We didn't use David or Performance... because we didn't have to.... BUT, we have nothing but praise for the time we spent at this facility. First, of the numerous places I contacted and interviewed, Performance was the only one to offer a free in-person consultation. We were possibly going to spend a good chunk of change here, so I appreciated the hour he spent meeting my dog, myself, and my husband. Second, David was beyond honest about what he could provide (training), what my dog needed (enforcement of training, not the training itself), and if our dog were to work with him, what the results would look like. He brought out a couple of his dogs to get a good read on where my dog was with behavior and manners and provided feedback to my handling that would allow for a clearer message to be sent to my dog to achieve the desired result. The good: my dog is already trained (ie, he KNOWS what he is supposed to do). The bad: I need to be better about consistency and enforcement (ie, he DOES what he is supposed to do), which was not something David could provide for us. I appreciated his honesty, his feedback and recommendations, and that while he couldn't provide us a service, he gave us a full hour of pointers, recommendations, and lessons on how to reinforce the hard work we already put in and what were reasonable expectations for our dog. Though I am not currently going to use him for this dog, I will be keeping him in mind for future dogs of mine and would recommend him to others.

We have a Rottweiler who is very skittish and does not like new people. She is very strong and active, and non-obedient at the time. When we would take her for walks, she would lunge at people who made eye contact with her. She would drag us when walking her. We moved into a neighborhood with lots of kids and got worried she may bite someone. We found K9 training. She was very aggressive towards the owner as he couldn’t even get out of his chair when we did the orientation. By the time we picked her up she was able to do commands that we were unable to do. She is very easy to walk, listens to commands, she is still a little skittish to new people but that is okay as we can manager her. When we water the front yard and forget to close the front door, she won’t leave the house unless she is told to. We are very pleased with the service from K9 training and would definitely recommend them. It was well worth the money. We can tell she was treated well and were sent pictures and texts of her progress. Our dog is our world, and we are impressed on how well she listens.

Recently, my wife signed our 10-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, Lily, up for boarding/obedience training with Performance K9. David, our trainer, is an amazing person and it is clear that he really is able to connect with the dogs in order to get them properly trained up. David took the time necessary to explain the process to us from our first interaction, through dropping off our sensitive girl, to a full debriefing upon picking up the dog. Already, I can tell you that the results are absolutely amazing! Lily is extremely attentive to us and is following commands quite well. Just a week after training concluded, we were able to loose-leash walk Lily at the beach with zero problems. Similarly, we were able to take Lily to a restaurant and have an enjoyable lunch while the dog patiently waited. Lily seems to have had a 10-fold upgrade in her ability to focus! More so than your average owner, I depend on my dog. A day hiking, at the beach, hanging out in the yard, or just watching TV usually includes Lily! Given that I expect so much out of Lily, it made a lot of sense to devote the necessary resources and take her to a professional – I’m already glad that I did! Thanks to David, I am confident that, with continued regular work on our part, Lily will be an amazing companion animal. I would absolutely recommend performance K9 and David in particular.

They did an amazing job training my high energy golden retriever! We moved to a busy neighborhood where there are many distractions during our walk, Bear (my golden) sticks right by my side. We get compliments daily on how well behaved he is. He isn’t perfect because let’s face it he is a dog. He is about as close as possible to perfect! They send you pictures every few days showing off your doggies new skills and send you a video the day before pick up. I would recommend this training to everyone! This was money well spent!!!

My 1 year 3 month old German Shephard was recommended for the 2 week board and train by David. Within minutes of the consultation, he was able to identify my dogs behavioral tendencies. Week 1: I received updates every other day with pictures and details on her improvements and lessons trained that day. Week 2: I continued to receive pictures and even videos of my dog performing multiple commands and showing improvement. I was scheduled to pick my dog up on that Friday, however David reached out to me saying that because of my dogs timid nature (determined during the consult) she took longer to develop the initial bond required to pursue training. He told me that my Dog had grown closer and more responsive to his work partner Josh. He stated he would like to keep my baby for one more week in order to solidify the training expectations. He told me that Josh would be taking over to ensure the best training was performed. ****the big plus, i was informed the extra week was at no charge to me**** I can not express how important this was and how comfortable it made me with their quality and customer service. During my take home lesson Josh worked with me to teach me how to properly handle my dog. I learned the commands and was able to continue the training the following week at home. During the follow on session, I was instructed to bring AS MANY people that would be around my dog during the day as possible. This was to ensure everyone would continue training her consistently the same way. I had 7 different people take part in the lesson and it seemed to be no issue to Josh to train each person. I continued to learn even more at this lesson as well. It has now been 3 weeks since she has been home and I was able to tell my girl to stay in her place. Go upstairs. Shower. Change. And come down to find her waiting for me. Before training , anyone who came over would be met with non stop barking and growling. Now she sits quietly in her place, by my feet, or anywhere within the home. I can walk her and have conversations with people without fear of my dog lashing out. I can NOT recommend this trainint facility more. The professionalism and cost is by far the most competitive around.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with the team at Performance K9 Training. I brought my pup, Nikita, here for some training because she is a sensitive pup and not very confident. She was a leash puller to the max and would lash out in uncomfortable situations. Nikita is a changed dog! She is so much more confident and walks so well next to me. No pulling or lashing out ar other dogs. She's so much happier knowing what to expect from me. The team really trained me as well! Now, I understand the best way to handle Nikita and ensure I am reading her body language and how she is feeling. My family is so impressed at how well she listens without having to repeat myself over and over again. She's sooo much happier with the structure she now has! I cannot thank everyone enough for how well they took care of my pup and I. I would absolutely recommend their services without a doubt. Thank you so much for everything you did for Nikita and I!

Excellent !!! We are very pleased with the training of our 3 1/2 yr. old German Shepherd male. He is our 9th German Shepherd and despite our experience and appreciation of the breed we were at a loss as to how to work with the unruly …

Over a lifetime of dog ownership and various training techniques, David and Performance K9 are hands down the BEST results we have ever seen. This business is professional, organized, polite, punctual, and delivers RESULTS. Our once out of control adolescent Labrador is now a well mannered pup. We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Performance K9 and wouldn't hesitate to refer them to others. Thanks David!!

David Greene has been an huge help with my Malinois pup, Blaze. He took time to observe us together, and understand our training goals. I've sent Blaze to do two board and trains with him, and each time, David was able to create massive improvement in just a couple weeks. After those trainings he has always been responsive when I reached out to him with additional questions. He provided me with clear instructions for how to work on specific behaviors. He is one of the absolute best trainers in the US, particularly with behavior modification for high-drive dogs. If you are considering working with him, I recommend him highly.

What a fantastic experience being able to work with this incredibly gifted trainer! In a ridiculously short amount of time he has helped fix issues with my shepherd that other trainers weren't able to. THANK YOU DAVID!!!
