The Barking Lot Cathedral City, California

I am from out of town and where I come from you do not treat people unprofessional. One of your girls said I could bring my dog in to wash him and in less than 10 minutes the other two "sorry we are on lunch and you have to bring him back. Very rude and unprofessional and I will never be back.

Took my frenchie for a self wash and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I was also able to do a deshedding treatment on the self wash, and they gave me a free Thanksgiving tie that made him look so adorable and ready for the holidays.

I did a self wash on one of my dogs and had a wash and tidy done on my other dog. They could not have been any nicer. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Both experiences although very different were exceptional. Katie did a fantastic job! I will definitely be back!

I have Chihuahua mix whom has servere anxiety and is very fearful. On my second visit I asked the girl not to use the grinder thing on him. Just to clip. She insisted he would be ok. They put a muzzle on him. He has never been muzzled before. This was my second visit and last. She would not listen to me and went ahead and used the grinder. He eventually went completely ballistic and insisted she stop. He messed himself and was screaming. The environment is not cohesive for my dog. It is too loud. And one male employee seems to be yelling at everyone. He talks very loud. I will not return there ever again. So listen to your customers when they advise you , they know there animals. You don't.

I have been going to the Barking Lot for the last several years. My service slowed through Covid but have been on a regular schedule again for the last six months. There seems to be an ownership change, or at least a management change recently. I used to have Boomer regularly but it seemed someone else has taken over his clients. This person has been a little pushy with advice and service. Giving me "advice" has been a little condescending. Telling me how often I should bring my animals in, is not a service I intended to receive. A monthly schedule has always worked for me in the past. Today I was given advice that was way off base and quite frankly, incorrect. I will be going to another groomer going forward. I hope to be able to meet up with Boomer at another local place. My dogs have always loved him.

I loved it! Great service, products and experience! I live more then an hour a way but ill be back.

Drove 25 minutes to get here only to find the door is locked several hours before they close, and nobody answers the phone.

Amazing staff, friendly, detailed and helpful! Grooming is amazing and they only keep your pet as long as they need to get the job done. Love this place!

It was my first visit and they trimmed my dog’s nails perfectly and the employees are extremely nice and welcoming, definitely my go to grooming place from now on!!

They are great with our dogs. Angus gets to be a little snippy at times (if not all the time) and they are very patient with him.

My happy pups are very anxious and yelpy and the staff and main groomer were patient and understanding, gave us tips on they're behavior for future visits, overall 5 star customer service despite these furry babies misbehavior!

They love their work, and it shows. My dog actually gets excited to see Monsa.

They take good care of my four legged sons. They are always in good hands when I drop them off. They do a great job grooming. I think the funniest thing is them giving my puppies blueberry facials! Hahaha. Too cute, but whatever works!

We are so happy to have found The Barking Lot for our Teddy Bear. He went in for a mani-pedi today and everything about it was great. We will gladly use this small, local business for all our dog's grooming needs and want to encourage others to give them a try. Much cheaper and far more personal than Petco or Petsmart. They have good Covid protocols in place. They made us feel very safe. Cash or check only, they can't afford to carry the card fees with the pandemic. Places like this need our support.

Went and used their self wash option- loved it and so did my dog. Well worth the money and the folks were lovely. Fyi bring cash- no cards currently.

4/17/20 Tonight ( 11 pm) i had pleasure of speaking with owner. They get a 10+! Working on disinfecting cleaning up his store so we and our babies are safe when he opens up again!! If your babies need cleaning , hair cuts after this I highly reccomend Barking Lot, Cathedral City! This was a year ago... The staff is very nice and understanding . Jay took very good care of our Reno.

Always a good experience - especially with covid. They accepted my dog at door, trimmed his nails and expressed glands as I waited in my car directly in front. Ziggy was ready within 15 minutes and at a very reasonable cost. Thank you again.

This is only one of a few self-wash dog wash facilities in the area and I am so glad I found it! Tom, the owner, was exceptional and patient while walking me through the steps to wash my giant pup. He went above and beyond to provide me with excellent customer service. I will DEFINITELY return with my giant Goldendoodle, Mr Darcy. Very clean establishment and very efficient set up for self washing.

Professional, kind, quick- love this place!

Had a great experience here! I used their self-wash services. They had everything I needed for my two dogs (pitbull and German short-haired pointer)and they were able to dremel their nails. I'm very grateful for this service and would recommend it to anyone!

I actually like the concept but watching that poor groomer trying to subdue my 8 pound Chiweenie was almost painful. It wasn't a successful visit.

Great staff and everything you need to wash any size pooch

The soap dispenses through the water nozzle like at a car wash, it was hard to get enough to work up a good lather. I'd bring my own in the future.
