They are all the best. I have worked with each one of their vets and most of the techs, and they're all stellar. I've referred several friends to this clinic and they all tell me they had no idea that vets could be this good, kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I have two senior cats, so I see them a lot for many check ups, and the team at Campus Vet is always on point.

When it came time to euthanize our cat after kidney disease had taken its toll, Dr. Lee and her associates treated Letty with compassion and care. The experience was sad for me, but not painful for our cat. She passed peacefully thanks to the professional care. I am so thankful for my experience at Campus Veterinary Clinic.

I've been taking my cat here intermittently since 2013, and I've never been completely happy with it, but it is so close to my house and is not bad. It seems as though they want to sell/charge you as much possible. This morning the vet diagnosed my cat with laryngitis and then tried to sell me on $900+ worth of services: $200 for two medications, $250+ in lab work, $350+ for X-rays, and $100 for an emergency visit (I wasn't sure if her breathing was affected so brought her in last minute). They were very responsive and took care of her quickly. For this, I think the $100 is very reasonable. The recommendation of everything else given how expensive they are and likely not necessary seems unreasonable. It also felt as if the vet was trying to guilt me into paying $900 for my cat's laryngitis. The vet pushed back twice when I said I didn't want to buy the medication - the $200 medications were so that she would eat her food despite having a sore throat. She just cleaned her plate without any trouble and no medications. I'm skeptical when this vet tries to sell me something extra because they've done it in the past. My cat's teeth were cleaned in 2019 at a vet in New Orleans. I moved here that same year, brought my cat back to Campus Vet, which was previously her vet, and the first thing they recommended was a teeth cleaning. This recommendation was not based on the state of her teeth because they had just been cleaned. I guess they didn't have any record of her teeth being cleaned and thought that was something they could convince me to do for my 8 year old cat (the cost is almost $1000). Cleaning a cat's teeth is risky because you have to anesthetize the cat completely. It's a big deal. For them to recommend it when she didn't need it and it's risky made me lose more trust in this place (another incident happened with a previous cat I had and brought here). Overall, this place is good, but they are like car salespeople - they will try to sell you unnecessary stuff - but they have more power than car salespeople because I imagine (and hope) that we all love our pets more than our cars.

Everyone at Campus Vet is so kind, caring and conscientious. Dr. Pierson goes above and beyond by promptly returning phone calls and explaining in detail issues and test results. He and Dr Hannabess both seem to genuinely love their jobs, have a very high level of expertise and are so caring toward our pets. I can’t imagine getting better service or care anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at Campus Vet!

The staff is helpful and on top of things, and Dr. Pierson is thorough and gentle with our cats. The office and exam rooms are always clean. Convenient location, with two dedicated parking spots and street parking.

We have been coming to Campus Vet for over 12 years. Dr Hannahbess, Dr. Pierson, Dr. Lee, Mimi, Jasmine, Emilie, and the whole team - I can't say enough wonderful things about all the veterinary heroes here. We feel we are in great hands. Every effort is made to fit us in during emergencies and check in on us after we've been in. Even though we moved to Oakland long ago, we still make the drive to Campus Vet in Berkeley – and we will continue to do so. Thanks for all!

My two dogs have been under the care of Campus Veterinary Clinic for almost 10 years now and I could not be happier with their services. Reliable, honest (good and bad-no sugarcoating), and they genuinely care for their clients and their fur-babies. I could not ask for a better team or better vets. Thank you Dr. Pierson and Co.!

Smaller vet but a great experience every time we take our pets

Very good for pandemic. Order meds in advance, then drive up and call them. They bring the medicine out and put it on a little table

All of the vets and staff are simply remarkable at this animal clinic. They take their time to carefully explain things to you. They are upfront about the costs of treatment. They are genuinely interested in resolving any health issue your pet might have. The technicians and office staff are extremely caring, patient and hard working.

We absolutely love this place and so does our pup! Everyone there is so helpful and kind, and every time our little boy comes out from an exam or a procedure he's in good spirits! We've actually never been inside because of Covid but we're grateful of the lengths the go to to keep us safe during this time, while being communicative with us through every step of the process.

Jasmine, Tammy, and Dr. Pierson are simply wonderful and I am so grateful to them for their kindness and care in helping care for my dog. If you are in the area, this is the place to go if you want the best care imaginable for your pet! Thank you all so much!

