We're very thankful and appreciative of the doctor's and staff at ironhorse very care. They worked very hard saving our 2 year old Husky/German Shepard mix who had ingested a toxic mushroom. They gave us continuous updates about care and our dog's condition and really helped us through a tough time. Highly recommended!

I reached out to iron horse vet care on Friday because my dog collapsed in the kitchen. They were able to fit me in right away and saw Bruna immediately. My dog was unfortunately diagnosed with a brain tumor; they provided her with …

We were refered to IronHorse to take care of an urgent issue with our pet. They were responsive thoughtful flexible. They followed up with us frequently and were very careful with their treatments. We were very happy with them. I trust their judgement and recommendations. Thank You Very Much for your excellent care ❤

My pet has been seen at Ironhorse twice now. She is a very nervous little girl and the staff is always patient and gentle with her. I will always trust all of my pets emergency care with Ironhorse and their caring, exceptional staff.

Had a pretty good scare with my dog who has heart issues, we rushed him in late one evening and the staff was very kind and accommodating. They took our calls and gave us regular updates on our little guy, and never acted like it was a burden for them. Very happy with the overall service from Iron Horse!

It was early morning, New Year’s Day. My pup had been increasingly miserable for the prior 2 nights, but New Year’s Eve saw her panting and whining all night long. In the wee small hours of Jan 1st, she was shaking her head so violently she was knocking herself over. There was no way she could wait for non-emergency hours. By 6AM, I’d called three different area ERs. All had wait times of 7-10(!) hours. Thankfully someone suggested IronHorse. I’d taken my other pup here years prior for behavioral issues and had forgotten they are a 24/7 facility. Wait time was less than an hour and they were SO sweet to my little gal. Got her right as rain, didn’t charge me a fortune, and forwarded records to both her regular vets. Godsend! <3<3<3 Thanks for making sure 2022 started out right! We are all very grateful. 5 stars. A+++++

We took our pet here for the first time and ER doctor called us several times to lecture us about killing him. Never taking our pet there. You dum* woman we are paying you to save our pets life and do your job. If you can't then do not accept patience. We are not paying you to get lecture.

We spent a total of 8hrs over 3 days waiting to have our pet taken into the facility. After 3.5 hrs on one day we had to leave because our pet wasn't seen at all, and was going to be at least 2 more hrs ! Heaven forbid you leave, or you'll lose your spot. So you'd better bring food and drinks to prepare for a long wait! Oh and the excuse...no kennels, and a "contamination". They're clearly not equipped for very many pets. A 30mn procedure shouldn't wait that long! Critical and emergencies should definitely take priority, but if they were more organized they could be a better hospital.

IronHorse VetCare has been a true godsend for us in our time of need. Dr. McBride, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Tseng have made an excellent team to treat our dog after a traumatic accident by providing quality medical care, emotional attention and clear communication about her situation. While I wish our plight on no one, this team truly saved our dear pup's life and is a champion of our hearts.

Iron Horse in Dublin helped me with my cat, Bear. He had to have 2 surgeries and due to Covid, I could not be there to see him. Liz C was amazing and kept me updated on how he was doing and sent pictures so I could see his cute face. It really helped me get through the time he had to be there. Thank you Liz!

