My small dog has stayed overnight a few times now with good results. The staff are attentive and caring. He'll return again in February when we take our next vacation.

We have a 11 month old berenese and she has been going to Linda, Beth and the staff at uppity ever since we got her. She loves to play with her friends and as sad as it sounds she never wants to leave ???? . My dog is well taken care of and loved and its a relief to not worry while I am at work.

Our dog loves going here. We have tried others locally he gets tine to run around and does not sit in a crate. If dogs need a break they have a nice play pen or even a play pen with a leather couch

We boarded our dogs here for a weekend and I figured that would have left a bad taste in their mouth- but when I brought them back for doggy daycare they DRAGGED me inside as fast as they could. They LOVE going to Uppity Pup and they always come home exhausted and HAPPY. Before Uppity Pup I struggled to find time to exercise my dogs and I am so blessed to have found the them. The only downside is they don't have daycare Monday through Wednesday :( I took our dogs to another daycare in Shingle Springs and they came home shaking and crying and THIRSTY. Go to Uppity Pup- they are a godsend.

Great place to board your dog. I have left my dogs there for up to three weeks and never had a problem.

Our Goldendoodle loves the place and perks up when we get close. He gets in the large corral with the retrievers and shepherds and they have a great time, running around. .

Awesome facility. Everyone here genuinely loves the dogs, been around to other boarding/daycare kennels in the area and I will tell you that none of them are what they may seem to be, if you're looking for genuity and honesty it's no where else then this mom and pop place. If you want your dog to be in good hands while you're away bring them to uppity pup!

My dogs did not receive any of their meds while staying there for 4 days. They did not answer any of my calls made to check on my animals well being. My dogs were neglected and came home with dirarea for weeks. Terrible place and dirty with unfriendly staff.

The people that work there are very nice. Dogs are separated by size and temperament.

We boarded our dog here for 2 days/1 night while whitewater rafting in the area. We felt very misled. Our rescue pup is half pit bull and half other things. We had a long conversation with a worker guy here about her play style and told him her breed when we made the reservation. I also sent in the paperwork and her medical records in advance. We were assured that she would get to play with other dogs. We reiterated her play style when we dropped her off and were assured that all was good and the dogs' play was supervised. Then when we picked her up a different older woman told us that our dog didn't even get to play with other dogs at all b/c she was half partially pit bull. Apparently, she only got one-on-one time with humans but never got to play with anyone. If this is the place's policy, they should have told us that when we made the booking or dropped her off and continued to talk to them about play time. Not led us to believe she was getting play time or at least a chance to take a temperament test and see if she got along with the others in boarding. Yet another example of unfounded pit bull discrimination in California. It's fine if that's he facility's policy..that's their choice. But I just wished they would have told us and not made it a surprise at pick up. If we knew this policy, we would have looked for another boarding facility b/c our pup deserves at least a chance to play. A generous 3 stars only since it seems that she was fed properly and returned to us with no injuries and the price is good for the area .

My two border collies have stay with this company the past couple of years. I had always wondered if they played with the other dogs. Several times the would be caged and they were always thirsty and had to pee as soon as I picked them up. I didn't bring them much last year because I was a bit concerned. I called two days ago to schedule them for doggie daycare this sat and sun. I was told that beginning this sat they now open at 9 and not 8am but was assured that they would work with me. I drove my 4hours to Placerville and setup for Apple Hill season and then went to Uppity Pup to get paperwork handled. This is when they informed me that I would have to be there before 7:45am when people went to work and if I didn't make before they went inside and closed the doors, I would be out of luck. Stranded. I asked if I could meet them at 8:30am and would be at the door. I was told "no". So what am I going to do now? I live four hours away and can't just drive them home. I would not recommend this company to anyone. To speak with me on the phone before and knowing I'm heading to Placerville, and say they would work with me and then change their mind after I show up.... they don't truly care about dogs. They don't care that my dogs will be sitting in a van all day for two days. I am sad that I ever sent business their way. I will shed many tears over this. No one should ever have to deal with a situation like this. Rather concerning.

This place is fantastic! We heard about it from a friend and now we only use them. Great pricing and caring people. The dogs get quality play time everyday and pet owners can leave very specific care instructions for their animals knowing that they will be followed.

I had my dog there a couple times . He seemed happy when i would pick him up. The next time i went to pick him up i didn't see him in the play area with all the other dogs. But i heard dogs barking in the back kennel area. They told me the kennels were for boarding only or if dogs are agressive. The guy went to retrieve my dog and what do you know...he brings him out from kennels . Said he was barking too much so they put him in there. Yea cuz sticking him in a concrete floored lonely cage is guna keep him quiet. He just wanted to play with someone. I asked how long he was in there and the guy didn't know. Said he was in there when he got there. That could have been all day. That was the last time i went there. I guess just depends on who's working. Or volunteering i should say. Watch out for your dog if you make them there.
