I have taken my dogs there for the last 17 years! They are all great people and truly care about every animal that comes through their doors.

Great staff! Really sweet and affectionate with my cat for her appointment. Vaccines were given very quickly. They also have a staff pet of their own that's very friendly too!

Found this veterinary by chance due to COVID-19. Our previous veterinary hospital was booked out for almost 3 weeks, unless I wanted to pay for urgent care rates. Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital had an appointment available for us 2 days after I called. This place is small. Two exam rooms. We have been here twice in June. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They provide you with costs before they do anything. They also help prioritize what treatments are necessary (must dos) when you may get overwhelmed and cannot make a decision. Their fees are reasonable. Dr Nick took the time to explain what my dog had in person and via email. We will be back since my old girl has been diagnosed with chronic heart issues. You are able to take your pet prescription (written Rx) to be fulfilled at Costco (pet meds) if you ask. However, Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital will not call in your pet Rx into Costco or to another third party pet pharmacy for you. You have to take your written Rx and drive to it or mail it in the written prescription. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Awesome ???? only came here because it was on my insurance. But boy am I glad it was. They are very friendly and thorough and great with my dog. I have a geriatric dog with quite a few problems. They really take their time to make sure he's comfortable.

My mom has been bringing her elderly dog to Blackhawk for over a year for everything from nail trimming, immunizations to making sure she is not sick and even removing a eye! The entire staff is extremely professional, has great communication and has been wonderful with my mom who has dementia. I would highly recommend this vet hospital and am very thankful for their help over the last year.

If I could give less than one star I would, they decided without my permission to do tests on my senior dog when i came to pick him up after treatment for an ear infection i was faced with a biopsy invoice for over $600 when i balked at not paying since they had nto sent the biopsy in yet they removed that portion of the bill but still charged me for taking the biopsy. I have been in this fight to get it removed from my bill but nobody will do that so I switched to Bishop Ranch Veterinary and they are off the charts wonderful...amazing what a different attitude try Bishop Ranch first they are the best.

Rufus has been going here for 8 years. The doctors and staff treat him with better care than most human doctors. They keep good tabs on what he needs. Thank you, Blackhawk Vets!!

Dr. Bricaud and his staff are excellent. I have a 10yr old Italian Mastiff and Dr. Bricaud has taken care of him his whole life. His front desk staff are very accommodating with my hectic schedule.
