Our previous vet closed their doors unexpectedly. SW Vet was recommended to us. SW Vet staff was helpful and patient as we navigated a new place. I am looking forward to vet care for our dog for the years to come.

I recently had to board my dog for the holidays. She is a rescue and has been through a lot, so she is nervous by nature. Southwest Veterinary Hospital took great care of her. When I came to pick her up, she looked so happy and the staff was very kind and friendly. I will be bringing her back if she needs to be boarded again.

Took my old baby in to get an annual check up and an exam on a skin rash she had going on, everything went smoothly and everything was explain and any questions I had were answered. Had a great experience, only the best for my old baby ❤️ Love her to bits 14yr old chihuahua mix and still going strong!

I was looking for a vet for my new puppy, Cooper, and they had an opening which I was super excited to hear about. They are so attentive and caring, from the front receptionist, to the assistants, to the doctors. I had questions and Dr. Holland took that time to answer them and give me additional tips. Love this veterinary and would absolutely recommend it to everyone.

I drove to and parked outside the front door. I then called the vet number posted in front where I parked. It was maybe 5 minutes for a vet tech come out and take my pet inside. They had my pet back to me with a full report about 10 minutes later. So polite and caring. Great experience!

My 2 cats were spayed here. The vet did an excellent job and also gave the cats pain medication. I also received excellent communication, including instructions, via Email.

With two dogs, I find peace of mind knowing that Southwest Veterinary Hospital is there to take care of any problems.. From the doctors to the front office staff to the vet assistants, every one of them is a caring, friendly professional. As always, it was another great visit to Southwest Vet. It was just an annual physical and updated vaccines for one of my dogs. On short notice, I asked if I could bring my other dog for his physical. Without hesitation they accommodated my request and took care of both my dogs with care, concern and professionalism. From check-in to check-out staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. Dr Love listened to my concerns and explained everything my dogs needed to maintain their health and live long lives. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. I look forward to bringing the boys in for a teeth cleaning in January!

They too would not help. Not taking any new customers. Trying to get my old dog put to sleep. He's having many problems.

We really appreciate and trust Dr. Love at Southwest. Kind and compassionate and patient with Diaha!! Our pet was not feeling well and not her usual self AND grumpy. Dr Love handled it just fine. Positive experience! Our other experiences have been amazingly compassionate. Dr Holland gave our pet Sally an extra 2 years of life!! 2 other vet suggested to put her down!! Dr Holland had enough faith in me as a loving pet owner, gave me 24 hours to do extensive steps to follow.. if I did what I was instructed and she made it..(she did!) Then she might improve. She got bettering that 24 hours, well enough to remove cancer and I got to hug Sally for 2 more years.. what a gift and what a Vet! Wouldn't think about going anywhere else. Thanks so much

Have been having bad luck trying to find a good Vet here in Bakersfield and Southwest Veterinary Hospital has been the best. They are so friendly and professional. They really do show they care about our pets and take the time to listen to all problems.
