Couldn't decide 1 or 2 stars. My 8 year old morkie dog injured her back leg in june and our regular vet said she would need a minor surgery but didnt see anything torn in the Xray. She referred us to sage and took 1.5 months to get an appointment. We had the appt. and they told us her ACL was torn and had Luxating Patella. Surgery was schedule 2 weeks later and they told us she should be starting able to walk a little in 4-6 weeks. time came and no improvement and seemed to be in more pain and got to the point where we couldn't even touch her without her screaming. the doctor looked at her leg and said the implant they inserted in for the luxating patella may be hurting her so scheduled a 2nd surgery to remove the implant and said she should see improvement in a few weeks. Weeks go by and still cant walk on her own without a sling so they recommended we start physical therapy and we schedule the first one for Dec 14. We started taking her to swim therapy about 3 weeks ago outside of Sage and by the looks of it she recommended we contact sage to see if she can begin therapy with sooner since she also started to develop carpal hyperextension in her front legs due to putting most of her pressure on them. For over 2 weeks we have tried calling, left 3 messages and multiple online messages to see if we can push up her PT appointment to get started on it as soon as they could with ZERO response form them what so ever. I understand they are very busy but it shouldnt be this difficult to get in touch with them while my poor dog is still suffering especially because it has always taken so long to get any appointments with them and now she may need a lot of PT just to be able to walk. After spending 7K+ on surgery and visits the least they can do is respond within a reasonable time frame. Something is just not adding up and we are very frustrated

My big dog (cat) Jack was having some urinary issues and since my vet was closed at the time I was recommended SAGE. I was treated to incredibly kind and professional service provided by everyone I encountered during phone calls and my visit. The vet I spoke with was completely thorough in explaining what was happening with my boy and how to resolve the issues at hand. I felt I left with confidence and the knowledge I needed to tend to the issue going further. Additionally, I was informed that Jack was a huge hit with everyone he met inside. Lastly I had a couple follow up calls regarding medication and billing for insurance and both times was treated with courtesy and respect. Should you ever find yourself in an emergency regarding your furry loved ones, have confidence in the teams here.

We were referred to Sage (Campbell) on an emergency need by Happy Valley Pet Hospital for our dog who was critically ill. The staff at Sage was amazing and the care and compassion they provided to our dog (and her human family) second to none. If it wasn't for the DVM at Happy Valley and her recognition of our dog's life threatening condition, we likely would have lost our beautiful dog. Dr. Struble and all of Sage's staff were fantastic and our dog is on the road to recovery!

We were seen almost immediately despite the fact that we had no appointment and it was 1am. My dog received great care, and even though I wasn't able to be in the hospital due to their Covid protocols, I was kept in the loop several times during the course of my dog's treatment. We never went more than 1 hour without receiving an update from the staff. Would 10/10 recommend. The staff also took precautions to help make sure that the experience wasn't a traumatic one for my young dog, which I really appreciated.

Prepare to spend lots of money. Too see the vet is 300.00 consultation 135.00. I was only given the amount of the parvo test which was 67.00. When i got the bill and seen 360.00 I asked why bill was so high the guy told me " do you think service is free we didnt charge for fluids that was out of kindness." then went on to tell me that while i am waiting for my pup i needed to go find some more money. I couldnt believe what this guy was telling me. Its been almost an hour and im still waiting for my puppy. There will not be a next time. I will go else where.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Benji yesterday because he had a severe brain disease and it took him very quickly. He didn't wake up from anesthesia and didn't feel any pain then or after. The SAGE team gave him the best care and because I rushed him over in an Uber from an hour away with little preparation, they offered me water, phone charger, and words of comfort. The neurologist in charge, Dr. Vitale, was able to examine him and give us some clarity. We were able to be there for our Benji to the end. I appreciate the team's efforts in saving him and letting him go to a safer place.

As prompt as could be expected given the hour our our first visit, 12:45 am on a Saturday morning.

Don’t choose here. I suggest they can directly change their name to “no emergency care”. They always let their customers wait 2-3 hours at least.

To say I had a horrible experience here would be a huge understatement. Dr. Wong is both extremely rude and passive aggressive over the phone. I called twice in one day to check up on my cat and ask how he was doing and Dr. Wong yelled at me both times. The first time Dr. Wong yelled at me because I simply asked if I could being my cat home early and the second time Dr. Wong yelled at me because apparently us pet owners shouldn't call to check up on our pets. I've never dealt with such unprofessionalism from a veterinary office. It should also be said that the pricing is extremelyy expensive. That honestly wouldn't have mattered to me if the customer service wasn't so rude, but why would I pay more for a doctor to yell at me over the phone? Anyways, be prepared to deal with really rude staff (mainly from Dr. Wong) and a very expensive medical bill. I will NEVER come back here and I wouldn't recommend anyone else come back here either! Beware!

Was a long wait, so be prepared. But it's not about me. My baby Kipper yelped at the very touch and had severe back pain. The dr showed concern and listened to my concerns patiently. I was charged far less than I expected but it's not about me. Kipper was able to sleep after 2 sleepless nights and I can not be more appreciative of the staff and dr.

We have had such good care for Bailey. 1st for high liver values and then surgery for tumor on her toe, which found cancer. Finally for immunotherapy treatment for her cancer. Thanks to the care at Sage Campbell, Bailey is doing terrific.

