My cat was diagnosed with cancer, but the few oncologists near me were booked almost 2 months out. Sage was able to get me in in less than 48 hours from contacting them via their website. I drove 2 hours to see them and they were worth every mile. They started him on treatment the very same visit. They are all so kind and the doctor was very informative and patient. Considering this is cancer, I think their rates are very reasonable, and they came in under the lower estimate. You know I must be happy with them because I'm sitting out in their parking lot typing this review while waiting for AAA because my car battery decided this was a good day to die. So...yes...totally happy with how I was treated on my first visit with Sage.

My dog came in with a 3 inch cut in her hip and I was lucky enough to get her in for an emergency surgery. I was greeted after a phone call with a very sweet vet assistant who took my dog with her tail wagging. 6 hours later and I had …

My mother brought her chihuahua here due to a bad reaction to a shot for fleas. She was treated horribly and so was her dog. The elderly dog was offered no water, no walk to relieve herself. The recommendation was to just let her die. They brought her out to my mother in the rain with no blanket or cover that my mother had provided. I should preface this with the fact that this was the emergency staff on duty at night. I am not sure what the staff is like during the day. Horrible and no empathy what so ever. The staff member that acted so deplorable should be terminated and never deal with animals or humans.

Dr. Frankle and staff were very kind and helpful with treating my cat. She listened to my concerns and considered my cat’s prior history in addition to diagnostics that day. Every staff member I interacted with was courteous.

Avoid this place, worst experience, unfortunately there are very few options we have as a pet owner. May be some new facilities will open and we will stop taking our pets here for emergencies.

I brought my cat to Sage emergency hospital with an injury on his rail. I was told that I have to pay $ 2500 just for the diagnosis! I left. Next day the cat got better by himself. I am sure the vet knew that from the beginning but still wanted to perform all the unnecessary exams and tests to get the money out of me. Shame!

We love all of the Sage centers! For this instance, we were referred by our primary vet to the Dublin location to see a GI specialist for our Rottie puppy's digestive issues. The team was so sweet and compassionate with our big boy, Mack. Dr. Borys took the time to run through her examination with us thoroughly, and give us advice and insights on how to keep Mack's digestive system happy and healthy. Luckily, she didn't find anything major going on but she gave us peace of mind and really great resources to contribute to the future well being of our pup. Thank you to the team at Sage for a great experience- would highly recommend this location to everyone!

I can't recommend SAGE in Dublin more highly. An urgent care vet is obviously not the place anyone wants to be, but they are so compassionate, thorough in explaining diagnostic and treatment options and responsive; I wish we could have them as our primary care provider.

Another emergency weekend visit to SAGE. Thank goodness for SAGE. Best care available anywhere. Sharp staff, great communication, brilliant specialists. Costs more but to be expected for emergency off-hours excellent treatment. We couldn’t be comfortable having all the animals we have without access to these extraordinary vets. Thank you, again!!!

If you have have an emergency please DON’T come here. Our dog ate some onion, we searched for nearest er and drove to here. The door is closed and a staff came out told us we should dial the number, then they will let us in. We stayed on the call for a couple of minutes, but NO ONE answered that call. We had to go to another ER nearby which let us in immediately.

I have two cats being treated for cancer at Dublin Sage since 2019. Dr. Bennett took over for Dr. Barrett in 2020. Both of them were kind, compassionate and skilled. Dr Bennett's perspective towards & knowledge about my cats' conditions have made me feel a partner in their treatment plans. Although these are heartbreaking situations, working with her makes it manageable. I only want to allow these kitties to live out their lives comfortably, nothing else. I feel like I can do that with her in charge. Plus, it is just nice to talk to her. You don't always get that in an oncologist.

Have used the Sage Veterinary services in Dublin on more than one occasion. Every time I have my pet and I were treated with true concern and compassion. Excellent staff. I am so grateful this service is available to pet lovers. Thank you!

