Best Friends Pet Hotel Carmichael, California

My dog gets excited to go see his friends at Best Friends Pet Hotel and when I pick him up he's really happy to see me, but doesn't seem desperate to leave. I trust that he's well taken care of and that helps me enjoy my time away.

No one answers the phone. If you go to their website to make a reservation for boarding, it’ll let you do it, send you an email with a confirmation. Then send you another email later cancelling your reservation because they don’t actually have any space. Why would you have a system that first tells the customer you have space, let them make plans based on that, then have an automated system tell them no never mind. Either answer your phone, or get a system that is actually able to see what your availability is. So dumb.

Love this place. They take pics of your pets and also offer grooming before pickup. My dog comes home happy every time

The staff is always friendly and courteous. My dog always seems happy after her visit to have her nails clipped and get a bath. Her canine spa treatment relaxes and makes her happy every time she goes.

I was disappointed because their website and marketing was outstanding but the facility is older and the small kennels smelled terrible. The ladies that worked there were very nice.

The woman that received us was disrespectful to me and my wife while filling up the paperwork and therefore inspired zero trust. She complained that part of my dog’s paper is in Spanish and claimed it as incomplete vaccinations even though I had already pointed that the Vaccination récord from California was in the last page of the documents. Followed by this, she continued to be very rude to me in the two other interactions we had.

So thoughtful and kind to animals.

My new puppy lovess BFPH. They care and want your pup to have the best experience. Aumira, my 4- legged-luv-pup never wants to leave. She comes home calm and way more chill also. Today she went to doggy day camp (in the photo). She's never been happier. So glad I found this place. ❤️

This is the best of the best! They take such great care of my dog. Staff is outstanding and knows how to take care of your fur babies. Always keeps you informed and what I like best are the trainers. Ever so patient with the owners who is actually getting trained! Dogs know what to do, its us that need to be trained. ????????

This was our first time ever boarding our dog. We were very pleased with everyone and everything about Best Friends. We also have a reservation for the middle of June. We will definitely refer this facility to our family and friends.

The service is great and the staff is friendly and responsive. My dog seems to be at ease every time I drop her off.

First time for us to board our German Shepherd and all went well. Love that the staff asked us all about what our dog likes and their genuine effort to accommodate our requests.

First time user. Staff was very personable and helpful. Group play went well. Had our dog groomed and they did an excellent job. Already booked for July vacation and will book again for another in August.

First off, good luck trying to get these people to answer the phone - it most always goes to voicemail; and the two messages I did leave, were not returned. If you finally do get a hold of someone for an appointment, hopefully the groomer (BRIANNE) won't forget her clippers or your appt will be reschedule. She did offer me an upgrade wash and when I brought my dog in for his new appointment, I mentioned it to the lady and she told me she didn't know anything about - not that I expected her too, but when I explained she seemed like I annoyed her. No biggy to pay full price, but it definitely gave me a bad feeling about leaving my baby. The lady did not allow me to speak with the groomer (like we always did in the past), because of COVID; so I passed along ONE simple thing - to not cut much off the whiskers. She completely shaved his whiskers down to nubs. Will never go back.

I have been taking our dogs to, first Kennar and now, Best Friends, for years. Extra friendly staff now and reasonable prices. I feel comfortable letting the lovely staff groom my dog. Thanks to everyone who is supporting this small business. Emailing the is an excellent way to keep in touch.

My Cat has medication, and while I went to help a family member who just got out of the hospital, I knew I didn't have to worry for one minute because Best Friends has caring and professional people to see to the needs of my "Best Guy."

They groomed our Persian cat and they were very professional and caring. Been going there for years

I boarded my cat here for a week while out of the country on vacation. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions and eased my concerns. The facility was nice and it was priced very affordably. I will definitely use them in the future.

Everytime I walk into the office I am greeted by friendly staff. My boxer has lots of energy and loves to come play at doggy day camp!!

I had a bad experience with this place. Would not use them again. They will tell you what you want to hear about your dogs stay but not the truth. No pictures were sent as I was told would be. No web cams to watch play time for my lab that I paid extra for. His new chew bone was not touched so I know they did not give it to him . I doubt they even let him out of his kennel to potty which is why he smelled like pee.

Have taken our dog there for years. They always take good care of her.

First time taking my Fur baby Capone and he LOVED IT!! Staff was friendly and helpful. This will be Capone me Hotel!!!

The client care at this location is impressive! I made a reservation for my doggo a few weeks ago but covid changed our plans forcing me to cancel our reservation. I emailed the team and they canceled, sent an email confirming they received my initial email, and then followed up to ensure I knew the reservation was canceled. They didn't need to take all the extra steps but they did and I appreciate them. The care I received just in this brief experience leads me to believe my pup will have a fantastic stay whenever covid allows. It's all in the small details. Thank you, guys!

Needed a place for fur baby in a hurry cause his usual "hotel" canceled cause of Corona, I was able to book his stay on line, very friendly staff. Will use Best Friends again!!
