Carol and the crew always been nothing but the best to us and our standard poodle. We only trust Salty Dog to groom our baby.

Angie the owner of Salty Dog has been grooming my precious baby for 5 years. I originally found her at a shop in Cardiff and when she opened her own Boutique I followed her. She is one of a kind. Excellent groomer, kind and loving. My boy cannot wait to get in the shop to see her and kisses her all doing his grooming. If you are lucky enough to have her groom your pet, you will be more than happy. Angie is an amazing professional and we miss her now that she is living and grooming in Alaska. The best of luck to you Angie, you are missed.

Imposible to get and appointment at salty dog. I move to CA in Dec 2018 my first stop for grooming my dog was Salty dog. When I got there they told me I have to call and schedule and appointment the customer service then was leaking of respect at least that was my impresión after awhile a decided to try one more time I call and no answer I decide to check the reviews and the reviews are100% accurate. and you can see that on the respond of the owner on the reviews

Spoke with a Tina! Very rude and unprofessional! Could not resolve an issue with appointment. Unfortunately for this boutique being a 5 star, the management was completely rude about the situation. I don’t recommend! For future new clients!

Salty Dog is the best! I've been taking my Keeshond there since he was a pup- he loves the staff (Hi, Carol and Angie!), and always comes home looking fantastic. We do regular appointments, they take fantastic care of my boy. Highly recommend!

I loved this place at first. Then, I noticed after Angie could no longer help with the grooming, due to an injury, she seemed less inclined to please the customer. If I’m paying for an upscale groomer, I don’t think It’s out of line to call and ask them to trim a part they had overlooked on my dogs neck. It literally would’ve only taken 5 minutes! To be fair, she did reimburse me the whole amount I had paid. She said, I was too picky, and should go elsewhere. I’m still baffled. I guess she doesn’t like customers critiquing her work. When I pay 75.00 plus a 20% tip, get home and immediately call requesting them to fix my dogs hair ... I believe that’s not asking too much. I

Just stopped by to see if we could get. Pups haircut......guess u need to call first for appointment and price....." Upscale salon" i was told and she wasnt able to quote prices......customer service at its best!!

Amazing Job on my mini Aussies! They came back smelling fresh for days and clean! Thank you for getting us in last minute especially juggling a toddler and a newborn to get these babies cleaned and tidy.

They do a great job grooming and they are fast but lately they've had scheduling issues. They were texting availability between appointments but 6 weeks have gone by and still nothing. Found another great groomer with online scheduling.

If you want your pet to be pampered and handled with the up most care, I stand behind and recommend this groomer!! They are pretty busy so get any appointment and schedule a head. It's worth it.

Followed Tina here from her old establishment and am so happy. She does the best job on my little, old dog. He’s getting up in his years and isn’t the friendliest but he goes in to see Tina with his tail wagging and comes out so cute and fresh. He has dry skin so I always opt for the spa mask and it really helps with his itching. Highly recommend Tina.

I have been going to these groomers for years, following them from Cardiff to Carlsbad- I am so happy that they are in Carlsbad now! So convenient and fantastic! They are gentle and kind always!

I took my 1 year old cat to Salty Dog for a brush out and nail trim. They were so great with her, I expected bit of a fight out of my cat as it was her 1st time being groomed, but she was completely calm and I owe that to the awesome treatment they showed her. Pricing was awesome, flexible schedule to meet my needs. I referrred my friend and she took her pup the same week, she was extremely pleased with them as well! Definitely recommend them!

This place is awesome! I used to get very nervous about taking Gigi to get groomed. Now that I go to Salty Dog I feel confident that they will treat Gigi as well as I would.
