Incompetent, shady and run-down. This vet will attempt to upsell you on unnecessary, overpriced procedures and medication. Their receptionist struck out after copying either my phone number wrong, address wrong, and reason for appointment wrong on all 4 times we visited. They have you constantly coming back for visits attempting to pad your bill every time, adding procedures that were not discussed when making the original appointment. Last week, I came in for a booster shot for my puppy and they tried to sell me on many more shots, and then told me they could not see him because he needed a relaxant before they were willing to administer the shot - something they didn't tell us when we made the appointment. I pleaded and they said to come back next week, as if I have all the time in the world to break free to them during work hours. The amount of extras they tried to tack on when I had my puppy fixed brought the bill to over $800. I had to have them go through each line item and whittle it down to about $650, which was still a ridiculous sum given their subpar office and staff. Their office is run down, with a decor stuck in the late 60s. For what they charge, you would expect a state-of-the-art vet facility. Lastly, their rules are ridiculous. Only one person can go into a room at a time, and even then, they won't allow that person to be present when a shot is administered for what they claim to be "insurance reasons"... I have been to many vets and never heard of such a policy. I'm taking my business elsewhere after trying them out. i doubt anyone in the area could be worse or more expensive.

I've had nothing but great experiences bringing my 3 dogs and 2 cats since moving to the area. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Best veterinary hospital in the area by far.

Everyone was was awesome! Very clear on everything from appointment times to diagnosis. Staff was very helpful and you did not feel rushed. Explanation of results were to the point and very clear. At no time did I feel I needed more information. I feel I made a good decision taking out pet to this facility. Prices are very fair.

The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. I have a very shy dog and they took the time to make her feel comfortable! The new veterinarian they have, Dr. Haas, is absolutely incredible she is very talented and cares about your pets!! Best vet clinic in the area!!

The best "bedside manner" from any vet i have been to. I transferred here from a vet i was with for about 20 yrs because of the attention to detail regarding my fur family. I had overheard a conversation with the doc and my buddy. Her explanations, tone and the apparent concern for his dog was what brought me to them and when one of my dogs went in for the first time, I was treated in the exact same fashion. I could tell they care about the animals and it deeply shows!

Very professional, but if you don't like curbside drop off, then find another vet. My fur babies were a little traumatized when I had to wait in the car while they were taken inside.

They resolved the health issue my pet was having. Staff was very polite and communicative. My pet had to stay there all day for the care he needed. They called me with regular updates throughout the day. The doctor also did a follow up phone call a few days later and answered all my questions. I am pleased with the service and would use them again.

Really knowledgeable and loving. I felt heard and my dog was thoroughly checked. This vet caught some concerns I didn't even bring up. No expensive treatment. Just good common sense care. I love this vet!

Dr. Haas and her team are wonderful! At our visit, we recieved the most heartbreaking news you can get when you take your beloved pets in to get checked out. My baby girl was 10, and was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer that had taken over. Dr. Haas was very clear on what the cancer was, what my options were, and what the outcomes would be. She did it with kindness and straight forward. While we weren't able to save my girl, the team at Bowman were the best in providing me and Lila with compassion, and tenderness, and gave me the time I needed to grieve. And the sympathy card with handwritten notes from the staff was very touching and personal. I thank you sincerely!

I was there to visit Dr. Haas, the owner and vet. I'm sure that it's an excellent vet hospital because of Dr. Haas. She's an outstanding vet and just has a special way with her patients and pet parents.

As experienced GSD (German Shepherd Dog) rescue volunteers, my family has worked with literally dozens of vets all over the greater Sacramento area for the last decade. We're not experts, but with all that experience gained with fostering over 90 rescue dogs, we know a good vet when we meet one. So I was very pleased when I recently learned that Dr. Christine Haas had joined the practice at Bowman. After previously experiencing the level of compassion, care and genuine concern she showed for every one of the rescue dogs we have put in her care, she has also become our vet of choice to care for our own dogs as well. What we like most about working with Dr. Haas is that she is very thorough in her diagnosis and recommendations, and she communicates clearly giving you the information you need to make good decisions for the care of your pets. We have also come to appreciate the fact that she stays current on all the latest research, and can provide sound advice on nutrition, and specialized care methods like acupuncture. At the same time, she will not hesitate to consult with her senior practice principals for advice, or do additional research on a specific condition to help get the right answer. These are the kinds of things you'd hope all vets would do. But it's an amazing find to have someone willing to actually take the time to do them. Besides our deep appreciation and respect for Dr. Haas, we've been delighted with the service and support from the whole staff at Bowman. The front office staff is super efficient, and polite and will bend over backward to accommodate appointment requests. In particular, Jade has been extremely helpful in following up with our foster dogs. The other reason we like Bowman clinic is that they are part of a small family owned group of vet practices. This means they have the resources to invest it state of the art technology without becoming part of a massive corporate chain to do so. Due to COVID restrictions, I have not had a full tour of their facility. But from the photos I've see of their remodel, it looks first rate. I would highly recommend this practice. And for anyone looking for a fantastic vet to develop start a care relationship for your pets with, get an introductory appointment with Dr. Haas. You'll be glad you did!

The people who work at Bowman are fantastic! They are so kind and loving to our dog and cat and make over them like they are the most adorable animals they've ever seen. They explain everything for us and don't make us feel like we are asking too many questions. If you need a kind, loving office to care for your pets, look no further than Bowman!

Bowman Veterinary Hospital is Awesome! They have taken care of my pets for the last 5 years. Jade has such incredible customer care and service, and the vet assistants are incredible. Our dog just had a huge mass removed and the care and follow up was amazing. The surgeon did a great job too and our little Pixi is back to normal and eating again. I highly recommend Bowman Vet.

We took our very sick and old furbaby to them. We knew something was not right. He was a Bouvier Dr Flanders, over large about 120 lbs and on back legs stood 6' plus. Covid was in full swing so we checked in by phone and stayed in car until a nurse came out to us. We tried to get him out of the car and it was no good. So the nurse went back inside and brought the doctor out to us. With the 4 of us helping him, he was able to get out. His back legs just wouldn't work for him any more. The doctor came back out to us in the car and gave us a couple choices of how to go. Unfortunately it was to put him to sleep. She was kind, waited for us to decide and then offered to let us go in and be with him at the time. I couldn't and she understood but my husband went in. All were very kind, understanding, respectful and even though it was the first time they met our boy were just as effected as us. We received a card from the center and all signed the card. I cried even more then. Tomorrow my husband will pick up his ashes and I am sure he will be given much respect from all. I thank all of them for making a very hard time go so smooth and respectful. If we ever get another fur baby I know we will go back to this business no question. We had been to 3 other places in the area over the years and none we as caring and sweet to both the animal and the humans. Thank you.

BVH staff have cared for my "senior" Lhasa Apso mix for going on six years. They are welcoming, caring, and thorough, yet never urge unnecessary procedures. Even during these challenging times, they ensure safe and efficient service. I always feel that a visit to them is like a visit with family. p.s. the senior discount is appreciated!