I want to start by saying that I used to love this place; the staff was friendly and responsive. However, during my last visit, I feel that the negligence was so overwhelming that I have to warn others. I took my 12-year-old dog, named Nigel, in to have his ear infection checked out. As a result, Dr. Hannahbess prescribed him Mometavet but failed to mention that this prescription has been known to cause deafness in sensitive dogs (i.e. geriatric). This is especially appalling because Dr. Hannahbess was fully aware that Nigel was geriatric and was recently diagnosed with a devastating disease. These factors all make him the epitome of a sensitive dog that this prescription could impact negatively. Had Dr. Hannahbess had the decency to warn me that deafness was a potential side-effect, I could have been more vigilant in looking out for symptoms and halted the prescription sooner. Instead, he went completely deaf, which is what prompted me to halt the prescription. It is absolutely devastating to have just recently learned that my dog has a paralyzing disease and now is deaf on top of it. It was especially heartbreaking and horrifying to learn that Dr. Hannahbess had seen this occur in another dog prior to this and still said nothing. My warning to any dog owner who brings their beloved pet here is never to trust what the veterinarian tells you; you must always do your own due diligence. They do not care enough to inform you fully. The reality of it is, to them, Nigel was just another patient. They could never fully comprehend how special he is to me. In addition, I just took a look at the yelp reviews, and it seems that there are other reviews regarding Dr. Hannahbess's carelessness and desire to give treatments regardless of the necessity or the side-effects.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this clinic. My pet and I have always been treated very well, even when I had to bring her in during COVID (you drop off outside and talk to the doctor via phone). When we were going through an emergency last year, they were there every step of the way. When we had a dental cleaning this year, they were clear with instructions and everything went well. Highly recommend.

Our pup can be a little shy and nervous at the vet, and the people at Campus Vet always make her feel so secure and safe. They take the time to greet her and give her treats and pets and make sure she isn't feeling nervous. We really appreciate how easy they are to work with and they take amazing care of our girl!

Just took my dog to his yearly checkup and he got his vaccines updated. This clinic has done an excellent job the whole 2 years I’ve been going, and has even stepped it up like 19 notches during COVID restrictions. They take the time to explain everything going on with your pet over the phone before, during, and after the appointment. Such excellent customer service and really helped me feel my dog is in good hands, which is comforting when I can’t accompany him to the appointment inside!

The vets and the staff here are awesome. This is the only vet I’ve been to where my dog doesn’t get nervous. They are so good with animals! They really care about your companions.

Dr. Lee and all the staff at Campus Veterinary who I've had the pleasure of working with are amazing. Dr. Lee went above and beyond to help me through one of my cat's terminal illness. The staff has always been amazingly kind and helpful for me, both during difficult times and routine office visits. Even during the COVID pandemic, I feel like my cats are getting the best care possible and I'm so glad I found Campus Veterinary Clinic. They make sure I know all the treatment options, and did not try to push treatments that were not necessary or appropriate for my cats. They are also very responsive to my questions between visits, which is extremely helpful when dealing with chronic illnesses. I highly recommend this business to anyone who loves their pet!

Dr. Lee is our vet and takes excellent care of my dog and two cats. I have been taking my animals to Campus Vet for fifteen years and they have taken great care of each of my furbabies past and present. I'm looking forward to a long and happy life with the furkids thanks to Campus Vet. Thanks Campus Vet!

We tried a few different vets before finding this one when we got our new puppy. It brings such peace of mind to have a place that you trust to bring your pet. They're incredibly reliable, accommodating, kind and they know their stuff! We couldn't ask for more from Campus Veterinary Clinic or our vet, Dr. Hannahbess. Highly recommended!!

Friendly, gentle, and knowledgeable vets and staff. Very professional level of care, both routine care and surgery. Our rescue dog had surgery for "breast" cancer, which appears to be completely cured. The after care and follow up by Dr. Pierson was exceptional. I totally trust this clinic with our pet.

Got a same day appointment which was good. Doctor was kind, careful and knowledgable and gave a thorough exam. She was able to help our dog who had a sudden pain onset (neck or back pain as it turned out). BUT! They somehow try to feed on your fear as a pet owner/lover and come up with a crazy price list of all the things they 'could' do. And they prescribed drugs (pain killers and anti-inflammatory) which are made for humans and so are available at any pharmacy. Campus Vet priced them at 6 times the CVS cost (!! $60 vs $10). So try to calm your anxiety about your beloved pet. Get a second opinion before dropping a couple grand and also ask for a scrip and check the regular pharmacy first!

Our small dog Josie had a sudden onset of kennel cough on a Friday morning. We were anxious to have her looked at and to start medication if required. We were unable to get an appointment at usual vet; we waited fruitlessly at an emergency clinic for hours while getting bumped by more urgent cases. Very late Fri afternoon we tried Campus Veterinary on a neighbor's referral, and were lucky they could make a place for us at the end of their day. Dr. Hannah Bess and her assistant were terrific with Josie, and the office staff were efficient at obtaining Josie's records from usual vet and processing us in and out, with prescriptions. All around, a good experience at this clinic!
