I’ve been going here for years for my old pup. Almost 10, I think. Probably made +50 appointments. In the beginning I used to get really personal care from the doctor. Nowadays I’m lucky to see somebody 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Today i checked in about 5 minutes early for my 11am appointment. I waited +40 minutes after my scheduled time till I walked back into the clinic asking when will they see the cats. If I did not prompt them to help me, they probably would’ve made me wait another 20 minutes. This isn’t the first time I’ve been left waiting way past my appointment time, and it’s gotten progressively worse. They need to stop overbooking. It’s such a terrible experience and I’ve stopped recommending this clinic because of it. Also prices have shot way up. Seems way higher than inflation for the Bay Area. I’ve read in some reviews that it feels like a money grab, and I hate to agree with it. But with the same small venue and terrible wait time despite have made appointments weeks ahead, it sure feels that way. I’m giving it two stars because the staff is still super friendly, otherwise the wait time and price increases would be 1. Maybe they’ll turn around, but I’ll likely find a new vet for my kitten.

Front desk was extremely unprofessional as was placed on hold for 6 mins then when she finally came back on line she was nog helpful in sitting up an appt. which they contacted me to schedule. In addition, she placed me on hold a second time which was unacceptable. As a business owner myself, I would not accept this behavior from one of my team members but not all businesses care about the customer experience….. one star rating from me due to the horrible customer service.

Don’t go there! I went there specifically for a rabies booster of my pet together with administering the other annual vaccinations. They misread the initial certificate which was valid for a year and added it in the system as valid for 3 years and didn’t give my pet the shot even though I was told it was given and that he’s not due for another 2 years!!! Now my travel plans are ruined because I found out about their scam too late…

Has been here for two years. Price hike without notice. Office visit is $50 for checkup which is outrageous (it’s twice of office visit fee I go to Kaiser). No clue what they did to my dog, she’s terrified to go in after last visit.

What a rip off! They raised every price as much as twice from the last year. Even for just vaccinations, you have to pay $50 mandatory office visit fee, and every vaccination is too expensive compare to other vet clinics. Before ever going to this place, check the price how much they would charge.

Prices increased without any advanced notice...50 dollar office visit per pet? The vet will no longer talk to you; unprofessional front area with little to no desire to answer any of my questions. Just there to take your money and send you out the door. I'm taking my pets elswhere.

Very professional & Friendly. Respectful of covid restrictions. Would recommend this place if you're unhappy w/ ur current vet or just want a change.

They take too many appointments. The Vet was late and the mob outside did not receive any clear direction from staff. This created a situation that caused me to cancel my appointment and reschedule with another vet.

Beware! They are price gouging / doing a cash grab right now. No notification that they boosted the prices of their services by over 100%. Office Visit was $20 a few months ago, now $50, a 150% increase. Rabies Vaccine was $10 last year, now $25, a 150% increase. Distemper Vaccine was $17 last year, now $37, a $118% increase. Pyrantel Dewormer was $15 a few months ago, now $25, a 60% increase. No face to face with doctor anymore, just 3 lines from a technician about how we need to come back for more services they provide. Looks like Tricity Veterinary Hospital still has reasonable prices, the prices which Uni Pet Clinic no longer has. So I guess we will be going there from now on.

Long story and warning for anyone who wanted to visit this clinic for their pets. Something had always bothered me about this vet clinic. I used to come here for years for my dog and cat but decided it was best to find another vet. First, in 2014, a female vet told me my dog had two cracked teeth that needed to be extracted. I requested to only extract one tooth to deal with the other one later. The extraction was quite expensive, so wanted to wait to save money. A year later, I went to get another teeth checkup for my dog through another vet doctor at this clinic. I was expecting he would say something about the second cracked tooth. Nope, my dog didn’t have a second cracked tooth in need of extraction after all. I almost had two of my dog’s teeth extracted. Now I am questioning if they were either lying for money or inept at their job or both. I am also questioning if my dog needed to have a tooth extraction in the first place. Dr. Kang seemed like a nice person, but I felt like under that facade something bothered me. If you ever face this situation, get a second opinion. I introduced my friend to visit his San Jose clinic for a stray cat to keep as a pet. My friend asked Dr kang if the cat is already spayed and he said he needs to charge her extra to check if she was spayed already. My friend was suspicious of him that he knew the cat was spayed but wanted to charge her anyway by saying he didnt know. Couldn’t he have asked his vet techs to go online and check if the cat is chipped? The chips can inform if it’s spayed. We found out the cat was chipped at another vet. It was all around untrustworthy, and made me feel kind of bad for introducing my friend to this clinic. Vet techs were nice enough and the vets were nice but something really bothered me about this place after my dog’s tooth extraction. Also they would sell dented dog food cans at a discount. Did they not know dented cans can have botulism and cause illness? It made me think they were disingenuous and so I won’t be returning after being a customer for seven years.

I've been bringing my cat here for routine checkup, vaccinations, and dental cleaning since 2018. I used to have pleasant experience with the place, but my recent visit in June 2021 was totally the opposite. Experience change - No chance talking to the vet Previously when I brought my cat here for a routine check (July 2020 during the pandemic), even though she was healthy in general, the vet would still talk to us in person giving some suggestions. However, this time the only person we talked to was the nurse. Didn't know who took care of my cat until I saw the bill... Price changes - A HUGE JUMP IN PRICING Office visit: $20 to $50 Rabies Vaccine: $10 to $25 Feline Distemper Vaccine: $17 to $37 Dewormer: $15 to $25 The awful point is that they won't inform you about the price changes at all until you see the bill. Luckily medical waste disposal fee remains to be $2.55, but I bet they thought about charging at least 10 bucks instead. If you're an existing customer, be aware of the price changes.

Don't bring your pet here if you're expecting sympathy, compassion, and genuine care for your beloved pet. This is a cold-hearted, money making machine through and through and all they want to to is pad your bill with unnecessary procedures, tests and medications that won't benefit your pet. We spent several thousand dollars on frivolous tests only to watch our dog die in our arms. The doctors had a chance to intercede, prescribe treatment and medication, and make a genuine effort to save the dog and they did not. Now they won't renew my other dog's prescription, happy to let the dog suffer just because we won't agree to a wholly unnecessary and expensive office visit.

Horrible place. The staff are very unprofessional, rude, and at times even appear to be incompetent. Maybe they are overworked? Doesn't matter, there's no excuse for bad behavior. Their prices also change from day to day without explanation; if you don't question them they will rip you off. Beware!

Having visited this location multiple times now, I am revising my previous review where I gave four stars and I'm downgrading this place to two stars. Well I have generally positive things to say about the staff, the thing that is inexcusable about this establishment is the fact that they can't seem to keep an appointment time. I've never had to wait less than a half an hour past my appointment time, and I've had on some occasions waited more than 45 minutes. They don't seem to respect my time.
