Always a good visit for my Rocky kind patient caring and loving not pushy they make recommendations....they let me space out my puppy shots so he didn't have to have them all at the same time so I took him in a couple of weeks between shots so it wouldn't be so hard on him. Rocky likes going there and isn't afraid of them and is happy when he comes back to me and very convenient close to Lake of the Pines good follow up when I have a concern and leave a message they always call me back with an answer even if there very busy and always try to get me in especially if its an emergency so yes I highly recommend this bussiness!

My dog was having a siezure and the clinic had JUST closed and they refused to stay a bit longer to help us. We had been long time patients and tjis was a real emergency. I ended up driving to another veterinary clinic, which wa sd CV losed) but they met me at their office snd took care of my sweet dog immediately. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the Lake of the Pines clinic. I never went back.

We have been bringing our fur babies to the clinic for over seventeen years. Dr. Grimes and her staff have always provided professional and thoughtful care, whether it was a cat who fell from a tree and needed stitches to routine wellchecks ,vaccinations ,and referrals for specialized services. Great place! Suzie D

We recently moved to this area and just had a great first experience with everyone here! Very friendly, informative, and takes the time out to answer questions. We are excited for our next visit and to get to know the staff as our puppy grows!

Hm....it takes just one visit where an attendent or tech is inconsiderate...maybe pre-occupied...to give the impression 'You bother me. GO AWAY!" to compel my doing just that!! I sat on the bench outside in the heat and was not offered even a leash for my anxious Jack Russell SweetPea (SP) while the tech messed around finding the chart. And SHE is the one the moved my appointment from tomorrow to this day. You'd think the chart would have been pulled. Sorry...the heat, the disregard for SP, returning TWICE for this simple 'rattlesnake vac' was too much. Ten minutes in that heat was enough!!! BYE BYE Vet Clinic!

The best local vet. They really care about the animals, and are knowledge able. Plus can't beat the location.

Came to the clinic because it is the closest to my home. The veterinarian is very nice and helpful. I didn't get that same interaction with the rest of the staff. Very unwelcoming - no one greets you when you walk in the door. Terrible communication - never explains what shots they are going to give your animal and they don't call you when the test results are in, they just send you a bill. I've tried to explain my frustrations and they were very short and seemed put out to give me any customer service.

Such a nice staff. They've taken care of our dogs since we've lived in the area. They were very supportive and helped me through the last days of my very old dog's life. Very compassionate people there.

Since moving here 18 years ago, Dr. Grimes has been our vet for all four of our Akitas. When she told me on our first visit, she had never seen such well behaved Akitas, we were hooked. We work hard to raise loving dogs who can be aggressive jerks if not trained correctly. It was nice she recognized our hard work. Dr. Grimes has helped us thru some very trying and emergent times, ie. Anaphylaxis after swallowing a meat bee, rattlesnake bite, three TPLO surgeries w/ referral to the best ortho surgeon, cancer in our first female and most recently multiple myeloma in our sweet Kodai. Although his Oncologist was at Loomis Basin, Dr. Grimes' assistance throughout our 1.5 year battle was amazing. The comments about cost is incorrect. Our three night stent at Loomis Basin's ICU was $13,500(although we'd do it all over again). I love Loomis for emergent needs, but costs more in comparison to Animal Clinic. You get what you pay for and if you want excellent care, you may spend a little more than another local vet, but completely worth it. Trust me, we've spent a very pretty penny over the years with them. Being in the medical field, I am knowledgable with disease process, injuries, meds, etc. If I felt we were ever being mistreated or being billed above fee schedule, we wouldn't still be with Dr. Grimes. As for the comment about Brittany? Incorrect. She is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. Even near the end, Kodai still pranced in with tail wagging, happy to see her for his monthly blood draws. Our 1st Akita lived to be 13.5(tortion), 2nd Akita was 9(cancer), 3rd was 12(cancer 2 mths. ago) w/ his sissy still healthy and going strong. Couldn't have raised such healthy big dogs without their support. We will be forever grateful for their care of our fur babies. Sincerely, Michelle and Brian Ruhkala

Popular location... but then again it's the only clinic in this area. Interesting people work here.

Dr. Grimes has been our vet for 17 years and seen our pets thru some pretty difficult illnesses. She is highly trained and empathetic. She works well with other specialists in this area. We highly recommend her practice!
