Love Providence! Just moved to Alameda and it's so convenient to have a great vet for my five cats right down the street. Zachary my senior kitty left the clinic and hospital calmer than he was on the very short drive over (he doesn't get out much). We have seen Dr. Miller at the clinic on a Saturday and Dr. Yoshida at the hospital and both experiences were positive, including interaction with staff being calming, accommodating, friendly, and responsive. Thank you Providence.

Lady who answered the phone was super rude and condescending. I was at the wrong location and had to drive to the other one and she told me that she’d let the vet know and that it was okay and by the time I got there she canceled the appointment for a procedure my dog needed and tole me to drive all the way back to the original location an hour later and was just super rude every time I spoke to her in the phone. Wouldn’t recommend this location. The other location was great!

The veterinarians and technicians we have seen are caring, professional, and thorough. The person answering the phone chastised me for errors that were a result of poor communication on their end and was difficult to work with. It is an expensive clinic. The scheduling and timeliness is usually prompt. After the experiences with the front desk and the high costs, I will look for a new clinic for my pets.

Bad experience, bad vibes and scared my little dog senseless, will not return. Staff was rude and condescending, clearly over their jobs and didn’t care to listen to any of my questions. Literally handed me my scared dog and turns the lights out. No joke.

This is our first time welcoming a furry friend into our home, and we are learning all the new details about proper care. Our doggo, Basil received great care here at her first visit. We were offered helpful guidance, and a follow up care plan that was affordable. The visit was simple. We drove up to the drop off parking spot, called and completed a quick intake process before handing over our pup (though now we are able to go in for the appointment). The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. We were called shortly after the drop off to work out a plan. Payments are available online. I don't have anything to compare to, so I can't speak to whether or not the cost is reasonable.

took my cat here once. The communication was very poor. I was sent multiple emails and called multiple times to fill out online paperwork which I had completed upon scheduling. They also forgot to go over their pandemic protocols prior to his appointment. I showed up and had to wait outside for 20 minutes before a vet tech came out- it would have been nice to get a heads up so that I could have brought a jacket and also not pay for parking. I was also not told that I would not be able to enter the facility with my cat. I was also astonished at how expensive this clinic was. They quoted me almost $900 for the visit and x-rays. I have had xrays on q cat before qnd the visit never cost more than $500. I was extremely disappointed with the poor communication and will likely go elsewhere for my future pet vaccinations and visits.

Such a nice place for pets. I love how they have separate doors for cats and dogs. It's very clean and neat, and everyone is so nice and helpful!! They also have their own parking space at the back which really helps when street parking is full.

Valerie is the sweetest receptionist! She helped me get everything I needed taken care of. The staff was super friendly and managed the CV19 restrictions and precautions with absolute grace.

Providence continues to provide great care for my cats during Covid. Efficient parking lot pickups and drop offs by caring , knowledgeable staff, good communication with vet on phone.

They have taken wonderful care of my dog for four years now (have been driving an hour for the last year because I love them). We regularly see Dr. Rothstein who is very knowledgeable, kind, considerate, super professional, and great with my dog. I am moving away soon and know how difficult it will be to find another vet I'll feel this good about. I can't recommend them enough.

NO! The post office is close to there. I wish i did have a small/medium dog to go out in COVID19. My tenants are into social activity revolved around second hand smoke, vapor and rituals not to mention other junk?????????

They are amazing! The doctor's, and staff, I've taken my pets here for 10+ years and have never had a problem or any issues. Love them and so do our pets.

Reasonably priced and seem honest -not trying to push extra tests but realistic in expectations

They refused to authorize my prescription over the phone for chewy.

Fantastic and Caring staff without the care being overpriced - they’re open on Saturday and Sunday as well as M-F and don’t charge the high amount that ER vets do on the weekend. One of a very few veterinary clinics that is open on both Saturday and Sunday.

Very friendly staff! They take great care of my girl Charkie....only complaint is the up-selling is a bit more than I have encountered with other vets. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Dr Lu and all of the staff are amazing and treat my dog so well and with so much love and compassion! Highly recommend Dr Lu!!!

I was facing the loss of my cat of 19 years. Jennea and Dr Luu were professionals, but so compassionate to my situation. They walked me through different scenarios, giving me time to decide what to do. Thank you.

Care seemed decent, but there is at least a 20% markup on medications and care than you will find elsewhere. There’s a reason they make there office looking a little fancy. If your fine paying 20% extra for a nice office then go for it.

Dr Whooley is the best

Our experience with them was excellent. We went for ainternational health certificate for our 2 cats. The were very accomodating and checked the cats. I recommend them!

Really gentle and competent staff. Dr Luu is very knowledgeable and thorough. So glad we found a great vet office on the island!
