Tried to bring my dog in for an infection and concern with his breathing. I was refused service because their staff did not do his surgery.

The overnight staff on Thanksgiving night 11/25-11/26 saved my cat Oliver after he went through a tragic incident that left him in critical condition. I got him to the hospital just 9 minutes after the incident and they set up an IV, sedated him, and put him in an oxygen cage. He stayed for a day and a half and is doing really well. I really thought he was going to die. To the nurses and doctors that helped him THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am forever grateful.

I tend to agree with some of these reviews in regards to the office staff. Rude and short! Don't work at a 24 hr emergency vet if you don't want to be there. Non-responsive! Also, this facility does not have a 24 hr lab that can get you results fast, especially if your animal could be dying! The vet that called missed some serious issues going on with my dog. Sent me home with a large dose of antiobotics not suitable for his weight! I also had to wait 3 days for lab results. You are not a emergency vet! Doctor doesn't call back. I came down the hill to come here on a recommendation but I made a huge mistake and wasted money. I hope the management takes a look at what is going on.

We adopted Kimmy in 2018, and she was very sick when 6months old. We brought her to the Medvet Campbell after basic tests and diagnosis. She was diagnosed lung bacteria infection that caused Pneumonia. She was put in oxygen chamber first and later on they put chest tube on her and continuous treatment. We had follow up calls from day and night shifts from the hospital to update her status. She was there for 9 days and survived from the battle to illness with help and support by the doctors and technicians. Now Kimmy is 3.5 years old, she likes to take a nap by the big window when the sun light came in, she likes to run around with fur ball made by her own fur. We are very thankful to the hospital that saved Kimmy, special thanks to Dr Dave Morehouse and Dr David Novotny.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Called and expressed my concern of my dog and IMMEDIATELY the person on the phone said that's not emergent. Called Santa Teresa MedVet and is currently caring for my pet. HORRIBLE SERVICE if I could I would give it NEGATIVE

This morning at 3am, we had to put our 14 year old dog Renzie to sleep. She was our dog from Canine Companions for Independence and we helped her with 5 litters of pups that are helping people all over the USA. MedVet Campbell was wonderful, caring, very understanding, came right out to our car to take her inside, kept us informed, provided us options, brought us water and tissue and MedVet helped Renzie pass away very peacefully.

MedVet Campbell was extremely responsive and helpful when communicating with us about bringing our dog into the ER. Kyla was super helpful in organizing the drop off and even offering to try to get us into a closer location. She communicated extremely well and was professional and compassionate with our situation. The RN and Drs were also very responsive, clear and actually followed up on call commitments such as when we were to receive our next update. Great job!

If I could rate this establishment 0 star, I would do it in a heartbeat. The management of this location needs to heavily consider laying off current administrative employees and staff the team with more qualified workers. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and unfit for the job. We called ahead to make sure that there was a spot to admit our 14 year old Standard Poodle for 24-48 hour intensive care RIGHT AFTER an invasive surgery. The front desk assured us that we would be able to drop him off immediately after his surgery, so we took him there minutes after. Upon arrival, we were rejected and further attempts to contact a human inside the hospital were unsuccessful. Please don't lie, as a professional. This type of business deals with life/death matters and there is no room to be downright unprofessional. Your staffs incompetence have caused us extreme pain and nobody should ever have to come across this mishap in the future.

I had to transfer my cat here from another vet at 10:00 PM when every other 24-hour animal hospital in the area was overbooked. I was worried that they might not attach his IV quickly enough, which would've caused lasting harm, but they did. The vets and technicians took great care of my cat. It was very expensive, but I feel like I got what I paid for.

Our pet swallowed a ball and we went to the emergency services here and after 2 tries of inducing vomit, he needed a surgery. The doctors were wonderful. Unfortunately, you interact with the rest of the staff more. They are a disaster. I specifically want to call out Kyla for her lack of compassion and empathy coupled with her aggressive, impatient, and quite frankly a jerk of behavior. She doesn't have 30 seconds to answer your post op questions and her rudeness encourages you to not call them back. Perhaps it is intentional to save their time. After $5000 on a surgery, you would think they could spend a couple of minutes answering your questions. Folks who don't care about pets or their hoomans during such a stressful job need to find another job.

