It's impossible to get anyone to respond to you when you call or email! I found a dog in town and took it here in hopes of finding the owner. I made them put me as first point of contact if no family claims it so it wouldn't be put down as it was a senior dog and sure to be on the kill list immediately. I have called at least 12 times and emailed several more and nothing.

Best place to adopt a pet I recommend them 100 percent so nice and very knowledgeable about the pets .

I had been here one time prior and it was fabulous, then I brought my female shih Tzu to be spayed, when they returned her to my truck after the surgery she had feces around her back end area and her paws, I wiped it down as much as I could with tissue until I got home. Then a couple hours later I checked her incision and there was feces around there as well.. when I had mentioned it to the lady who had returned her to my truck she just looked at me and had nothing to say. I was very disappointed in that area. But I do believe they are a great shelter. Or at least I pray to God they are.

This place is atrocious!! They’re a rip off and unethical. One star is a generous review. If I could give them less than one star I would. The Director is EVIL!!

I called & made an appointment to come to the shelter on Zuni Rd in AV. I went to my appt. The people there were very attentive to what I was wanting, as a new addition to my family! They gave me plenty of time to look, pick, & introduce my family to there new little sister! All went well as we had hoped! Thank You All, at VVAPL!!!!!

I love bringing my pets here for vaccines. I’m in and out. They also fix my pets and took really good care if them

They never answer there phones I literally called 24 times.... And no one picked up... And then they say u have to make a appointment for shots.. they act like there so busy when I went in they were just standing there they were just ignoring the phone helping no one... Useless employees

Went for first vaccine on puppy, quick and professional staff. Schedule second appointment soon.

awesome people I took dog & cat food for them

I use them for annual vaccinations but today I used them to put down our dog. They made a hard situation easy and showed compassion. Our little buddy had health issues and was very old . They gave him peace .

They impounded our pups but we got them back. This shelter has really upgraded since we lost went there. It smelled better and was a lot cleaner. Thank you to whomever donated the A/C units for the animals. You are truly a blessing

Love this place to get my fur baby her vaccinations and just to see the pupa.and the big turtle he really has a rabbit best friend.

Half the staff super friendly, the other half kind of rude. Military don't get charged for the animals which is nice.

In my opinion they could be a little bit more organized especially with the phone calls and voicemails. Their friendliness is definitely a five-star. That procedure may need a little bit of work.

the dogs section was terrible several broken water faucets sick means dogs in this heat have to be hands fed water and they're only 1 young girl working all the kennels the males young and old stand around gossiping and not focused on the animals more focused on conversing among girls and texting on their phones really sad!

I adopted a cat that didn't get along with my girls and they had no problem to get him back. Very nice ppl working there.
