I was referred to this place by a person in a bird group. I have no regrets. They have taken excellent care of my baby and he is on the mend. I would drive 1-2 hours to get here from my home any day just to ensure my baby is well taken care of!

I'm so grateful for this place. My mom's cat, Garfield had an eye emergency and they cleared a spot on their already full schedule to see him. Mom is on a fixed income and they were very good itemizing the costs and providing economical options. The office is clean and friendly. Julie was very helpful at orchestrating the who thing. Thank you Chaparral. We have a much happier cat and mom can still buy groceries! Happy Holidays Everyone!

The doctors are amazing here. Their service and experience is the best. The staff is outstanding and I applaud them. I was there when a "customer" was complaining and treating the employees poorly. I'm sorry they can't diagnose your dog by looking at it and not have to do blood work. All the staff stayed very professional even though this person could not. Hope they see this think about their poor attitude

Dr. McDowell is an incredible vet. She is conservative in her approach. The animals respond to her, because she is so gentle and speaks to them. She is a cross between Dr Doolittle and Mary Poppins. We appreciate how she treats our pets and us.

I have a rat that needs a teeth trim (he is old and his teeth don't meet in the middle so one grows up into his head and the other around his cheek) and this is the only exotics place around for a while. I took him in before and it was a quick less than 10 minute thing, no vet needed. If I was rating on just that appointment it would be 5 stars because the staff is great but the problem is.. Unlike a nail trim, teeth enable you to eat and rodents grow teeth very fast. It is going to take 3 weeks to be seen by someone, I couldn't get the lady I was talking to care.. In short there's a real risk of my rat starving to death but if I needed to euthanize him, I could have appointment within the next few days. Delightful.

This place is awesome! The people are great, especially the doctors. The whole staff is friendly and treat the animals with respect and do everything in their power to make them comfortable. They are knowledgeable in every type of animal and if they come across something they haven't encountered, they will research it and say, bring it on. I miss them!

Very nice and kind. Lady at the front desk answered whatever questions I had without attitude. They were a bit behind schedule. So I had to wait a little for my bunny to get seen. But they apologizes several times. It happens. They just seemed very kind to me.

The vet here is amazing and the office staff is SO nice. They have been amazing with all of our pets we have taken in. Had to take in this little guy, Artemis, and the vet caught his cold (respiratory infection) right away..

Great caring Doctors and staff. Had to take my Lovebird in for an emergency and after a couple of nights of care, he was back to his old self again. Thank you Chaparral Pet Hospital!!

I got my older male cat in for an emergency visit when he suddeny developed severe balance issues, almost certain that he was dying. They diagnosed him with general ataxia, then recommended a neurologist for further treatment. They also provided him with IV fluids, did a follow-up visit the next day to assess his progress, and upon my request, provided additional food to supplement his diet while he's dealing with this (I wanted to be able to feed him via syringe if he wouldn't eat on his own). He's already doing better, and my husband and I are so relieved, and thrilled with the compassion with which they took care of our sweet boy!

If you have exotics this is the place for you! I have been bringing my animals here for years, reasonable on fees and very caring of all animals. They've seen my dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles and birds.

They have been so kind to me..A month ago I brought in an injured rabbit that they so kindly took and helped. Monday I took in a baby squirrel that I found on the Claremont Loop and they offered to take care of him for me. As much as I wanted to try and keep him I know they are more experienced and will be better equipped to keep him alive.. Thank you fom the bottom of my heart..????

My daughter got her first pet, a hamster. We thought he had mites since he was scratching and had hair loss. The Vet and other staff were very professional and friendly. Our little Juboo did not have mites, but we needed to know for sure. They trimmed him nails as well. The visit was not cheap at $68, but what is peace of mind worth?

I just had my rabbit neutered here. I was nervous, but the staff made me feel confident that he was in good hands. So far he is doing well. ????

We have been going to CPH since 1986 when we moved to the Claremont area. They have been kind and caring to all of our animals over the years. They have taken care of our dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and rabbit. They are very professional but with compassion.

I took my chameleon with a prolapsed hemipenis and they fixed it real fast... it came out the next morning, but they ended up amputating it and now hes great! They only charged me and visit fee! This place is definitely recommended!

Chaparral pet hospital is the friendliest most caring veterinarian I have ever used and I currently have 26 animals. The entire staff cares about the animals like they are their own. Most of them like I have many animals of their own. On top of that their pricing is far better than any other I've been to in the last 5 years. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you chaparral pet hospital for taking care of all my crazy animals.

The staff at Chaparral have done an excellent job taking care of our rabbit. Recently she needed her tooth cut. Seems like major surgery for such a little animal but she was her old Jumper self by the next day. Thanks:)

The 1 star rating has nothing to do with the veterinarian, but rather with their customer service reps answering their phones. Extremely rude. Had to hang up on the woman who was obviously frustrated she has to answer calls.
