The Pet Hospitals - Downtown Memphis, Arkansas

The Downtown location has changed drastically since we first started going. I won’t ever be back. My review was not based on the one visit of last week but from the past years. And I am saddened that you chose to discuss the situation with my dog publicly and respond in the matter you did. It just further confirms that this practice has changed from what it used to be.

Took my puppy to his first vet appointment here and was very happy with our visit! All of the staff were very friendly and attentive, they held him and gave him a tour while I filled out his paperwork, and their love/compassion for him was very evident making a first time pet owner very comfortable. The price seemed very fair and Dr. Washington went above and beyond snuggling him the whole visit and helping make his first experience at the vet a very positive one. They answered all my questions, listened to all my concerns, and addressed his health holistically. We were very happy with our visit and can't wait to take him back!

They will be honest with you and try to work with you financially. But they are pricey. Okay place to work.

We had to bring our puppy to get checked out and the staff was very pleasant. Dr. Rucker took the time to listen to our concerns. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Overall we were pleased with our office visit. Thank you so much.

Dr. Rucker is very gentle with our cat, Mildred, and puts her (and us) at ease. He is very thorough and spends a lot of time with us. He's kind and compassionate.

Whoever the lady is with the dirty blonde chin length curly hair was extremely disrespectful to my boss and I. She was trying tell us to move our cars out of their reserved parking space that didn’t have a sign in front of it and came out the door already loudly talking in a disrespectful tone “IM GOING TO HAVE TO NICELY ASK YALL TO MOVE YALLS CAR” As I moved it she gave me a sarcastic thank you sweetie! with a wave. This attitude wasn’t necessary and I don’t appreciate how I was treated. Do better

I love the pet hospitals, all locations! Downtown is great because it's so close, the staff is so helpful, considerate, and truly have my dogs best interests in mind. Always good descriptions of anything before moving forward with treatment, always give options, and are always calling to follow up after starting a new treatment or a visit. Nobody I'd trust more with my dogs well-being!

I don't really ever write reviews but I just have to say The Pet Hospitals Downtown is amazing. They have always been so responsive, compassionate, and give great care to my puppy. I always can get in for a last minute appointment for a sick visit which has saved me a few visits to the ED. They do not over-test when it is not necessary but will offer appropriate diagnostics/treatment when indicated, and I feel like they truly care about me and my puppy! The texting service to be in communication is great because my job prevents me from being on the phone easily during work hours. Really great Vet.

Took dog and cat to get annual exam. A little bit high on prices.

The staff here care and are so helpful! My baby Chip had a fractured femur and was seen at an after hours emergency vet. Consulted here for a follow up to get him more meds and because he wasn’t eating. Dr. Washington and Dr. Rucker both took my concerns seriously and got Chip what he needed. Got him liquid pain meds (he hates pill). After 2 days of not eating Chip is eating again with the help of this magic ointment! He’s so much more comfortable. So grateful! I can sleep easy tonight.

I like how friendly everyone is. However I don't like the fact I am paying extra for things and they don't tell you until you are checking out.

I was visiting from out of town and my dog had an emergency. I called them and they had vet techs at the door to immediately take her in to be treated once we arrived. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and took great care of her. Dr. Rucker gave frequent updates for her improvement. If we lived in Memphis, I would take my dog there for her regular preventative care.

Wonderful staff. The facilities was very clean and orderly. Dr. Washington cared for Mel and he approved. That's all that matters.

I'm very blessed to have found a veterinarian like Dr. Ben Rucker. I learned a little ovr a year ago of Finley's heart failure. Dr. B. Rucker is a compassionate Dr. tht is willing to listen & person that really cares for your pets well~being. I know tht my Fïn is in good hands! And, Im so very thankful! Ty Dr. Rucker

My dog Oreo has been to all 3 locations of The Pet Hospitals. Almost 6 years of service. Great customer service! Kim the manager at this location leads by example and truly cares about each customer. The entire team was kind and professional!

Reading so many great reviews on The Pet Hospital Downtown, I knew this was the place to take my new puppy for his first exam. Dr. Washington and Dominque was a blessing in disguise for my Harley Baby. They treated him like their own and answered all of my million and one questions. Thank you ladies for welcoming us. We can’t wait to try the daycare and grooming services!

I love the staff has 4 Pets is amazing

Thank you, for your Carrying. I call and call No ???????? Pet Clinics or Hospital would see my Dog. Over the weekend he was throwing up and couldn't keep any liquids down and I got no mercy for my poodle then I called, Pet Hospital their sister clinic and the nurse called Pet Hospital they open the Emergency ???????? Doors at 6:00p.m but agreed to see us at 4:00pm Monday I have been searching and searching for help. When we got there a person came to the car and gave me the form to fill out. Then a nurse came out look at my poodle ???? Fluffy and said I believe he is gone she took Fluffy inside than 5 to 10 minutes later came out told my daughter and myself he's gone she asks if we want him Cremated my Daughter said no she wants to take him home ????. She said she will prepare him to go home ???? with use. She came back with him and had him laid on his blanket towel and had place him in a box and close it up. Fluffy was in human years 9 years old. We will never forget this never. I Thank GOD for your Help ???? and also. Wanting to Help ???? This was Very Hard on my Daughter and Myself. I pray GOD Greatly Bless this Hospital ????

The staff at the Downtown Pet Hospitals location is amazing! Dr Rucker and Dr Haddock are both wonderful doctors. During the weeks leading up to the recent loss of our precious Lola, Dr Rucker’s kindness, patience, and caring was above and beyond. We are forever grateful to him and their staff for walking through that sad time with our family, and we are so excited to have our new fur baby, Frankie, in their care! We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr Rucker has been Great with my little Chili Cheese, very good Vet and staff, caring and respectful, been to two of the Pet hospitals locations and would happily recommend them

Even during covid the vets and staff are friendly and very helpful! I will never take my pets anywhere else!! If only they had a reptile vet on staff!!

I just started dropping my dog here for daycare after visiting Dr. Haddock for vet visits. The staff is great, has excellent covid protocols (all curbside), and the pricing is very competitive. So glad to have found a great vet and daycare center in downtown! Highly recommend.

They were able to fit in my cat Max last minute when he was looking pretty under the weather. They took such good care of Max and covered all possible options to make sure he was feeling better. It was a huge relief to have such a great place helping us out during a stressful time.