Everyone I’ve interacted with here is so extremely kind and compassionate. They helped me through the end of my cat’s life with such love and empathy, going so far as to get supplies to help me take a paw print after he passed. When my tripod cat needed a specialized surgery they were also so knowledgable and caring and got her back to 100% in no time!

My 14 year old dog had a terrible reaction to some medicine and needed emergency services. SAGE did an EXCELLENT job taking care of him. The Drs. and nurses were kind, caring, patient, understanding, communicated well, and helped me and my dog through a difficult time. I'm FOREVER thankful for the team's help in getting my dog better and home for snuggles. If I'm in need of emergency services again, I will DEFINITELY take my pet(s) to SAGE!

I took my 8 month old puppy to Sage in Dublin after he had been bitten/stung by something in the yard. The poor dog broke out in hives, tried to rub his head on a the couches and ultimately settled down in the kitchen while crying. I took him to Sage and he was given medication to help his allergic reaction and he came home several hours later. My older dog had also been treated at Sage in Redwood City for an infected dog bite twice (he was attacked two different times). It is always miserable taking a pet in for emergency care, but I appreciate the people at Sage for their help with my dogs. I love you guys, but I hope that I won’t be back to the doggie ER.

We are so grateful to SAGE for their compassionate care and utmost professionalism in our time of need. Our dog needed emergency care late Saturday night and they were the only emergency vet that could fit him in quickly. It was a lengthy process but we left several hours later with piece of mind and an action plan. When his condition worsened, we returned to SAGE the following day and received thoughtful care from the vets and nurses who continued to treat him. During the time we spent waiting outside, we witnessed other pet parents with critical situations receive their care, putting everything into perspective. SAGE is there to support pets who desperately need the highest levels of care. Now we are home with our dog who is much healthier and happier and we have a plan in place for recovery. I'm definitely impressed with SAGE and while I hope we nor others will need future emergency care, if we are you do, I would call SAGE.

The stuck is in a small box they called “Privet Room” for 3 and half hour for the doctor to come out and say a surgeon is needed and they can’t do anything about. Still charged full price

The staff here were very friendly and helpful when my cat was constipated and her vet was full. They offered me guidance the entire way and were happy to explain each step of the process from what options my cat had medically, to how much each procedure would cost. Thank you!

I have had dogs all my life and have lived in the tri-Valley area for 45 years when Sage arrived in Dublin and I needed the best of the best they were that go to people. They are incredibly professional and qualified, love you Sage!

We called about 15 vets/emergency hospitals today because our dog sniffed up a foxtail. Everyone was at capacity but we were lucky enough to be referred to Sage in Dublin. It was quite a trip from Emeryville but we were so happy with our experience here. They took such great care of our very anxious pandemic dog. He seemed very comfortable with them and even came out walking on a leash like nothing happened to him after being sedated. They were able to get the foxtail out of his nose and found an old one in his ear. They gave us a range for the procedure and we were prepared for it to come up near the high end of the quote but it surprisingly was on the low end of their range. Their rates seem reasonable and we were very happy that they took us in on short notice. We would very much recommend Sage in Dublin and we will be bringing our dogs here in the future for emergencies.

