I've had my dogs there for over 10 years. Great staff and vets. My dogs have always gotten great care. Highly recommended.

My dog was seen through out his life by South Bay Veterinary. Today was his last visit, the visit everyone dreads. Although a painful event for my family and I, the staff was extremely kind, accommodating, and understanding. They euthanized our beloved LowLow in the most humane way possible. South Bay Veterinary thank you for helping my baby throughout his life ????

I was given a horrable appointment time 615pm . .It was dark and the facility is poorly lit. Many of the staff were leaving when I arrived. The road that i drove in was a run down,, dirty, filled with huge, dangerous, pot holes. The property is very poorly maintained. The prices are outrageously high.

Called in for a last minute appointment because my dog was not feeling well and they took me in the same day and helped me examine her and gave her meds and the very same night she was back to herself! Personnel was very friendly! Every time I have any problems with my doggies I can always count on them!

I can't say enough positive things about this place. My 16 year old cat started showing signs of not feeling well so I opted to take her in on my first day off. I called numerous places throughout South Bay to no avail whether it was scheduling issues, or her lack of recent vaccines, etc. etc. South Bay Vet Hospital was not only extremely accomodating but also very understanding. They didn't judge that I hadn't taken her to the vet in several years (she is healthy and HATES to travel). They were gentle yet thorough with my cat and attentive to her medical needs as well as my needs as a pet parent. They were educational, provided time and space for me to ask clarifying questions and developed a plan tailored to my cat's needs. I appreciated that they were upfront about their fees, ensuring the cost was known ahead of any action and they were never once pushy about any of the services. I will continue to come here with my pet and am so grateful to have found this place! Every person, clerical, nurse and vet, were truly there to help us tend to our pet with the utmost care.

South Bay Vet clinicians and staff have treated me and my big pooch very professionally and with compassion. They take time to listen to my concerns, educate me on what I can do to provide Beau with successful living and habits, and accommodate when needed. They treat Beau how I would like to be treated when I see my physicians. Healthcare is not cheap but you also can't put a price on life.

South Bay Veterinary Hospital took good care of my two cats during the pandemic with professionalism. Scheduling appointments online was very easy. The staff is always friendly. Vets are straight without all the upsell games. I have no complaints so far.

Nope, I had an appointment at 6:10, I got there on time and waited more than 40 minutes to go talk to the vet, I really wanted to leave but I didn't and I feel like that was a huge mistake because they didn't really examine my dog or something, it was just a quick chat, and some questions about my dog, and guess what got charged 55 dlls just because of that. Lol I don't think I will go back because service in general sucks! So be careful if you have a doubt because it is expensive.

Great experience !! ♥️we brought our Mini Australian Shepard today. We had an amazing Nurse her name is Yadira - she took all the time to answer every question, she is very knowledgeable and caring. The Doctor and Staff are A class too. Grateful we brought our PuPpy here. Thank you guys you are all awesome! ???? 1038 Broadway in Chula Vista .

worst veterinary hospital to exist, they are absolutely horrible here. they are a rip off, not educated, just want money and do not care about your pets, they do not do what you request when you take your pet in, and have absolutely horrible service. not to mention every time we have had an APPOINTMENT they have made us wait at least an hour and a half to even get our pet. sometimes up to 4 hours. save yourself the time and do not bring your pet here, it will be a decision you end up regretting.

They are so affordable and take really great care of my pets. I have had multiple surgeries for two of my dogs here and each time they have taken fantastic care of them. They never try to up me and are always honest about what is necessary. The hours are great also as they are open later than most vets.

This place sucks! It used to be good. Now its all about money money and money. Poor customer service. Shadyness. Go somewhere else. Trust me. Dont go to la mesa university hospital either since they are related and the vets work in both locations.

The first impressions to this facility was the hospital called to reschedule my appointment. That's fine, this should be okay, right? When I got there they have me wait for over an hour while they were obviously backed up knowing I have two kittens in the waiting area full of dogs. I left without being seen and wont be back. I like that they tried to keep the appointment however it would have been more professional to reschedule us.

I just adopted 2 kittens and the animal center provided a certificate for a free exam at multiple veterinary clinics. I found Southbay on their list of providers. I called Southbay to make an appointment. The lady that answered the phone was very friendly and professional. I informed her that I had a certificate for a free exam for my new kittens and would like to have their vaccinations done there also. She made me an appointment for 3 days later. I showed up for my appointment early so I could fill out paperwork and give them medical records. I gave the lady at the front my certificate with all of my paperwork. An hour after my appointment time I was called into the room where a new girl told me they don't except these certificates anymore. What? Since when? I made the appointment with it and checked in with it!? She informed me they stopped taking them a few weeks ago. And they couldn't have told me that upfront? Before I drove 30 minutes and sat over an hour with kittens in a carrier there. Waste of time and very unprofessional. Don't go here if you can find another place.

