Save a hound! Adopted 5 of them over the past 12 years. The best rescue animal. Must stay indoors and require a family or a pack like environment. We work from home so they're the perfect fit for us. Not a watch dog. They're lazy dogs and great around our 15 lb 1.5 y.o. new terrier we rescued 9 months ago. GAC's been life savers for so many Grey's found terribly sick, abused, injured physically and emotionally. They've given so much meaning and purpose to the need for animal rescue. Please rescue and stay away from the pet store dogs and breeder mills.

I've adopted 3 greyhounds from GAC! They are amazing! There is a screening process, and a home visit, and they really want to adopt the greyhounds to great homes and people. Some people don't make the cut, and that could result in some of these negative reviews, but GAC has the greyhounds' best interest in mind. Other local groups have many returns or are quick to adopt before free of parasites, and that is hard on the dog and other unaware dog owners out in public. GAC tries to find forever homes for their dogs. Staff and volunteers are amazing! Greyhounds are amazing, too!

Wow! I can not recommend this place enough. What an amazing facility that does so much for these wonderful dogs. We have had two greyhounds from here and look forward to more in the future! Greyhounds are incredibly LOW energy and are the easiest breed to own. Highly recommend both the breed and this wonderful facility.

I've adopted 2 dogs from GCA over the years. The center gives these dogs a second chance at life. The facility is very clean and the staff and volunteers take excellent care of the dogs while they wait for adoption.

FIVE STAR! ..Unless you're a rabbit, in which case it's one star LOL. Place is filled with friendly Greyhounds so pretty cool!

The staff & volunteers at GAC do a fantastic job at caring for and assessing these wonderful dogs to ready them for their forever homes. We are so lucky to have gotten our beautiful girl Aero (nee Sallie) from here. We highly recommend GAC!

I plan to adopt a greyhound, and spread the word for others to try to do the same because once they are retired from racing (aka raking in the money!!!), they are killed. This is worse than inhumane!!!!!!

Food is good, just not enough outlets around here

Cool but where can I get information on how a big of a place I would need to keep a dog of this size ?

My wife and I were so impressed with the care and knowledge displayed by the volunteers. All of the Greyhounds were special in their own way.

It's a wonderful place to find a companion. Amazing, loving well behaved and well trained pets that need a home... also it's one of the cleanest rescues I've ever been to.

GAC is the most amazing pet adoption facility I've ever been to. These wonderful people love and care for the greyhounds more than I've ever seen. I got my beautiful fur baby Molly from them. She was the absolute love of my life. They picked out the perfect dog to show me and I fell in love immediately! They also teach you how to care for your new greyhound, better than any other facility. My placement person was always there for me if I had questions or freaked out because this was all new to me and I was an overprotective mom. Even when Molly passed and went to the Rainbow Bridge, GAC was there for me to help pay for some of the tests before I had to let her go. They paid for her cremation and the beautiful cedar box her ashes came in. I will forever be grateful to them for bringing the most incredible gift into my life, my sweet, loving, wonderful, Greyhound, Molly!

A wonderfully organized facility that helps to facilitate this awesome breed with his/her furever humans. This organization rescues greyhounds globally and remains centric to their mission of saving the lives of these animals while maintaining the highest quality of life. All staff members and volunteers I encountered at open house seemed so focused on the ????, kind hearted, easy to approach and talk to.

Wonderful rescue group! Brought home sweet Lucy, a 5 year old Greyhound. Well cared for during her time at GAC .. and ready for a forever home. Good job !

Loving, kind, compassionate people who focus on recovery of racing Greyhounds. This is heaven for these magnificent dogs.

Says they are open 7 days 9-5 I'm here, it's sunday @ 9:35 am, i wang to donate towels...... No one is here, drove 20 min to get here. Someone else will get them.

Greyhound Adoption Center is a loving place that cares for Greyhounds when the racing industry tosses them aside. They pick the dogs up, take them back to the center where they are checked out, evaluated, medicated and/or repaired. They then rehabilitate them, profile them, and find their forever home. We personally have adopted 5 greyhounds from them. There is an adoption process, at the same time, well worth it when you get your forever furry friend healthy, happy, and ready to come to your home to be the couch potato they are meant to be.