We were referred to Sage Veterinary Center by Banfield because our beautiful Kitty Mau was diagnosed with cancer after having tumors removed. Unfortunately her condition did not get much better, and as we were saving up to get her procedures done she started getting worse. During the whole process Sages vet staff thoroughly broke down our options, the costs, and what to expect. We had to put our baby down last night. We arrived around 9-10pm. Their staff was very prompt and met us outside within minutes after our phone call. We were able to spend a lot of time with her before and after her passing. During the whole process the night staff made us feel comfortable, and at ease. They were so reassuring and understanding despite both of us being in shambles. Thank you sage vet staff for taking care of our beautiful baby.

I have taken both of my dogs here for both regular checkups and more urgent care. Each time I have been very happy with the kindness and service of all the folks there. Very happy with them.

So thankful they are open 24 hours and are completely awake, sharp and on it with the most kindness and professionalism even at 3 AM. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my fur baby and being available.

The doctor was very arrogant and didn’t care about owner’s feeling at all. Also at the pickup time, they let us wait for more than one hour even with a scheduled appointment. Don’t think they are trustworthy.

Would have given them a 0 and WISHED I WOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS 1ST! My cat needed a blood transfusion and my vet didn't have any matching blood. They said it was "1st come, 1st serve" so I drove over an hr to get there. I checked her in and told them she was having a hard time breathing. 15 mins later i see a car come into the parking lot and 2 techs rush out and take the animal in while I still waited.18mins later they finally come to get my cat and told me that she was in a lot of pain. They give me an estimate of almost 6k and to make a quick decision since, she was in a lot of pain. I couldn't afford the 6k so, decided to euthanize her. 35 mins later...we are still waiting because the vet was on the phone! What? So, I had to hurry but they could take their time? I arrived 1st but some one else has priority? These people are SICK! DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE... LASTLY, I wanted my cat creamated and asked for the price, almost 700! I took her body home and told my vet to creamate her and only charged 158 with a maple wooden box! This is all a business for them and do not have that passion to save animals. JUST THIEVES AND NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!

Did a surgery that did not need to be done on my dog, now my dog has more scar tissue in her neck then before the surgery. Had to take my dog to another vet and they would have been thousands cheaper and also wouldn't have done the surgery in the first place. Now my dog has a massive lump on her neck, avoid this greedy place

My family and I will forever be great full for the wonderful staff that worked on the day we had to lay my mama Giselle to sleep. Giselle was my 15(+) year old poodle and my best friend. Saying goodbye was the worst feeling in the world. Sage allowed us to grief in private and be with our angel throughout the process. Thank you for allowing us to stay with our mama bear for as long as we did. She was always there for us and you allowed us to stay with her. Thank you for being so kind and careful as I saw her resting in your arms for the last time. I will love you forever. Thank you, Sage!

Avoid this vet. They do not care about you or your animal, only profit. Their services are extremely expensive. They do risky, unnecessary procedures to pad the bill. They made multiple mistakes scheduling and administering procedures, yet billed for them and associated services anyway. They do not communicate well. They will abuse your emotional state to get as much out of you as possible. I was on hold for 30-60 minutes every time I called. They did not forward requested information (labs, tests, etc) to my usual vet, which I asked them to do multiple times. They refused to release my animal on multiple occasions, keeping him for days. They sent many unauthorized estimates along with invoices after treatment had been provided. Many of the items (70%+) on the invoices were not even on the estimates. Getting thousands of dollars of invoices without ever approving treatment or knowing how much services will cost has got to be an illegal business practice. After weeks of trying to speak to someone in their business office, I was able to get a response from a manager. They refused to negotiate, and said they would not have any further communication. Best course of action here is to avoid this vet. If you must, use a credit card so you can charge back, even though it probably won't end in your favor. File a complaint with the Veterinary Medical Review Board, the city, and any consumer protection services in your area (news, etc). Update: SAGE continued to perform procedures that I did not agree to. I finally got my animal back after informing them I would be calling the police department, as they were holding him hostage. He was very weak and I did not want him to be tortured by this horrible company, and die alone in some cell. I wanted him to be comfortable at home, and in the presence of those who loved him. SAGE refused to share all information with my other vet upon discharge, and abandoned care. I believe that this impacted his quality of life and path to recovery. It also ended up costing me even more, as some tests had to be repeated. We then received multiple zero balance statements from SAGE for months. Then they sent us a bill for 500$, and turned it into collections 6 months later. Note that this is after we had already paid nearly $10,000$. They really don't care about anything but money.

My loved cat Bonus passed away 3 days ago. I still can't stop crying but I want to thank Dr. Howland and his team for their attempt to save my baby's life. I know they did their best. I understand that every loss is a real stress for them. Despite all that Dr. Howland found time to call me in person to express sympathy and answer all my questions. The staff members responded to all my requests as well. My husband, who brought Bonus to emergency room, told me that they reacted very quickly and initiated CPCR immediately after arrival. Unfortunately it was already impossible to help. Good bye my Bonus and thank you Dr Howland and all team members for your support ????

Please do your research before taking your beloved pets to this hospital. They are financially corrupt and do not care about animal welfare. Here are some key points that SAGE veterinarians (Lisa Kim and Terence Krentz) FAILED to do when we brought in our dog to get treated: - Did not offer independent and impartial advice- vet was rude and impatient - Failed to make appropriate physical assessment/make sound clinical judgement -Failed to provide appropriate explanation about x-ray findings, pre and post surgical implications and risks -Failed to communicate effectively The SAGE team recommended to euthanize our dog. We ended up taking our dog home and he has since (fully) recovered. Please be your pet's advocate and take them somewhere else to get treated.