DO NOT COME HERE. We had an absolutely horrible experience with this center and will be warning friends and family to not come here. We took our cat here on Saturday for emergency care as he was not eating. You are only allowed to communicate with them via phone, and you will be on hold for 10-20 minutes EACH TIME you call. We were told the wait would be 1.5- 3 hours to be seen. It was a 90 degree day and we did not want to stay in a hot car with our pet. We left briefly and on our way back, we were called to be seen- well under even the 90 minute waiting period we were told. We were rudely chastised by the receptionist for leaving the parking lot, and were told we couldn't even answer the intake questions over the phone because we were not physically in the parking lot. Again, you can only communicate with this center by phone as they do not allow pet parents into the building right now due to COVID (which is totally fine- but don't keep people on hold for 15+ minutes!). So we called back five minutes later once we were in the lot and were told we were bumped down the queue since we had left the lot. If you want folks to stay in your parking lot for three hours on a 90+ degree day, YOU SHOULD TELL THEM THAT! It took about two hours for our pet to be seen. We lingered in their parking lot again for an additional TWO hours because they FORGOT to call us and let us know our pet was ready to be discharged. Every person we spoke to on the phone was short with us, to the brink of rudeness. After being there for SEVEN HOURS, we were charged $1300 and told that they couldn't find anything wrong with our pet. $1300 for NO ANSWERS or recommendations, and our pet was WORSE off than when we arrived. We were not given any medication or suggestions as to how to make him eat. They also gave him such a bad shaving job on his arm and stomach that I'm concerned about his skin. Their only recommendation was to feed him "bland food" which completely missed the point of why we took our pet in- he wasn't eating! Our pet was physically and emotionally distressed due to this visit, and so were we, with the lack of updates and care given by SAGE. I'm extremely upset by the lack of care and empathy SAGE Dublin exhibited on Saturday and will be telling people about our horrible experience. We went to a different vet two days later and were told our cat has PANCREAITIS, which can be a life threatening condition. SAGE had the audacity to call us and see how our pet was doing after the different vet had called them to ask for records. Performative, fake phone call. SAGE does not care about your pets wellbeing or your time. They only want to make money. Do not come here, I cannot stress this enough!

My heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Lucas and the staff at Sage in Dublin. After waking up fine this morning, my dear Abby cat suddenly went into convulsions, which I wrongly thought was poisoning. Rushed her to Dublin where they quickly determined very low blood sugar, probably brought on by a tumor or some other brain condition. Not much chance other than making her suffer for days while many tests were run which would probably lead to the same end. The doctor clearly explained the situation and options, and I chose to euthanize her. They could not have been kinder or more compassionate. Thank you for being there for her.

When the tech at our normal vet saw what Sage did to our dog she looked like she'd just seen a ghost, and our vet nearly accused us of animal abuse before we explained what happened. They (Sage) initially treated our dog for a bite wound but did it so poorly it almost immediately became necrotic. When we returned with concerns about the wound their next vet either didn't notice the overwhelming smell of rotting flesh or attempted to cover for the original doctor. Her take was that he may have a liver issue, and the necrotic neck bite wound was just a coincidence. It's both astonishing and disturbing how far down the list patient care is for this den of incompetence. I would not let this facility remove a band-aide.

I took my cat in as she was having bladder issues. My regular vet treated her a couple of weeks ago but she relapsed and couldn't pee. Since they were closing when I called they said to take her to emergency. Called Sage and they said to bring her in and call when I got there. After I got there, about 5:10pm on Saturday, and checked her in over the phone, it took an hour for them to see her. They never told me there the wait would be that long so we just sat in the car. When the doctor finally examined her and called me, she rattled off a list of things she recommended, (medicine, x-rays, blood/urine tests) to the tune of over $1000. I said to just give her enough medicine for a day and I would take her back to her regular vet. When I went to check her out it was well over $300, $168 being the office visit, $110 for one medicine plus a 2nd medicine, which I can't remember the price of. I was shocked and expressed it. The doctor gave me a discount to just under $300. I verified that I was only getting enough medicine for Sunday as I already had an appointment for Monday morning with her vet and they said it was only enough to get me through a couple of days. I paid the bill and went home. The time spent there was 2 hours, with 30 minutes just waiting to get my cat back. The bill was supposed to be emailed but still haven't received it and it's the next morning. Never going back.

We have used a local private practice vet for years, but when our dog died on a Sunday morning we had nowhere else to go. I honestly expected indifferent service from a chain this size, but instead the staff was very sympathetic and helpful. I’m so glad they were there when we needed them, and I will probably go back when we have another dog.
