I had just moved to chico and at 1rst thought this kitty was a feral until I realized it was either lost or abandoned and worst of all it had been declawed! But the sweetest guy ever.I brought him into garage and fed him for a week trying to navigate the system here.No help.I and the kitty got lucky .The Chico hospital for cats staff stepped in to help me care for him as it was an unusual yet desperate situation and ended up finding his 4ever home!! They truly care.

They recently treated our cat for hyperthyroidism. They were very informative, friendly and responsive. If we lived closer (we're 2 hours away) we would make this our veterinary office.

Fantastic veterinary practice with friendly and extremely helpful staff! I brought one of my cats in for the iodine-131 treatment and they were informative of the whole process, made sure my cat was 100% healthy to go through the treatment, and they even provide web camera access to check in on your cat during their week-long stay. We've also brought two other cats in and they handled both with ease. We've made the decision to transfer to Chico Hospital for Cats as our primary vet for all 3 cats. I fully recommend them and we look forward to being long time customers!

Love how they treat my fur babies. They always go over all the prices and how it will affect my cat before selling me a product or procedure. Super sweet and kind people.

Love their staff. They were kind to my very shy kitty and were patient enough to earn his trust but were quick to see us. I'm not sure how fast their service would be with walk-ins because we had an appointment. They were also very good at explaining procedures and the breakdown of expenses.

A little pricey but if you want the best care for your cat with a welcoming environment this is the best place on Chico.

Dr. Vekman and her staff are absolutely amazing! They took the best care of my little boy, Brennen. When he was diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma at 11 months old, obviously I was completely devastated. But Dr. Vekman was there for me and him every step of the way. She and her staff never treated us like we were just another case, but more like family. Dr. Vekman and her crew comforted me in my time of grief when I had to say goodbye to my boy and for that I’m forever grateful!

I took my Feline in for a checkup, was happy until The vet had told me she needed oral surgery I was then handed a piece of paper showing the cost of the procedure. I then stated I will see if I could somehow find some financial assistance. About a week later spoke with somebody on the phone And I wanted to talk to the vet Who would perhaps do the procedure, How is tall the veterinarian was not in on that Day And they would have her call me back. It has now been over a month And no response. I put them in the same category as the VCA money grubbing pathetic Inter departmental Ignorance. The way I see it they are Utilising the pandemic and not letting the owner of the feline actually see any kind of true proof of Periodontal disease. Like another review said how about the money. I've decided to take my esa elsewhere

This is the warmest most compassionate veterinary hospital i have ever been involved with. I had taken my precious kitty Dixie to them for all of her health needs. They treated her as if she were their own. Dixie was a healthy kitty until the last year of her life when she developed kidney disease. I had to make a dreadful decision a month ago and she was put to sleep. They helped me through a very rough time and treated her with such love. She lived 18 years and part of that was made possible by their extraordinary health care. I will take every kitty that comes into my life to Chico Hospital for Cats. I suggest everyone do the same. I think you will be pleased.

Very nice staff. DMV was compassionate with our cats. They were prompt and we didn't even have to wait. Got into a room with all 4 of our cats right away. No sitting in the waiting room. Very reasonably priced. Overall awesome experience. thank you!

I took my cat to the Chico Hospital for Cats for the I-131 treatment for hyperthyroidism. Sam was super helpful, answered all of my questions, and was super responsive to emails. When you have to send your furbaby away for 5 days for treatment, it's scary, but the staff at Chico Hospital for Cats made a very scary time much less scary. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Nearly 6 months ago I took my cat Percy to Chico Hospital for Cats because of issues with vomiting and constipation. Everyone was incredibly nice and we had a great experience. Even after our first visit I knew that Chico Hospital for Cats was the right place for us. They ran tests and discovered that my cat was suffering from liver damage and a gallbladder infection. Since Percys condition was so severe, Dr. Vekman was assigned to our case. She did so much for us and never gave up on him. A month after Percy's initial diagnosis, we discovered that he was dying from lymphoma. Dr. Vekman did everything in her power to make Percy comfortable and give him as much time with us as possible. He lived much longer than we would have ever dreamed, and though his treatments we saw his amazing personality start to shine through again. But after 6 months of treatment, the cancer finally caught up to him. We put Percy down on July 22nd, and there is no one else in the world who we would have wanted to do it other than Dr. Vekman. Thank you so much to everyone at Chico Hospital for Cats, I can't express enough thanks for the extra time you gave us with our boy.

We took our elderly cat, Pepper, in for grooming. She had to be anesthetized in order to cut off thick and matted fur. The vet, Dr. Vekman, didn't mention a word about the risks, or the possibility of any danger. The cat never recovered from the anesthesia and died two days later. They charged us $1200 and didn't even offer an apology. This place is money-driven, uncaring, and inept. We took our cat in for a simple grooming and they killed her.

I cannot express how incredible my experience was with everyone here! I'm especially grateful to Sam. We were in constant contact about my kitty and he was always available, even when I was freaking out about something trivial! The amazing and gracious care for both my kitty and me was above and beyond anything I've experienced. We'll be eternally grateful!

I would recommend this Vet to every cat owner!! Because of COVID I have never met the Doctor only spoken with her via phone but really like her attitude and her recommendations!! It is alittle expensive for my budget but I find a way to take my kitties when they need medical attention!!

veterinarian owner herself was rude to customer after staff gave cat the wrong cut. First said that they dont do refunds and then offered credit. Thought they could trample just one little customer who had been loyal since 2007. Nope.
