Doc's has taken care of our animals for 19 years with compassion and due care. We recommend their office for your pet care. They love animals and it shows. The Staff is very knowledgeable and care is affordable. The doctors are dedicated to resolution of your pets health and will go the extra step with follow-up calls to monitor your pet's condition.

Doc's has always taken care of my pup (heeler mix going on 8 years now). A few months ago she needed her CCL (ACL) reconstructed and Dr. Dave and the vet techs did an amazing job with the surgery and after care. Dr. Dave called to check up on her on many occasions and has always been extremely thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Doc's- I am so thankful and appreciative of every person there.

My grandparents took their 18 year old chihuahua into Docs as she was having breathing issues. Docs should have indicated that their dog was old and at the end of her life and offered to give her medication to ease her pain. Instead they kept this poor dog for over 3 hours running up a bill of over $500 for unnecessary tests. They called my grandparents to pick her up and sent them in their way with some medication. Minutes after getting home their dog passed away which I'm inclined to believe was caused by the stress of all the tests. I believe Docs took advantage of an elderly couple and their love for their dog to issue a large uncalled for vet bill. My grandparents took their dog back the following morning to be cremated and specified they wanted an impression of her paw print. $200 and two and a half weeks later they finally get her ashes back with a very plain box and no paw print and all the lady at the front desk had to say was "at least we didn't charge you." I will never recommend this vet to anyone ever and suggest you don't take your animal here either. This was a very upsetting experience.

Horrible front desk staff, rude, uncaring, unprofessional. Dr Dave is nice, his wife is a narcissist who doesn't care about anyone. Do not take your pets here, 700 dollars spent still didn't know what the issue was.They only care about money.

i have been coming here for a long time. came in with my dog that needed to be looked at that day for her eye. came at 8.00 am and was treated rudely right off the go. would not give me the time of day.they tryed to refer me to reno vets. i left and went right to sierra veterinary hospital and was welcomed as a new clinet and got right in . i will not return and my family will not also.

We've been going here for 10 years, everything from Dogs to Guinea Pigs. They take great personal care and follow up extensively. I am just continuously impressed with their care and service. For once, it is worth the money to go to a business, and you don't feel remorse over not getting good service!

After having 2 of my cats seen and after about spending @$1,000 with no proper diagnosis and treatment, I highly recommend never taking your pet to Doc's. My 1 cat had crystals and a severe urinary tract infection. No resolution to that problem until I did more research and solved it myself. Next cat, took it in for a 1 year checkup with concerns about teeth and bad red gums along all teeth. The male veterinarian owner said, "He's too young to have gum disease." I took this cat 3 years later to another vet and the diagnosis is gum disease. So he has been suffering the last 3 years in pain and now needs extensive work via surgery. Shame on the Doc's vet for causing needless suffering to my 2 cats. I have a friend who also can't get her dog's health issue resolved after many visits to Doc's. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOY CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!

Dr Habler ... I've been bringing my dogs to you for a very long time. You amaze me with your knowledge...compassion...patience and calm demeanor. You have always had time to talk with me about my pets and have never rushed me in any situation. I frequently recommend you and your staff to other pet owners. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do. You are the best!!!

I have always found that the veterinarians and staff at DOC's veterinary hospital have been excellent. I recommend them highly. They have always provided superlative care to my animals. We are part-time residents in the area and we rely on the staff and veterinarians at DOCS to provide care for our animals. I can't say enough about the excellent care that they have provided our animals.

This place is a god sent. The owners Dave and Jeanine truly love their business and are 100% committed to every animal and owner that walk in their front door. I would travel all day just to go to this vet clinic. Their staff is well trained, super friendly and helpful. This clinic can help you with basic routine check-ups to serious in-house procedures, as well as certifications for international travel. Their prices are really reasonable. This place is the best of all Carson, Reno and Tahoe. Thank you!!!!

Brought a bird, cat and a few dogs here before. They listen to you and are affordable.

Very reasonably priced and everyone here is awesome! Everytime anything happens to my dog they get her in asap and they are awesome with her!

I have been taking my animals to Docs for the last 10 years. They can be a bit pricey but I feel it's worth it to have quality care for my babies. The staff has always been great. We love Dr Dave and Dr Alex is truly the sweetest vet I have ever had. Highly recommend them.

Have lived in Carson for 15yrs & won't take my animals anywhere else. They have seen us thru the loss of 5 pets. Not as good as they used to be. No longer send reminders of vaccines or when an appointment needs to be scheduled. Doctors are still caring.

If you love your pets DO Not take them here. They misdiagnosed my dog with parvo and tried to get me to put him down. I took my dog elsewhere for Parvo treatment and when they actually tested him properly it came back negative. My dog has never had symptoms of parvo and when confronted about it they acted like they did nothing wrong. Other vets have told me they didn't conduct the test properly because they are supposed to test the dog not the poop.

Thank you so much Dr. Alex and the staff at Docs for taking the time to assess and discuss best ways forward for my special needs kitty. The care and attention showed not just to me but to all who were in the practice on 5/6/16 is a blessing and balm to the animal lovers in the Carson City area.

Awesome! All the staff were friendly and understanding and took great care of my baby patch. The facility was clean. they had treats and were very understanding of him being a little nervous about being in a new environment. I could tell that they made him comfortable. They were affordable, they made sure everything was OK before sending him home and they even helped me load him in the vehicle when he was all done. Excellent staff and facility I will definitely be going back and recommending them to everyone I know! :)

First I just want to say I have never felt compelled to write a review about any place until today. To make a long story short I called DOCS in a panic because my cat got very ill very quickly and I didn't know what to do. The woman on the phone couldn't have been nicer and had me bring my girl in right away. The outlook was very grim and ultimately I made the gut wrenching decision to have her put down. Obviously I was a mess and crying uncontrollably. During the whole process several of the people there checked in on me regularly keeping me posted on the whole process. Once it was all over one of the staff was nice enough to let me stay in the closed off room while she processed everything for me, as there was a full house of people in the waiting room and she didn't want me to be uncomfortable since I was still crying. She then gave me a hug and let me know how sorry she was. Clearly this is a place that loves animals and their empathy is something I've never experienced at a vet before. This is the only place I will ever take my pets to.

HORRIBLE people. They run this scam - they will put you in an exam room, keep you there for 20 minutes, then tell you the cost of the exam will be three times what you have ever paid. If you try to leave, they will tell you you HAVE to pay for an office visit. OMG - I don't know how these horrible, greedy people sleep at night. SHAME on them.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at DOC'S. The took excellent care of my pup before, during, and after her spay. The good Doctor even followed up with a phone call the next day to see how she was feeling. I am so impressed, that I am going to use DOC'S for my son's pup for the same procedure. A big THANKS to everyone at DOC'S! :)

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. A friend recommended DOC's and I took my parrot there for a nail trim. The Doc was nice, efficient and the bill was very reasonable. Overall a very good experience.
