referral to a hospital that saved my pets life. I thank Insight for helping me to save my pet. I recommend them for their helpful ways and recommend they purchase an endoscope.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! These people are horrible, I brought my 4 month old dog in for rough breathing and they administered 3 medicines but decided to only tell me 2 of what they gave because they knew they messed up. They killed my sweet dog and tried to cover it up. Also used completely improper medicine as another vet called and told me what they should’ve done AFTER SPEAKING WITH THIS PLACE. An absolute joke and they try to cover it up. If you want your pet to live, take them elsewhere. The doctor was supposed to be monitoring him in the oxygen room while I went to get the money to pay for it. I get back and the doctor told me he had one of his “techs”, if they even know what they are doing, look at him and he was fine, check on him and he was fine and then he went in there maybe 30 minutes later and he was gone. I urge everyone to truly research places before you go as this doctor has only been working for 6 months so he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. It was doctor stevens. They don’t seem to care about your pets, the whole time they just call u and talk about money. It’s truly sad that they cared more about money than a life. Don’t trust this place they just want to make money.

I’m not sure how you consider yourself an emergency clinic when your response on answering the phone is the wait time. A true emergency clinic would first triage the nature of the emergency not quote a wait time first that was clearly designed to encourage me to go elsewhere.

The staff & Dr were wonderful!!! Very great experience, very friendly and attentive to my dog. He had a piece of a bone stuck in his colon and they were able to make my dog comfortable and hydrated and he passed it in a few hours. I got to pick him up earlier than planned. Highly recommend, if I have an emergency in the future, I will be coming back to Insight. Wonderful experience!!!!

Due to covid, we weren't allowed inside the building. They were prompt and right to the point. On-site lab means you get results fast. The vet came out and explained test results with us. Still waiting for the results on my cat. Said they will call on Tuesday.

Havent even picked up my pup yet but this place is well deserving of 5 stars. Very well organized and when I say things are hectic, the hospital was still well organized and the employees maintain constant communication with customers. They care as much as we do!

I was in a hurry to get out of town for a few weeks when my dog became sick and we called at least four clinics and they were all too busy but the insight clinic in El dorado hills saw my dog as an emergency and saved her life

I brought my senior Chihuahua here for emergency services on the recommendation of my regular vet’s office, as they were totally booked and unable to accommodate an emergency. The office was so caring and informative. Every staff member I spoke with was incredibly professional and I could not have asked for better care. I know that things are challenging right now in all aspects of healthcare, and veterinary care hasn’t been spared the stresses of the pandemic. I am so appreciative of this office for being there when I needed them and taking such great care of my dog.

Anyone who has a pet that is in need of attention that you can not provide would understand that it needs attention NOW!!! They understand that. I can't give them the praise that they deserve.

My 16 year old beagle was attacked by some kind of wild animal around midnight in Placerville. They're not the closest but they are the ONLY! emergency vet in all of El Dorado County. The girls there Sam and Taylor were very kind and understanding of the situation and the panic I was dealing with. We got there as soon as we could but she was in pretty bad shape. We could have done the surgeries needed but the vet was 100% honest with us (which is so genuine and uncommon). They let us know that due to her age there could have been tons of complications and she would be in immense pain afterwards. So sadly we made the decision to send her to heaven. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because they had her remains for about 2 weeks and never informed me of it. I provided my telephone number and email. Got nothing.. I am still very please with the gals here. Thank you guys very much. ????

This was the best vet I've ever been to. They were quick with everything and they truly care about your thoughts and care about your pets. Unfortunately we had to put my babygirl down because she was so sick. They made it as easy as possible for me and my family during that time. We were not rushed with anything. They ended up sending me a symphany card with all the vets that worked with my kitty. They are so thoughtful and I highly recommend them over any other vet. They were amazing.