have be en a customer there before several times, but the last visit turned into tragedy for my poor elderly dog. I am so traumatized by the turn of events that led to the death of my sweet girl, 16 1/2 years old. My dog had renal disease and threw up the day before. I couldn't find her fluids, I saw declining fast, so I too her to Iron Horse for fluids. She also has a pacemaker, blind, and hip surgeries. This is a very frail elderly dog. I took the very best care of her since her stroke and cancer diagnosis, only to be euthanized against my wishes by Dr. Rader. She misrepresented information to steer me into euthanasia. We came in for supportive care for my dog. I was very clear that I wanted my sweet girl to pass away peacefully at home. I told Dr. Rader that I had in home euthanasia veterinarian service lined up if needed. I also said my first choice is to have her pass peacefully. Dr. Rader was at the end of her shift and wanted to it over with. So is started the euthanasia process without my presence. My poor baby was wheeled on a gurney already heavily sedated. With the pacemaker, there was no chance to reverse it. I think they also gave her too much subQ for someone with a pacemaker. My sweet girl was about to die anyways, but Dr.Rader wanted to make the extra money off of us, and inject the last dose. She had the nerve to tell me she used an extra strong solution. After I questioned Dr. Rader a week later about what happened, she backtracked the comments that led me to believe my dog was bleeding internally. Dr. Rader said that for next dog, I should request, what hospice calls a Comfort Kit. This is a kit to help put dogs in a twilight state to pass peacefully at home. My question is, why didn't she offer this to me after instead of euthanizing my dog? I was unaware of a Comfort Kit, but after talking to a pet hospice service, it is an injectable sedative and painkiller. This could have been discussed with and administered to my dog. I will never forgive Dr. Rader for robbing the opportunity to properly say goodbye to my girl. My baby didn't deserve to die such an undignified death. She came out with 2 catheters in her. I was horrified and broken down. The owner of hospital has not followed up after I left a message with the manager over a week ago. I am appalled and disgusted at the deceit and cruelty to me and my best friend. Words can not describe my heartbreak and grief. Please take your beloved companion somewhere else.

They responded very quickly and were very informative. Our dog had accidentally eaten 4 large pieces of Popeyes chicken with bones. We panicked and brought her in - they checked her out quickly and explained that cooked chicken bones for a larger dog (she’s about 35-40 lbs) was not as bad as uncooked bones which can have shards splinter off (surprise!). The person who came out to our car had a great manner and was patient with all our clarifying questions .

My cat had an emergency visit late night on a Saturday at IronHorse VetCare. They answered phone calls very quickly, which is extremely important in situations like this. They were also very thorough during the whole process - asking a lot of questions, listening to my concerns patiently and explaining in great details. They were also empathetic and compassionate to what I was going through. What impressed me the most is that after the visit, they sent me an email with a thorough discharge summary and then took the time to call and follow up again on my cat two days later! They truly cared so here I am, writing a review despite a few deadlines :) Thank you again, for being there to offer help and comfort.

Ironhorse went above and beyond in the care of our Hank. Through a double TPLO the pre, during, and post care exceeded expectations. The whole staff got to know Hank and truly cared for him. The head nurse even contacted me directly and gave me her personal cell - she checked on Hank often and guided me through his recovery. I was a nervous wreck going into it and Ironhorse really put me at ease. Not to mention - because of Hank's rescue situation - they worked with our rescue foundation to offer fundraising and a discount all to get Hank right again and give him the chance he deserves at living a full life. I highly recommend Ironhorse!

New puppies , problems with blood clotting time. Took them to Ironhorse Vet and Dr. Perez did their surgeries for spay/neuter. The ENTIRE staff was amazing, loving, kind and I knew my babies were in good hands. The incision locations were healed and looked spectacular in a matter of a week..I was impressed and very pleased with not only their attitude and professionalism but also the sincere concern they had for me and for my babies. From Renee to all the girls ,,to Dr. Perez…I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making sure my little Yorkies came home safe and sound. My only regret is that Ironhorse is an emergency clinic for specialties only and that they do not do routine vet practice .

Dr. Wignall performed a cystotomy on my girl and did an amazing job. The procedure was high risk for her, and Dr. Wignall took every precaution available to ensure that she was safe during the surgery. His expertise and level of care was excellent and I would trust only him for any future surgical needs. I was recommended Dr. Wignall by my primary care vet at a different practice by asking her who would she most trust to do surgery on her dogs in the area. Without hesitation she answered either Dr. Wignall or Dr. Haburjak. So glad I followed her recommendation!

I have a lot of praise for the staff. They kept me informed and answered all of my questions with patience and compassion. My only criticism is that when they suggested an ultrasound, I thought I would book an appointment but they don't have any idea when the tech will be there so I have to leave my already sick and depressed dog there from early morning until the tech shows up. This is cruel. She's going to be away from home, in a crate, already sick. Idk why the techs and Ironhorse can't get a schedule for them.

