Very busy mornings and evenings and understaffed but they still manage to get it done with patience, competence and professionalism. Kudos. Try to go in the off hours if possible.

I love this vet! They are so good at what they do and they are beyond compassionate. I can’t recommend enough! They deserve 10 out of 5 stars! Every single employee is amazing!

They took great care of my 18 year old Shiba Inu. Her nose was plugged so they told me what to do to get her to breath easier and better. I have little money so they didn't charge me anything for her needed meds to help. EXTREMELY GRATEFUL. ❤

This is the second time we’ve boarded our dog here. If you have a larger breed I would not recommend you board her here. They get little exercise or attention. The first thing she did when we got her back was to have diarrhea and she had lost quite a bit of weight. We will not be using Bishop Veterinary Hospital again.

I was in Mammoth and I came down to Bishop to drop elevation for my 14 year old mini poodle that was having heart problems. It was early Sunday morning and Dr. Joel Figueroa came right away. He took in my pup and helped him get back to stable condition so we can take him back home to Los Ángeles. I don’t know what I would’ve done if could’ve not taken my doggy back home. On a closed Sunday Dr. Figueroa answered my calls and saved my dogs life. Forever grateful for their staff and Dr. Figueroa.

Doctors are overbooked, thus overworked, and my dog got overlooked! My 13 year old Shepherd spent three days at the hospital, and me, $1400, because he would not eat, drink, was lethargic and sore, and had a fever of 104. He saw two doctors while there, but neither of them looked at his ears or teeth! When I got him home, I did, and ears were black and yeasty and teeth very dirty, which could have led to an infection in his system! They thought it was blockage in bowels (no vomiting though), kidney failure, liver disease or cancer, or Cushing's...however, after he finally got an antibiotic on second day (afternoon), he started to improve by following day (third day). I took him home (since it was a Friday) and after another day on antibiotics, he was normal! Antibiotics will not stop kidney failure or Cushing's, nor a liver from failing--it was an infection of some sort! Sometimes, in statistics, there are outliers, but they wanted to put him into statistics due to his age. Will drive out of town for follow up and care! Disappointed in how the young, new doctors are turning out there. The one cussed three times that Friday when I picked my dog up! :( UPDATE: 7/14/21-Simon had a new ultrasound at new vet (not in town). NOTHING in liver, kidneys, bladder, & spleen, even though two vets at BVH said there was something in his liver! No cancer! All his blood, kidney snd liver values are normal! She said it was most likely a bladder or kidney infection, but it’s cleared up! Talk about misdiagnosis from being seen during his illness two weeks ago!

My dog had a swollen muzzle, called the emergency hotline told me to drop my baby off and they would take care of him. Excellent service and they took care of my baby boy. 4 days later I had to make the hardest decision to put my senior girl dog down, they are very compassionate and sweet. On Father’s Day my boy dog had to have emergency surgery one day after I put my little senior girl down. Nichole Millici was fabulous, kind, caring and compassionate. It was a long week with my dog, he ended up getting phenomena and once again service was amazing girls in the front were wonderful. They took care of us really well and I couldn’t of asked for a better place to take my fur baby. Thank you for saving my little boy ????????????????????????

They understand our needs and work with our schedule. They maintain reliable hours (this was a major concern at our out of town vet). They also fill prescriptions in a timely manner.

We were staying overnight in the RV park and our golden was not feeling well. We called and they said to bring her right in. All the staff were very friendly and Dr. Ludwick was awesome.

I wouldnt take a dead dog to see Milici. Very cold personality. Took my some what feral cat in because she was coughing. Listened to her for a second and then grabbed her and said she was doing an x ray. Came back in less than 5 min for the carrier and said she had pneumonia had given her an injection and the cat was fat and needed a diet. Charged $ 300+ and I am not sure she even had an XRay. Have had one other issue in the past. Would never ever let her treat any of my animals. Dr. Ludwick and Dr. Figuroa are OK.

We love Bishop Vet Hospital! If we lived closer they would without a doubt be our go to vet for EVERYTHING! The staff is so accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and CARES! We always travel with our pets to the mountains and unfortunately a few times we have run into medical issues with our pups. This vet has saved our lives and our dogs too! Highly recommend!!

Initial emergency was good. Vet I saw a younger blonde female was great office staff great. Follow up call about my dog which was an emergency the girl who answered was so rude. Waited 2 hours for a follow up call and nothing. Was treated like I was stupid over the phone for asking where to get a cone even tho they had them at the vet that was only offered last. Was asked what I needed even after sending a picture of my dogs face bleeding and saying she was in pain. Was dismissed and told she shouldn't be in pain. Have had this happen before which is why I won't use this vet for normal vet care. Important to teach phone etiquette because it matters.

When we thought our dog was having a medical emergency, we were able to be seen right away, even after-hours. So grateful to Bishop Vet Hospital and Dr Runley especially for kind and compassionate care!

Great in everyway, we love, the only thing that is frustrating is the hold time when you call often goes for 20 minutes or more

I will never take a pet there again. My cat had two kittens but was having a real hard labor that lasted over 12hours and was howling as if she was still going to have another kitten. I'm a firm believer in spaying and neutering your pets and unfortunately this was her second litter and I didn't realize she was pregnant. I was told over the phone that it would be around 3 to 400 dollars. When I got there someone came out side and told me, it could go up to a thousand dollars and I didn't care, I just wanted my cat to be okay. I did have a spay neuter certificate from the humane society so I asked them to please give her a hysterectomy and if she had any kittens or any placenta in her that would take care of it. And I handed in the spay or neuter certificate thinking that it might help, with a discount if there was any extra fees or cost. An animal control agent showed up and the doctor telling me that they were not going to charge me anything but I had to relinquish the kittens over to the humane society. I just wanted my cat to be treated. I don't think being coerced into sign the kittens over, bwhile under distress, was professional or even legal. Needless to say my cat is fine, the kittens are fine, but I have to relinquish the kittens to the humane society (which I had already had homes for). No one spoke to me; I do not know if there where more kittens or if there where any complications, they just handed me my cat, after I paid $60 for the neuter. I got a call from an officer from the humane society the next morning. She had already set up to take the kittens away, that morning. After stating that Mama Kitty was feeding them and they were doing just fine she stated that I needed to give her the kittens as soon as the mother was done nursing. The $60 was a donation to ICARES, which is a wonderful organization, who financially helps people who cannot afford to stay neuter their pets. Thank God for carrying people at ICARES with the spaying and neuter of pets.
