We have three rescue dogs: Pablo, Frankie and Gus. Providing them with the most excellent care is very important to us. When Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital opened, we decided to give them a try. I’m so glad we did! Our pups are provided with amazing care there! Their extended hours allow for early/late appointments and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Reza truly loves the animals he takes care of, and it shows. We just had Gus in today after boarding him somewhere for 9 days - and him coming out sick. Gus was lethargic, wouldn’t eat or drink and was vomiting. Dr. Reza saw Gus right away! He went over his treatment plan with us, that started with the minimum cost, and then go from there. He kept in touch with us all day, and without boring you with Gus’s situation, he came home tonight a BRAND NEW DOG - as healthy as can be! We’ll continue to use and recommend Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital! Give them a try!

Loved it here! If you’re looking for the highest quality medicine for your pet, this is the place. Both Dr. Giahi and Dr. Reza, along with the staff were the most caring professional I’ve ever met.

Beautiful hospital! Both Dr. Giahi and Dr. Reza have taken the best care of all my pets. All of them have had dentals and physical exams with both doctors and always had great outcomes. Highly recommend this hospital, will always come here.

Dr Reza is amazing!! Our French Bulldog has some defensive tendencies when he gets anxious (still in training), but Dr Reza solved our problems by placing a muzzle on the cutie! I myself have never been able to get a muzzle on him. Then we were in and out for vaccinations in less than 5 minutes. What a worry saver! I would never take my little guy anywhere else now.

Hands down the best clinic! I will not take my dog anywhere else. I live 15 miles away and will make that drive to be seen by the one I really trust. Dr. Reza is the kindest and is so very knowledgeable. The patient and owner get treated like family. And it does not stop there. The staff is amazing. They make you feel right at home. I know my pup is in great hands here.

Very clean and tidy place. Very staff member was very nice and caring. Doctor Reza had was very caring with handling my cat. I highly recommend this hospital for anyone who loves their pet.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. They go above and beyond to help. This place definitely exceeds my expectations every time. I have been coming to this location since they opened, I am extremely happy with this animal hospital, the staff is very nice and helpful. The veterinarian Reza is great and super caring. It’s is very comforting leaving my pets at this location. I have recommended several relatives and friends to this location all who have had similar experience.

The staff and Doctors at Aliso Viejo Animal hospital are the best . From the moment I walked in the door I was helped by nice staff. Kind considerate and informative with a concerned puppy owner. we appreciate the great care and compassion that was taken with our new puppy. What a relief to have found you wonderful people. Very disappointing service and response from the owner. I was attacked for a critical review on Yelp and I am totally shocked that a professional would act in such a manner.

I am an animal lover and my pet is my life. I don’t trust any Dr. or pet services with closed eyes, so I found Dr. Reza from his paitients family when he was practicing in Banfield Hospital years ago and I was going through big lengts to find appointment with him to bring my Dog that only him could visit. Im So glad that Aliso Viejo animal Hospital is directed by Dr. Reza the most knowledgeable, caring, honest and professional gentlemen I have ever pleasure to know and more than anything I can bring my dog anytime it needs without any hassle or worries and know there is Dr. Reza to take care of him. All personnel in this facility are nice and professional. As a matter of fact few times when Dr Reza was not in office I had pleasure of knowing Dr Pablo as professional as Dr. Reza. My experience have always been so satisfactory in regards to appointment, diagnosis, expenses, and results that me and my dog get benefited. The diagnosis of the issues have been right on and Dr Reza have been always right no matter what the situation was. Just recently I noticed my beloved dog was limping, followed all Dr Reza’s advices and diagnosis. My beautiful pit bull mix went through ACL surgery in Aliso Viejo animal Hospital so successfuly that he is less than a week after surgery is acting like nothing at all happened to him. No pain, no problems what so ever. Dr Reza’s instructions were complete and effective. We are getting followed up from entire personnel in this hospital and support that is offered is incredible. My dog Dottie has bad allergies and I’ve taken her to Banfield for several years for treatment but she seemed to never really get better at least not for long. I decided to bring her to Dr Reza for a second opinion since her latest ear infection was so bad that she was constantly shaking her head and her ears were so red even after just taking her into the vet. I took her in and Dr Reza spent more time and gave me more information than my previous vet ever has. He addressed all of my concerns but even better than that, he offered a treatment that actually worked well! It’s been over a month and she is 100% better and hasn’t had any issues at all. She’s so much happier and so am I! It’s evident that he not only is good at what he does but cares too! Thank you so so much, from me and Dottie!