My dog's surgery went well and the doctor was very responsive and informative. The nursing staff is fairly worthless. Every time I went it was a 20+ minute wait to be helped because they were doing rounds, particularly one time when I waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes just to pick up my dog because they forgot I was there. I was clued in that their rounds were done when I saw a nurse leave, drive to the grocery store, and return with snacks 15 minutes later. The nurses seem like they're just phoning it in and going through the motions every time I'm there, and clearly snacks are more important than customers.

Immediately responded and saved our Yorkies from food poisoning. Very friendly and professional staff. Extremely busy so periodically hard to communicate with. Not cheap but definitely better than the competition.

Their website says that they are "Open 24/7 - 365 - For Emergencies." They're most definitely NOT. I had called for an extremely ill cat. They sent me forms, which I filled out and sent back. I asked for the best time to come, as I didn't want my cat to sit in a cold, dark car for hours, waiting. They said early morning, I arrived at 4am. I parked, called, and was told that they weren't accepting any more emergency patients. They suggested I go elsewhere. Thank god for Sage which, thankfully, is just a block away. I'd never been to IronHorse before. I'll never go back.

My poor kitten was extremely lethargic and had a high temp. I was recommended to take him here for overnight observation/fluids and I’m glad I did. They were so informative and pleasant. Reception, techs, and vet were amazing! Their forms were so convenient to fill out, and they gave me a lot on information sheets about my baby’s time with them. I was so worried about him, but I felt good knowing he was in good hands. Thankfully, his temp went down and he was eating again. I was able to take him home sooner than expected, and was refunded for unused services. I highly recommend this place!

I initially dropped off my dog to a nice and welcoming staff who told us that there would be an hour to an hour and a half wait time for her to be seen. As a concerned owner, I trusted that these people would care for my pet. Over five hours later, my hungry and anxious dog is STILL in a kennel and still hasn’t been seen by a vet. Despite of my frustration, I called the nurse only one time politely asking for an update on my dog and she acted so shocked that I called which was hella weird and lowkey rude. I understand that because it is an emergency room, there will be pets in more critical condition, so either hire more staff, or give the owners more realistic wait times.

I really can’t say enough. The staff is exceptional and continue to work so hard to make sure we are taken care of. I feel completely at ease when I get chance to speak with staff face to face!! Thank you, Renee McComb! You are fabulous!! Keep up the good work! Sincerely, insane 4 Danes!!

#Review UPDATE 3-18-2021# The below is comment from Ironhorse r/e why they decided to release Apollo on Feb 13, and thought he was doing well... ""Admittedly when we have cats in their cages, generally resting, it's harder to know their strength levels (unlike dogs when we can take them for a walk)."" as a normal pet owner if your pet did not eat for 2+ days, can not stand up (even in the cage) along with a dark/pink swollen area where the catheter placed, is it very basic sign or knowledge he/she is NOT doing well? How a vetcare professional not think so? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We lost beloved cat – Apollo in Feb, we adopted him 6 years ago, he is three-legged cat due to a car accident. The following is quick summary what happened to him in Ironhorse, I truly believe his death is due to mismanagement or careless, not due to complications of catheterization. He was in way worse condition before, could still had a very happy life after. * Jan 26th, We took Apollo to Ironhorse, because of urine blockage, a catheter was placed to unblock it. 2 days later, he was released, we did notice a small pink swollen area where the catheter was, a few days later, it went away... * Feb 11th, Apollo got blocked again, we came back, same process, unblocking... This time, someone noticed an even big swollen area, but did not really know what to do... saying it will go away. He was released after 48 hours. This time, when I took him home around midnight on Feb 13, he was so weak, he could not even walk, could not eat. We don't understand how Ironhorse could release him in that condition. We had to rush him back in 5 hrs on Feb 14th early morning. * Feb 14th, catheter was put back, we were told Dr will need to do surgery to help him. * Feb 15th, surgery was done well? * Feb 16th, his heart stopped... We have provided more details on Apollo from Ironhorse, we are discussing this with other professionals to see if there are any options we have to stand up for our family member – Apollo.
