The Pet Hospitals Midtown Memphis, Arkansas

The pet hospital has always charged too much been saying for years we need a new vet that’s more reasonably priced. But the location is just too convenient for us. Until today. Had cat scheduled for a neuter, they called to confirm appointment yesterday. Then as I’m parking in their lot I receive a call saying my appointment has been canceled for today. So I ask why. Well at another location a doctor called out today so we had to send the doctor scheduled to do your surgery over there. So all the customers/patients of the doc who called out get taken care of but I’m sorry out of luck. Not acceptable. When you charge twice as much you can’t steal my time too. You’ve lost a customer.

This place is absolutely amazing and the staff is so professional and courteous. Dr. Rucker has cared for my dog for a short period of time, but he has been the most patient and kind person. The support staff is also friendly and responsive. Dr. Rucker cares about our fur babies and their families. Unfortunately, my dog Peewee could no longer walk and had been suffering with pain and others issues. He was 12 years old and had been in our family since he was 2 months old. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him down today but the staff made our experience very pleasant, as they kept me informed on every step of the process. I highly recommend this animal care facility to anyone who needs care for all of your pets needs. It is very clean and you can always get in and out fairly quickly. Thanks for taking care of Peewee during our visits. He was always very comfortable with you all as he normally do not take to strangers.

Our pups see Dr. Opp, but have also been seen by multiple other vets at the Midtown, Downtown, and the Poplar & Massey office (for a nail trim or two). They treat my babies like their own, shower them in pets and compliments, and explain everything going on so well. Our older gal has had a few extra visits recently to fix up an ear hematoma and remove some lumps and each time, they take the best care of her. She even received a certificate and treat bag for being a brave girl ????. I had questions after hours and a vet got back to me within 30 minutes of leaving a voicemail. Their online chat is also super helpful. Our youngest is a rescue I adopted earlier this year and his first visit was free (other than his preventative meds and such). I couldn’t be happier with my experiences with The Pet Hospitals. They’re reasonably priced and take such good care of my two babies.

The doctor and staff keeps you updated on what is going on with your pet. Great customer service... very clean ... check on your pet the next day if any procedure was done. I almost didn't recognize Wendell because the grooming was Spectacular...looks great. My neighbor says, you have a new dog..lol

We brought our dog to this hospital after two other places that denied us because their doctors were out. At first we were grateful and thought that our dog would be taken care of. They called us an hour or two later telling us if we wanted them to actually do what needed to be done, we would have to pay all of it upfront. No payments at all. $300 for an X-ray $200 for bloodwork $55 for bloodwork $100 for a shot that would help him $93 for an iv and $86 for his medication. All we wanted was for our dog to survive and get him some help. He was a 6 pound yorkie. He died two days later because we couldn’t afford to pay it all upfront. I do not recommend going here. Especially if you’re like most of the population who isn’t sitting on money. If they really cared about helping we could’ve made payment. They would’ve saved our dog. They did nothing.

Since day one, you can tell their priority is to love your pet. Our dog Titus attends doggy daycare at the Midtown location while my husband and I are at work. Every time I drop him off, the team welcomes him by name and pets him. He LOVES walking into their facility because he knows it will be a good time as well. I'm so thankful for how well they take care of and love on Titus during the day. Amazing team of people!

The staff was great they took such good care of my sister Dimond a car ran over her back and broke her back leg an ruptured her intestines and she had to be put down we lost a family member today this is the worst day of my life by far but thank you to the pet hospital on union extended for doing all they could

The vets here are fantastic! Always make sure our dog's needs are taken care of and have always been transparent with us. Not to mention that nail trims are only $5! I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you are in search of a good spot for your pet's care.

Friendly vets that offer a lot of other great services, including very affordable doggie day care. Can’t find anything to complain about here

I very recently brought my new kitten in for his very first visit and was very pleased. All of the staff that I encountered were pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Our services were reasonable and we received immediate attention. I'm impressed this far and highly recommend The Pet Hospitals.

Staff is friendly and inviting

If you want the best for your furbabies this is the place your pets should be going to. First my niece brought her pet in. Then I brought a new puppy in. We went to one of the other Pet Hospitals clinic because she had to be seen within a set hours of purchase for warranty. That pet hospital was equally as awesome as the downtown office. I'm so relieved to know that our pets have doctor's that truly care about their patients. And are very knowledgeable in their work. I know my pets have the BEST taking care of them!

Really loved my first appointment with The Pet Hospital Midtown. Everyone was super nice, accommodating, and loving towards my little pup Frankie. Frankie is nervous around strangers however hearing that that she was playing and getting cuddles by the staff was comforting to know seeing as how I couldn’t be with her for her exam. Frankie and I can’t wait for our next visit.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! My dog, Arthur, LOVES going to daycare there, and the staff treats him like he is one of their own. The whole staff is incredible, but the daycare staff, especially Anne, really make me feel good about dropping Arthur off with them. Anne is always happy to tell me about Arthur’s day and I can tell that she really cares about her work and all of the dogs she looks after. If you’re looking for a vet or daycare, this is the place!

I highly recommend The Pet Hospitals for the care of your fur or feathered babies. I was not dissatisfied with our past vet but The Pet Hospitals were so amazing after an incident with my baby that I just simply felt the need to upshift. Why settle for a Chevy when you can have. Lexus?

Let me start by saying my fur baby suffers from anxiety. His anxiety level increased when we moved to Memphis, (new surroundings, new people, new environment.) I found Pet Hospitals on Google and gave them a call to see if they’d be able to help! The next day, he was seen and taken care of! They also offer “good visits” so that your animal can get well acquainted with the staff and become comfortable with them! I love them & definitely recommend! :)

Fantastic and I will be recommending this vet over all other

My French bulldog has so much fun at doggie day care. It’s such a bargain at 17. Per day. They will even trim her nails while there at no cost. Also the vet takes care of her (if needed) while she is there playing. I don’t write reviews often but they deserve this!

Dr. Hutchens is wonderful! Very reasonably priced, explained everything thoroughly, and took great care of my cat! Even worked me into the schedule the day of!

Very professional & quick service

We used the pet hospitals for Biscuit our puppy. We used their puppy shots packet, it was really cost effective, and made getting her shots super easy. Since it was during Covid, we were not able to go in with her, but they did a really great job of making us still feel involved in her care even though we could not be present for the shots.