Dr. R helped in a time of need, passing our 16 year old toy poodle Bella this evening. She was family and an Amazing, loving Dog. I pray we could all learn to behave more like our loving Dogs. Update: So went back for another visit with Dr. Pablo. Dr. Pablo is absolutely amazing. Very honest, genuine, informative. Takes his time, you never feel rushed or like a bother. He patiently answers all your questions regardless of how miniscule they may be. Cannot recommend him enough. If i had to rate him 1-10 I would give him a 20! Great 1st time experience at this Vet. Was very honest, kind, and affordable. I will definitely be going back! The girl at the front desk had a great, helpful, friendly attitude. The doctor was professional but very down to earth and understanding. My cat ended up having a cyst which he took care of right away and I got out of there paying much less than I expected. He was very honest and did not try to upsell me on anything. Definitely recommend this Vet!

Please take your animal family to someone who knows what they are doing! Pros: They were nice and professional. The facility is clean and looks nice. Cons: The knowledge seems to be severely lacking. We brought our 20 year old cat in on the weekend as our normal vet is closed on the weekends. She was in pain and had blood in her urine. They took a urine draw and found bacteria using their in house lab. They tell us it is a urinary tract infection and give us 10 days of antibiotics to give to her. We do this for 10 days and within a week after stopping the meds the blood is back and worse. So we take her back here as they know the history of this problem. They try another urine draw, unsuccessfully, and give her a pain med injection (Meloxicam). They send us home with 5 more doses of the same. Knowing that she was 20 years old and had blood in the urine, they never considered there could be kidney problems. Here is the warning from FDA.gov about Meloxicam "Repeated use of meloxicam in cats has been associated with acute renal failure and death. Do not administer additional injectable or oral meloxicam to cats." After this injection our cat was never the same again and died a very short time later. In the 10-20 minutes they had her, she changed to the negative in an extreme way. The next day after this injection I took her to our usual vet. He felt her kidneys physically and he did blood and urine work. He immediately knew the problem, but wanted to confirm it. She was in late stage chronic kidney failure and she was given an acute kidney punch with the meloxicam. We lost an entire month of kidney treatments for her from the very beginning because the thought of a possible kidney problem was never considered. There was never a thought of doing blood work or sending the urine to a lab in the beginning. Then a very controversial drug was injected into her. I don't know if it's lack of knowledge or lack of caring, either way do right for your animal family and go elsewhere. Our personal vet, Dr. Pat at Rancho Niguel Animal Hospital, has been awesome. The best weekend vet I have found is Laguna Hills Animal Hospital.

Overpriced. Make sure you do some research with other Veterinarians. There’s other places in AV that provide the same services without the price tag. Package price for puppy care was $957.00 but I found another local place for $300.00 less. Same vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, pre-anesthetic blood work, etc. I liked that the other place I chose provided a pet folder, list of everything needed, documentation to help with my new puppy on training, emergency services, etc. AV animal hospital gave me a hand written piece of paper and that was it. I’m really organized and I liked the pet folder. This place was ok, nothing that made it stand out.

We do not “shop around” when it comes to our dog’s health. Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital is the best place that we found in California (we lived in the Bay Area before). Dr. Reza is one of the best, most caring doctors we’ve ever met and we feel safe every time we leave our dog with him for any reason.

Having an older dog with lots of health problems, we've been to our share of veterinarians over the years. None has even come close to the care and attention we've enjoyed at this hospital- they're the best! Our dog has gotten everything from minor check-ups to medications to a major tumor removal surgery here, and they've always shown us nothing but kind and intentional care. Dr. Reza Moazzen in particular has done a fantastic job of keeping up with our dog and checking in on us, and worked with a great surgeon to remove his tumor. He's also very empathetic and understanding when it comes to pricing, and there are multiple times where he's given us discounts or small extra things like cleaning wipes to help alleviate the cost. Truly just an all-around great experience, couldn't recommend it enough! Thank you to everyone that works there!

Hands down the best vet office around. Dr. Reza and Dr. G are very Honest, knowledgable, proffesional and caring. They treat your dog like their owns. Staff are very welcoming, and professional. Unlike other vet offices it does not smell like urine. Their waiting area looks like and SPA and smells super clean. Every time I go in there is someone cleaning the office. They have 3 big TVs and a nice coffee maker to keep you entertained and comfortable while you are waiting; However, my waiting time has never been more than 5 minutes. We had an amazing experience with both our dog and cat wellness visits! Dr. Reza is professional and detailed, he was able to answer all of our questions and gave excellent information and tips regarding both our pet’s health care. The atmosphere is wonderful and even our cat remained calm and relaxed the entire visit.