Absolute garbage phone lines. I have tried calling a NUMBER of times and the phone line is always down (the beep tone keeps playing). Not even hold music or an automated message. This is absolutely ridiculous service for an emergency pet clinic. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. If you try reaching out to them for pet updates your call will never go through

Both MedVet Campbell and Mountain View team did amazing jobs taking care of my cat Duang Duang, a 5-month old poor thing that suffers from abnormal and reoccurring urinary blockage. They really impressed me with the following things: 1)excellent team: very professional and responsible in a way of communicating and handing over tasks to each other so that every doctor is on the same page and knows my cat’s condition. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy teams. 2)daily updates: Doctor will call and update me every morning and night about my cat’s condition and discuss CT/ultrasound reports in detail. Im a inquisitive person with so many questions and they were all super patient answering all of them! 3)keep things within the budget: I’ve been to another hospital that overcharged me 10k for this issue. MedVet’s invoice is much more reasonable. Doctors try to eliminate any unnecessary items while keeping the right treatment to save my wallet. 4)they love your furry friend: during hospitalization, the staff sent me videos and pictures of duang duang so that I know he’s loved and doing well. They also put toys to entertain with him. 5)in-network connections: they tried best to find the soonest available surgery appointment by contacting many different locations (ex: sage, MedVet silicon valley) . Also had discussion with internal medicine specialist to resolve the difficult medical issue. 6)efficiency, efficiency, efficiency Doctors and staff are efficient regarding writing prescription and emailing medical records. Thank you Dr. Clare, Dr.Wickham, Dr.Nielsen, Dr.Passer, and Dr.Morehouse, also staff Deanna, Monica, Casey and so many others!

Absolutely sub-par, disappointing customer service. My pet was experiencing a health emergency at 5 in the morning, MedVet is the only 24hr Vet in the area. After dropping my pet off with a technician, we received a call from a different technician. They explain that the first course of action must be X-Rays, and that they may have to be sent to a Specialist, the cost of which ranging ~$500-$800, but they require you to pay the full amount before anything is done - assuring that they will refund the difference if they do not end up administering the care the maximum covers. I love my pet, so of course I pay without a second thought. Later, a doctor calls and explains that a procedure/surgery must be performed. I end up on the phone with another technician who explains that the procedure will range ~$5000-$7000, which is unbelievably high, but nonetheless - i love my pet. After handling the payment, which was a nightmare because Visa has a card spending limit of $5,000 and they don't accept ANY OTHER forms of payment, they assure me that I will receive a call when the procedure is finished, and an explanation of what to expect next know terms of recovery. 7 hours go by - no phone call. So naturally I call them, and a new doctor explains that everything is fine and that my pet will be ready to pick up the next morning, after some monitoring of the recovery process. At about 7:30 a.m. a technician called and let me know that my pet would be ready to come home around 10 a.m. , so I showed up at 9:55, called - was hung up on, and continued to sit there with no communication from anyone inside for over an hour. I'm grateful they helped take care of my pet, but between gouging their customers during a pandemic and the absolute train wreck that is their communication with customers - I will be warning my friends and family, and I will not be coming back.

I took my childhood dog here when she had to be put down. We asked the vet tech before she had passed for them to take her ink paw print before sending her off. They agreed, and she was put down. When they returned her ashes to us there was no paw print included, and they had no recollection of what was agreed upon.

Took my bestie to MedVet on his worst day. The doctor explained his condition with compassion and professionalism, without sounding rushed. She was very clear with next steps and helped us find an available neurologist (I’m sure we would still be looking without her guidance). The staff took the time to fix him a car bed for his long-distance transfer. Appreciated the personal attention, tips, advice, and care.

The vets are great! The people that answer the phones at the desks are not. Condescending it the primary word. Call Sage. They are professional and helpful all the way around.

When they had to come to the front door with the diagnosis of cancer for our late cat (no one could go inside, as this happened in March at the very start of the Novel Coronavirus lockdown), they were very kind & gentle in letting us know she had only days to weeks to live. She passed away exactly two weeks later.

I took my dog in twice because he mischievously consumed clothing he isn't supposed to obviously, so too him in to induce vomiting. Staff managed the check in process seamlessly, particularly during COVID. Really easy process. The doctor was equally as fantastic, providing me detailed information on his overall physical check and confirmed that he threw up the bad stuff he ate. Great customer service and extremely caring team.

Excellent service, top notch care at any hour. Very easy to access from any location in the South Bay, but we came from East Bay, still great

On 9/01/20, I found a cat and took it to my veterinarian. I was told that the cat had cancer and was suffering and it should be euthanized and I should contact the human society. The cat was in bad shape and unable to breath. When I contacted the human society I was told to take the cat to MedVet Campbell to be euthanized since the cat was not mine and it was a stray and it was after hours. Well I saw the cat today and it's still alive. It's tied to a leash like a dog, with no water or food and it's been over 100 degrees these past few days. The cat was returned to it's horrible owner who neglects the cat. The cat is so skinny it's being starved to death, soiled and unable to move it's suffering. Anyone can see that the cat is physically in bad shape. MedVet should have never allowed the cat to be returned to it's horrible owner. It's animal cruelty and I'm so upset that this poor cat is suffering and dying in this heat and being neglected. How could MedVet allow animal cruelty?! I will never take another animal to MedVet again. Shame on you MedVet for allowing animal cruelty. I would post pictures but it's too sad and graphic to see how the cat is suffering and being neglected in this heat. I will file a complaint and submit pictures to animal control. I would give this horrible so called animal hospital ZERO STARS!