Be ready to have an appointment at 2 only to be helped at 3. Don't get me wrong they helped my dog and I'm very thankful for it but forgetting your clinets is troubling.

Is there a way to give this place 100 negative stars? I have been coming here for years. Although not all the doctors have been great, the customer service here and other doctors, not naming the main doctor, are really nice and great to work with. That being said yesterday I got home and I noticed my dog was DYING. I called this place since all his records are there and he has been going there for years. The front desk lady said that she needed to talk to the doctor first... then came back and directed me to go to the emergency hospital.... WHAT!!!???? So you are his regular vets and you don't want to see him. So if your regular family doctor doesn't want to see one of your family member who is dying because its an emergency and directs you to go to the a different hospital, how would you feel??? Also you would make me drive 20 mins further while my dog is dying then for me to go to your establishment which is 5 mins away........ not to mention that I have been SUPER PATIENT WITH YOUR ESTABLISHMENT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR TELEPHONE SERVICE AND THE WAY YOU HANDLE YOUR APPOINTMENTS. WHAT OTHER ESTABLISHMENT MAKES APPOINTMENTS AND TELLS YOU ONCE YOU CHECK IN THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN HOUR TO BE SEEN???During this whole pandemic your phone service and customer service SUCKS. I would call 15x in a row to finally have someone answer. Thats PATHETIC. Expect for me to go by your business and take every record my pets have from your establishment. I will NEVER come to this place again. O I forgot to mention my dog that I had for years, that was part of my family, DIED. All of this happened June 4th between 430-5. Thanks for making my tragedy that much better. You guys are the best... if you couldn't tell thats what we call sarcasm.... I put a picture on here to remind you guys which dog he was. Edit: so you responded to the telephone issue and the wait times but you overlooked the fact that my dog died... no condolences for that? And the fact that your doctor didn't even want to see him despite you being his vet and being only 5 minutes away... Thats the pathetic part....

This VET is in it for the money, has ZERO interest in your pets outcome. Offers surgeries under the table for less money, but he is not liable that way. Our pup Bruno died in the most painful way due to an under the table surgery he provided at a lesser cost.

yesterday I went cause my dog had an appointment at 10 on Sunday, well the point is that I had to leave cause I had to wait for an hour and 10 min which to me was a lot of waiting time even if there’s was a few people who had appointments before me or after me. well felt disappointed, frustrated also stressed and upset never going there again ! felt ignored and since the pandemic started i had to wait for a long time instead of waiting for just 30 min i would of been ok and would of stayed but I left cause they kept telling me were almost with you to take care of your dog for a few min while they put he’s shots but they didn’t they had me on hold still.. I’m going to a different veterinarian next time.. please don’t come to this vet anymore is not worth your time trust me..

After spending thousands of dollars here, I've decided to find a new vet. We've had countless bad experiences with doctors, front staff, booking, online ordering... On one instance, a doctor made my partner cry because of false medical analysis on our cat. Some of the staff are really nice and helpful but overall it's a train wreck.

I have nothing but gratitude for this place, they see a lot of pets on a daily basis and were able to see my dog for an emergent visit, pet bills are pricey anywhere you go but they actually charge very fair prices, they were very quick to get my dog in as well, i would like to say thank you to Letty and Dr. Laila.

Took my dog in to get checked paid over $1200 for tests that I never got results for. 4 months after the problem got worst and they finally had my results but told me I would need to do the tests all over again because they wouldn't be accurate now...... When they gave me my paper work some of it didn't even pertain to my dog it was for some one else dog if I wouldn't of caught it I would be leaving to the ER with another dogs results...... This place used to be so good idk what happened to it.

I have been using this veterinarian for many many years. I Absolutely adore Dr. Deo! He is an amazing skilled clinician BUT his office is ran into some trouble. They are now online and voicemails ONLY. They do not actively answer the phone. Wait what? Yes you heard me right. Voicemails go on answered, emails are a five day turnaround...appointment take longer, it seems they double book a lot. Parking lot wait times are in the 1 hour range. Very discouraging. I will have to go elsewhere for my animal needs.

Customer service here is terrible, especially when they answer the phone (if they ever do). Person answering the phone was rude.
