Traveling through for a week and boarded our dogs here for a night. Friendly staff and the pups had a great time!

Was an employee here, not going to go into details but I noticed they never let anyone tour the area nor do they have any real photos of their facility up. This is what is really looks like beyond that first pretty yard and the initial waiting area. THIS is what your dogs are living in. There are rats, rat poop, and uncleaned laundry, rusted fences, holes, etc. Your dogs are not given water if they are put in a crate, and most are put in one until they are put into a yard for 10min.

My willful Doberman puppy needed to go to reform school cause I love her but she bites. She's sweet and adorable and her teething hurts, something she shares only with who she loves most. BLUE DOG RANCH IS THE BEST with the best trainer who dedicates all his time with our pups 24/7 and isn't a phony. David is the real thing and he doesn't need to tell you he's the best. He truly is. Pups live in his home with him. His ranch consists of massive properties that allow inside and outdoor socializing and so much fun for our pups. It is spotless and kept that way around the clock. IF YOU NEED A TRAINER OR IF YOU NEED TO BOARD YOUR DOG SO YOU CAN GET OUT OF TOWN, THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I'LL EVER GO! Jenny in his office and Roxie are so nice and comforting and people know David from his no shock, no electric training and his true love for animals. SAFETY AND CLEAN AND LOVING IS WHAT BLU DOG RSNCH OFFERS and my baby girl has learned so much from him. If you need a certain food or there's medication to be given, it's all done in a timely manner. Best of all where some trainers lie and pretend they're training your pup too often they charge a lot but hire people who are there to learn how to train and don't know what they're doing. I ran into one of those who trains all over the world so he says. Seriously? And he just drops by to pick up your dog and take her where? All BS while David stays put with a stellar reputation I was so lucky to find out about. Then I found out from Kinzee's ear crop doc miles away that she's seen him for years and he is the best. I'm a dog lover but I'm a female and want the very best. My baby girl loves him cause good to her and like I spoil Kinzee I love that he does too. This is the place to go.

Ingrid was amazing with partnering us with Kona. We feel so lucky to have found this place and such a sweet dog. Pacific Coast Dog Rescue made sure that Kona was going to a loving home, and made the process seamless. While it was difficult waiting a month to get to bring her home, it’s great to see the rescue place so much time and attention on making sure dogs are placed in a forever home. Ingrid has an amazing heart, and I wish I could adopt more dogs from her!

My Doberman puppy is there for training and she's my new baby girl who is 3 months, 1 week old and 4 days old. They are wonderful and so nice and you can tell how much they love dogs when the results are apparent from others as well as my pup. So clean and huge properties all together without electric anything I wouldn't allow. They just don't need it. And they do boarding where my pup is with love and kindness she gets from me but from them. David is sensational without the ego less skilled trainers have. Jenny is a master of everything and picky as I am, as is Roxi. Don't go elsewhere if you need to board your dog for their property is secure, safe, clean, with fog loving people looking after them around the clock. My pup loves it and you will too!

Updated 3/26/19- My sister dropped her dog off there and within 2hrs- they lost her dog. This dog was the world to my sister and she hasn't slept since. We were told that the jack russel terrrier (Max) jumped a fence- then the owner called 5 days later and told my sister that a self closing mechanism was placed on a gate...? Dog was lost 4/29/10, white jack russel terrier with a black left ear. His name is Max and we hope that he is safe. The facility is offering a $1000 reward. Other kennels in the area say it's not their first lost dog- beware! 3/26/19 Update- I so happy that Google kept my review up- Yelp immediately erased it. The dog was found 10 days later in 2010 dead on the 101 freeway near Blue Dog by freeway maintenance who contacted my sister. The owner called my sister to follow up- my sister took no action against them because of her nervous breakdown. Please be careful with these people. RIP Max.

If you are training a puppy or having a problem with a older pup (ours is 1) our appointment was like a breath of fresh air. It has only been a few days but we see a big difference already. Really taught us a lot about how our dogs thinks and how he reacts! They are awesome

I rescued Manny from the county through an adoption in the park campaign. He was great for the first couple months that I had him. Then, he started to have some anxiety issued and behavior issued. I have owned dogs my entire life and have successfully trained 5 dogs myself. I thought I could bring Manny around...I was wrong. David Roe and his team at the Blue Dog Ranch took Manny in and gave him the confidence he needed to behave. Then, they taught me and my 6 year old daughter how to keep the training going in the right direction. Today, Manny is a well adjusted and pleasant animal to be around thanks to the work David and his team do. My family is happier knowing we will have Manny with us for many years to come. Definitely call the Blue Dog Ranch and see how they can help you too.

There are almost no words for how grateful Flash and I are to David Roe and Blue Dog Ranch. Flash Bates was rescued from the holding pen in the Los Angeles animal shelter moments before his scheduled execution. Despite the fact that he was difficult at first, and had clearly been abused, Flash has matured into a dog that many call the mellowest dog in the world. Flash loves to be included in social situations and has attended TEDActive since 2009 and become the unofficial mascot for the TEDActive crowd. Flash works with John in his coaching business by giving nervous executives an acceptable outlet for their nervous energy and attention. Flash grounds their nervous energy and sets a good example by being relaxed. Recently an East Coast executive from a publicly traded construction company bent down, put his face right up to Flash's face and said, "Flash, I'm so happy you were here for this! You made my session so much more enjoyable." Flash is a graduate of the Blue Dog Ranch/Pacific Dog Rescue training provided by David Roe and is eternally grateful for David's gentle but insistent manner. David, you utterly changed our lives and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My girlfriend and I asked David to help us train our jack russell and he did an incredible job. David gave us the tools to help our dog feel like he has a purpose and the new increased mental stimulation has had a very positive effect in a short period of time. David really took the time to get to know us as owners and was able to explain things to us in a way that has been simple and easily repeatable on our own. We would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a happier and healthier dog. Just a pleasure to work with.

Have been taking my dog to BDR for the last 6 months and have always been pleased. Bobby Sue always takes care of me and my dog and I think my dog may have a crush on her.
