My stallion needed surgery for colic today. The team is attentive and communicates regularly. My questions were answered and I believe that my horse has the best chance to return to normal health. Thank you Vets & staff!

Absolutely the best equine hospital in Southern California, would recommend it to anybody. One of their technicians, Isaiah, was helpful, friendly, and very professional. Definitely worth it!

I called here because my horse had severe colic and was put in touch with a Veterinary Surgeon immediately. She listened and explained their process clearly for me.

Truly awesome experience taking our mini donkey here she is still under the care of the hospital so more will be revealed but so far me and the family are very very happy with this establishment

My poor baby had a large mass in his esophagus they treated him scoped it did a good biopsy and got the antibiotics for him. They were very caring and sweet towards my big guy and saved his life! Thank you so much for the amazing work you all did! The price is actually pretty reasonable given what all he had done and it's a hospital, but they were never pushy about costs or paying up front their main concern was taking care of my big guy and making sure he was coming comfortable and happy.

Quiet Serene outdoors for Horses...

They really seem to know their stuff but did not allow me to be present for all procedures. Not a deal breaker by any means but I was disappointed.

I had my horse trailered over 1,300 miles to this clinic for a CT myelogram. I had heard this clinic has the latest technology and are at the front of veterinary care. There are a number of excellent vets associated with this clinic. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Huggons and his team. They accommodated my horse on short notice and provided top notch care. Thank you for all your assistance with my horse.

Love Dr Huggons. All staff are wonderful. Easy in and out with horse trailers or big rigs. State of the art veterinary medicine.

Such great people here, I come here nearly every night for work, they are always courteous and kind.

Refused to take blood from a sick horse for labs. The horse died before a second lab could get turn around. As a human doctor, this lack of medical ethis is appalling. Alienating the small part of the population that can afford specialized equine services is not good business.

I agree 100% with Juli. Dr. Potenza goes well beyond her duty and has an excellent eye for lameness. I recently took a horse in for arthroscopic surgery on a bone chip and the care and follow up was excellent. Unfortunately for me, they are a good + hour away but I make the drive because they are that good.

Who knew that SLREH could get better? We have been coming to SLREH for years. Our colt had spinal fusion surgery by Dr. Grant in 2003 and we've kept coming back every since even. though we lived in Long Beach at the time. We now live closer, so it's much easier. I was really hesitant when I found out the practice had been sold, but I'm here to tell you, it is better than ever!!! The veterinary team of Dr. Huggons and Dr. Potenza is second to none. I have never met such a group of dedicated professionals in the equine veterinary business. They not only give excellent care to you and your horse, they Care about you and your horse. 5 Stars is not enough!!!!!! Love Love Love SLREH
