We have used Dr. Dowd at Tassajara Vet Clinic for many years. We have had greyhounds for over 15 years and she also had a greyhound, so we were confident that she was very familiar with the various quirks of the breed. She and the excellent staff have always taken great care of our fur kids. They also take pride in their treatment of staff including a 401K plan and good pay.

We go there with 2 dogs and our kitty. We've seen all of the vets at some point and find them honest, reasonable, and responsive.

I love this vet! They have done everything they can for every one of our animals. I love their service and their attention to details. One of my dogs is not a fan of the vet, they're very professional on making sure my dog was safe and everyone around him was safe as well.

I recently became a new client during Covid-19, and even with the restrictions, Tassajara Vet & Dr. Johnson still provided excellent services for my ChiPom, Marley. I was kept well informed throughout Marley's visit as well as when he went in for deep teeth cleaning.

We our new parents of our French bulldog Draxx, born on may 25th. After asking around on multiple social media platforms and weighing out the pros and cons, Tassajara Vet was my top choice! I've been bringing Draxx since July. Through these tough times dealing with Covid-19, they seem to have figured a safe process to get everyone's fur babies taken care of. All their staff are friendly. I've had Draxx checked by Dr. Miller and Johnson, and I have nothing negative to say about them. They are very professional and have no problems answering any concerns or questions. The front desk staff are amazing as well and welcome your fur-baby with utmost care! Although I've never been to any other vet before, I may not be as credible, however, my experience with Tassajara Vet has been nothing short of awesome! Take my word for it.

I have a giant house rabbit named Clarence, who needs to be seen by a vet with bunny experience: number one, because he's a bun, and number two, because exotics have different needs than your typical cat or dog. My bun has a chronic eye problem that my fave, close-to-home vet, had previously diagnosed as untreatable, but I wanted a second opinion, (since you have to be your own advocate with medical stuff in life, but he has no voice.... except, of course, when he sings me the song of his people, in the middle of the night, by stomping his gigantic bun feet on the wood floor). I hear you bun. I hear you. Anyhow, Dr. Dowd was outstanding and she/her team did an exceptional job cleaning his exceptionally dirty ears. I think he's really too big to get his own feet into his ear and do it himself, and I do my best but it freaks me out getting out giant chunks of bunny ear wax. My last vet ear cleaning was so much money I'm embarrassed I didn't ask if they accidentally added a zero at the end of the bill - since that ear cleaning by itself was more expensive the my initial exam AND ear cleaning at Tassajara, they are my new go-to. Dr. Dowd spoke on the phone with us before returning Mr. Rabbit and she wasn't rushed with her explanations, or condescending about his diet/exercise regime. She explained some typical causes of eye issues with buns, but said my baby doesn't have impacted teeth or any other obvious condition that would cause his watery eyes (confirmed: untreatable). It's just something I have to help him with, as I have been. I wash his face daily, which neither of us love. She recommended that he eat less dry cat food, and confirmed he's just really fat and it's not a giant tumor growing around his whole body. Which was both good and bad news at the same time. We loved her and the front office staff and we'll be back for follow-up visits with the bun, even though the cat will remain at our home vet in Concord, since we love them too.

I've visited this place both as a client and behind the scenes as a vet tech student and can honestly say you'll never meet a kinder group of people so invested in your animals. They take special care of patients, and also treat small animals. They are reasonable with pricing and diligent in their care.

My three dogs love the staff and are treated with upmost respect. The care from the Vet and Techs is worth coming back for. Plus they will explain things to you multiple times if need be.

I followed Dr. Tami Pierce here. I highly recommend her for her smart, patient, kind, common sense manner. The front desk staff are friendly at this suburban veterinary and prices are reasonable.

Rocky may not always enjoy going there but they take awesome care of him! Their prices are pretty reasonable, they are open on weekends, and can usually be seen last-minute. Great vet!