*JENN, THEIR RN HURT MY DOG* I took my pomeranian into this hospital for difficulty breathing. My dog has spinal issues and must be very carefully handled otherwise, it may cause er pain damage, damage her nerves, or affect her mobility, in which she is unable to use her hind legs which would need treatment of steroids and months of therapy. I spoke with the front desk about this and she said to speak to the nurse picking up my dog from the front door. (Covid was in place and I could not go inside) Jenn, RN was the nurse who did not give me the time of day to explain my dog's issue. I pleaded for her to use a crate as I saw other pets go in in their crates and she was adamant about wanting to carry her inside without one. She very roughly took her from my arms and kicked the door to go inside. I had offered to open the door for her but she turned away quicker than I could finish my offer and kicked the door to walk through which, which I know would have immensely scared my dog. Why was she so rude? After some time, the hospital said they needed to keep her overnight. I knew she wasn't going to be comfortable and being this was the third night in a row she's been at the emergency room (another one, not this one), in an oxy tank for an hour, her symptoms got better and her breathing would go back to normal when she got home. So I politely declined. Jenn brought her out and she was gasping louder than normal. I asked her how come her breathing was worse and she looked at me in the eye and said, "We told you to keep her here. She will not live of you take her home". Why would she say that? She wasn't her doctor! Even the doctor said it was OK for me to bring hee home. She dropped my dog into my carrier and stormed off. I was so distraught about what happened. During my dog's stay, I called and asked if they could please use a crate to transfer her when they need to do the lab work and the person I spoke to was so rude. She basically said, "I'll ask, but no guarantee" without giving me the chance to talk. Later I called and asked how my dog was doing and the gal I spoke to said, "she seems fine...we're not her favorite people right now". Why? What have they done to her? She's a small 7 lbs pomeranian that melts people's hearts every where they go. Why would she say that??? I have a feeling she did something to my dog back there. My dog was in such a worse condition, I ended up taking her into another ER after that. I called and spoke to the Hosptial Director, Robin, shortly after and told her what I experienced. I hope she investigated, albeit with the video cameras or asking the employees because they were unprofessional and most unkind. If you don't want harm caused to your dog, take them to another ER. This was such a horrible experience. And if Jenn is your nurse, make sure you ask for someone else. She is definitely not an animal lover.

I took my dog opal here for stitches about a month ago. She got a tube and the stitches removed here as well. Neither I had to make an appointment for or pay to be removed..I just called ahead to let them know I was on my way. All the people I spoke with over the phone were amazing even amid all the covid-19 hassle. They were very prompt when I called and when I got there i never had to wait much time! I’d take my dogs here 100% if I ever had another emergency. The second time we arrived back my dog was actually excited and ran up to the door!

Took my Chihuahua here to find out why is trying to throw up and breathing fast. The vet speculated he had a heart murmur and charged me $150. Suggested an X-Ray for a cool $600 and some change. These are my Chihuahua's last days thanks to these money hungry Veterinarian's. $150 just to look at him...not help fix him, just look at him...Unbelievable!!!

take a while to give updates and clean a wound and respond to the front desk and expect to be here for 5 hours. under staff. nice people working tho. the need more staff in the night. calling into the office for animal help takes 5 or 10 min to come to the front desk. charged me 150 for nothing and could fine the wound that I said until he call an hour later. my bill was less than 500 for a small scrape on his left front paw.

This is the best veterinary emergency care there should be. I brought in my cat in distress and it turned out she had cancer complications and had to be euthenasied - the hospital owner and chief vet Jade was able to diagnose the problem …

We had to take our dog here because she ate my husband's entire birthday cake off of the counter and was showing worrying signs (vomited, distended stomach, etc.). The staff at United was very helpful and got us in to see the vet as quickly as possible. The vet was knowledgeable and very clearly explained what needed to be done and why. The prices were reasonable and we felt our dog was in excellent hands. We would definitely return to United again if our pets needed medical assistance at a time when our regular vets office was closed.

Love this clinic! My dog got really sick to the point where he couldn’t walk and I was so scared he wouldn’t make it. I rushed him down to the clinic where I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and so caring with my dog. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is having an emergency with their pet.
